Room was very comfortable. Dryer wasn’t great but still managed to load of washing.

- Miranda (9/5): Friendly and Convenient - Location was great. They provided transportation to the ski resort, but it was also just a short walk. We took the bus from Iiyama to arrive and it was very easy. Breakfast was great and the staff was so so nice. The location had really thin walls so I was worried about waking other guests.
- Denisse (10/5): You'll feel right at home with their staff! - One of the best experiences during the whole trip. Mick (the owner) and his family and hired staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. They drove us around the town helped us rent ski equipment at a discount and recommended lots of incredible restaurants. We even had the chance to get dinner together at a nearby onsen (tattoo friendly!). It all felt like we were part of a huge, international family. Our stay also fell right at my birthday and they went out of their way to celebrate it. We were also the only guests since we arrive before the busy season started, so they treated us even extra special. We were even able to get snowboarding and skiing lessons from the family at a very cheap price! I have absolutely no complaints about this place. Everything was perfect. Really. Everything was just perfect, but this thing is making my write until I put enough characters in. So there.

- Shabtail (10/5): Un endroit incontournable pour tout voyageur voulant passer quelques jours à Madararo, à recommander les yeux fermés. - La gentillesse et la bienveillance des hôtes, toujours disponibles et plein de bons conseils (mention spéciale à Johannes et Deborah), afin d’organiser notre voyage au mieux et profiter de la station comme si nous la connaissions déjà. La qualité du logement, de la nourriture mise à disposition et de tous les équipements comme à la maison. La proximité des pistes. Le Onsen très qualitatif. Le calme et le confort optimaux pour tout voyageur désireux d’un repos mérité. Rien, tout était splendide.

- David (8/5): Would return. - Hosts Brooke and Jumpei as well as their staff were great. Booked restaurants for us and transported us to them if required. Drop off and pick up from ski lifts each day. Comfortable communal lounge and dining rooms. Sound travelled very easily from the staff quarters above our room but it did stop at a reasonable hour. The breakfasts, although sufficient, were not as good as other places we have stayed at in Japan.

All delivered with a smile. First tracks met our expectations, the hosts were lovely, very helpful with local knowledge, assisting with reservations, ensuring we arrived at places on time. If only we had know prior, we would have booked dinner there

Staff were awesome and very accommodating offering dinners that were delicious (extra cost and need reservations). Walking distance from main ski lodge and surrounding restaurants. Also right next to a bus stop which is handy going up and down the mountain.

- Larissa (10/5): Wonderful trip with the best snow we have ever seen. - The location, comfort and hosts were incredible. The hosts went above and beyond to help us and our family, especially after one of our children became unwell. We truly were blown away by their kindness and generosity. The location is right near the lift and was walking distance to everywhere we needed. Would highly recommend and we look forward to going back.

We were lucky to arrive just before a huge snowfall, so when we woke up on our first morning, the snow was piled up and ready for playing. Everyone was very accommodating of our needs and helpful with finding snow gear for our kids. The food was wonderful and we had a really leisurely relaxing couple of days in the snow. The bed was a little more firm than I would have liked, but that's a personal preference thing.

Run down, uncomfortable, breakfast was meager ( just granola with milk and an orange or banana) it ended up being very expensive for the quality of the place.

Always proposing to help, giving good tips and tricks, bringing us to the slopes.. they made our stay exceptional. Nice common room with fun games, tv, books... It's a nice warming place to have a good tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Location was convenient, only few minutes walk from bar, restaurant, Onsen and the slopes.
- JIE (10/5): - The FTM is very warm, and this kind of forest cabin is the dream of people from southern China for the snowy winter season. The hotel is right next to the ski slopes and even within walking distance.There are good restaurants right next to the hotel which is very convenient. Nick and Karina is from Australia. They are very friendly and nice. My family had great help with transportation to Nozawa Onsen and to the Shinkansen station from Nick & Karina. Three nights of stay is a wonderful experience.

The location is easy to walk to restaurants or the ski slope. It was comfortable and had several common rooms to relax, watch movies, and games. It felt homey.

Very Overpriced property, considering it was further away from the Ski resort than most of the other properties. Room was very small with no space for your belongings, basically tripped over each other trying to get in and out. Hot water shower worked sometimes. Room only had underfloor heating, which was either too hot or not hot enough, very hard to get it adjusted, had to ask the staff which were hard to be found, mostly out skiing. Extremely noisy , could hear every conversation word for word the people in the room next door were having , really annoying when you want to relax and get some sleep.

The hosts are incredibly helpful and accommodating. It was lovely connecting with others over breakfast and having warm comfortable accommodation to come home to after a cold day in the snow. Nothing. It was great.

The apartment is located awa - The property was spacious, comfortable with access to everything we needed as a family with 3 young children. Access to the onsen was an added bonus! The view of the mountain was also amazing!! The apartment was in an excellent location for skiers/snowboarders as you are able to ski in/out. However with young children, the only way to get up to the main area was to walk on the road which could be a bit hairy at times.
