Guest Reviews
- Michelle Monique (10/5): - Everything was lovely, the venue & the views… very comfortable bed.
- Vuyani (10/5): Perfect, I wish we didn’t have to get back to the city a soon. - Beautiful location, loved the sounds of the ocean at night and morning. Nothing, we had everything we needed.

- Andy (10/5): A little gem in an exceptionally beautiful area - Fantastic location with beautiful sea views, beautifully decorated apartment and many great things to do in the surrounds. We will definitely return sometime soon.
Maryn is an exceptional host and provided great tips and was always willing to help.

- Catherine (9/5): Stunning views and such a relaxing, stylish place to stay. - Beautiful views and the apartment itself is gorgeous too! Well-kitted with high quality amenities, and the indoor swing is the perfect reading spot! N/a
- Robyn (10/5): A little gem in Pringle Bay - We loved our weekend at Suikerbos. The studio apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated with an excellent shower and comfortable bed. While we didn't spend much time indoors, the views are gorgeous. Will definitely be returning.
- CIRRUS TRAVEL (8/5): - Location. Good value for money Bed was too hard for me. But That's a personal choice.. Wifi erratic but that could be put down to the wind affecting the signal.
Change of towels at least once would have been nice.
Perhaps consider a washing machine? For the longer stays. Not critical though.
- paul (9/5): A very enjoyable 2 night stay, straight off our flights from the UK. It was perfect for relaxing - The quietness, view, location Nothing
- Tobias (10/5): - Super schöne Lage und sehr nette Gastgeber. Würden gern wiederkommen.
- Marco (10/5): - Suikerbos at Pringle is the perfect spot for a secluded getaway. The property looks just as good in real life as what it does in the pictures, you have spectacular views over the ocean! Location, beds, facilities, views all 10/10! Nothing bad to say.
- Ulla (7/5): angenehm für eine kurze Aufenthaltsdauer - Sauberes stylisches App mit Meerblick Leider konnten wir uns nicht auf den Balkon setzen, weil kein Zugang gewährt wurde.
- Delvina (10/5): -
- Koense (10/5): - Stunning location with beautiful views. Will definitely book again
- Van Rooyen (9/5): - The view was amazing. I loved watching the waves crash against the rocks along the coast from the windows. Staff was very nice and had good communication. I LOVED the swing, I felt like a child lol, but it was also relaxing. The bed is huge and was very comfortable. The shower was also very big and nice. Kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the cozy atmosphere. Thank you to the lovely staff/owners. It was a great getaway, even with the stormy weather. Unfortunately we stayed during really bad weather, but we don't blame the place for that lol, just our bad timing. However, unfortunately the place had one or two leaks in the roof, luckily didn't bother us too much though. I was also a little surprised that we didn't have any access to the balcony and was only informed the day of our visit. I think it should be made a little more clear in the booking information. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom, which I feel is nessescary. And the shower water was a little cold. We also didn't have enough toilet paper. We were given 1 roll per night's stay, but I feel like there should be at least one extra provided. Lastly, there were no sponges or wash cloths, so we had to learn how to use the dishwasher, but I would have still preferred to wash some things in the sink (we baught some sponges and wash cloths and left it there for the next person). Just a note that these were small things that luckily didn't bother us too much, but we hope the staff takes this into consideration for future visits.
- Michael (9/5): Unwind from Your Travels While Enjoying The Charm of Pringle Bay - This is the third time I've stayed at Lara's quiet property in Pringle Bay, a great locale to chillax for several days from the 24-28 hour flight from LA and attendant jetlag, before setting out on one's venture. It's only about an hour or so from the CPT airport, along the gorgeous Clarence Drive R44 route from Gordon's Bay but enjoys the serenity of the backdrop of the Kogelberg Nature Reserve's mountains and sound and sight of the South Atlantic's crashing surf nearby. The accommodation is on the second floor so the views are amazing. The center of town is but a few minutes away where most of your needs will be met. Fuel is about 10 minutes to the East in Betty's Bay and the Kleinmond SuperSpar is another ten past that. If you run out of Pringle Bay restaurants, there are several good ones in Rooi Els about 5 minutes to the West. Should you experience any difficulty on arrival or of any kind during your stay, Lara's very helpful friend Maryn lives directly across the gravel way. The entrance to the accommodation is up a steep set of stairs so would not be suitable for those for whom this would be a problem.
- Yeroosen (10/5): Absolutely wonderful! - It's a beautiful place in a wonderful location. Waking and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was beautiful.
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Great - Loved the 270 degree views of the ocean from all the windows
- Eric (10/5): Great place good people . Fantastic view - Place location, bed was wonderful, had everything you need. There was some dirt on the floor which I noticed when I was making food for the first time in the kitchen
- Melz91 (9/5): Superb -
- Naomi (7/5): Beautiful place. Relaxing and very quiet. - The host was very friendly. The tranquility about tye area and beautiful Seaview We couldn't use the front porch on owner request. Patio doors couldn't be open while the owners is at the property. My suggestion is that there is an divider between the owners and guest so both could enjoy the front porch.
- Railoun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zintle (9/5): Superb - Everything . It’s very cosy and Morden . I’d be lying if I say I didn’t like the place.
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional - The view from the apartment was stunning. Maryn went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. WiFi worked well. Nothing.
- Brenda (8/5): Wonderful apartment with great location and facilities - Everything On the Sunday evening guests in the main house were socializing on the deck right outside the apartment window and that was annoying. Fortunately it didn’t go on too late. I think in summer when people can stay on the deck and party then whoever is staying in the apartment will have a big problem.
- Michelle (8/5): Loved the views. - Close to the sea Not able to open the sliding doors onto the balcony which is for private (owner) use, but fully understand.
- Cammals (10/5): Beautiful 5* self catering unit with great seaview - Location! Nothing
- Marnus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hugh (9/5): Glad of the kitchen facilities as the town seems to close down by 4pm on a Sunday. A home made Pasta came to the rescue - Large, modern and everything you need. Nice views Would have gave a 10 if we could have used the ‘sea view’ balcony. Would be nice for an evening, watching the Sun go down, enjoying a glass of wine.
- Linda (7/5): Disappointed - The interior of the place is beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Guests should know that there is another unit downstairs. When I arrived the people in the downstairs unit were having a braai and playing music outside right below my door and windows. I could not open my windows until 8pm as all the smoke and noise blew right into the place upstairs. Also, the big sliding door to the balcony cannot be opened as that leads to the main house, so there is nowhere outside to sit and enjoy the view. In summer it was very hot. The place was not the quiet nature breakaway which it seemed to be. I booked for 3 nights but only stayed for one.
- Matheu (10/5): Our stay was perfect. Everything was in its place and the owners neighbour. Was there to show us what to do. - It was the perfect place for a little weekend away. The apartment was perfectly cosy. Both me and my girlfriend loved the semi rustic semi new feeling of the place. We definitely have no complaints and will definitely go again!! Everything was perfect with the property
- Willem (10/5): Overall we would love to stay there again for a longer period while completing a painting or two. - The location have beautiful partial sea views and the apartment felt like being at home . Well equipped kitchen. Safe neighborhood for walking and awesome bench nearby to enjoy sundowners with great view. A ceiling fan above the bed would be great for those hot summer nights. The unit is a bit on the warm side.
- Maxine (10/5): Absolutely superb! A stay that feels luxurious and homey at the same time. - The apartment felt like home and a getaway all at once. The area is so peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Watching the sunset over the water every evening from the dining room was the highlight of the stay. The apartment had everything we needed and I loved the style of the furnishings. The host was welcoming and kind and we will absolutely be back whenever we're in Pringle Bay!
- Jordan (9/5): Great value for money. Would stay here again. - Clean, nicely furnished and sea views. Very comfortable. No fan or aircon and it gets quite warm inside.
- Rishad (10/5): My stay at Suikerbos at Pringle was exceptional and I would highly recommend it. - The apartment has everything you could possibly need to make your stay feel like home, when you’re not out exploring. It is exceptionally clean, with a blend of modern and antique touches which give it a cozy, and welcoming feel. Above all it is safe. It is situated close to the sea with excellent views of the sunset. The Pringle Bay main beach is not very far if you’re up for a walk. I did not require much assistance since the property contacted me via booking.com with all the necessary information.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Leoni (10/5): Great apartment with a beautiful view - Unbelievable nice
- Marnie (6/5): A lovely apt that was spoiled by the very hard bed & the blocked shower due to hair and dirt - We liked the fact that the apartment had a sea view The beds. It was the most uncomfortable hard bed of the whole of our 3 1/2 week trip and in fact all my previous trips as well. There was hair balls on the floor which I had to pick up and the shower was blocked and overflowed as it was clogged with hair and dirt. 😞
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - The view was spectacular. The apartment was very spacious and open. Loved every minute of it.
- Anonymous (10/5): Come rest here and you’ll find yourself again - The property self is immaculate and there’s a lot of thought in the layout and the facilities Nothing it’s really bad great just book it
- Righardtb (9/5): Best place in Pringle Bay - It is in a very beautiful location with the most beautiful sunsets. It is very well equipped and great value for money. We will definitely book this place again when we are back in Pringle Bay. The bed was a bit uncomfortable since it is two separate mattresses put together with two separate duvets that are a bit small. It would be great to have access to the balcony because it has the best view of the ocean. I understand it is locked because it leads to the main house, but it can easily be blocked off. Other than that, the stay was absolutely great.
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Natali (10/5): Our stay was amazing and we would highly recommend it. - Everything. Location, decor, cleanliness. Everything was perfect. Lara is a very helpful and friendly host. Nothing.
