Guest Reviews
- Michal (10/5): We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Communication was excellent, and the delic - Everything was great.
- Katie (1/5): - Spa bath was not at all as advertised didn't work and bath took forever to run and was cold water. Was really looking forward to this was one of the main reasons I booked here.
No lock on bedroom which is a safety and security issue.
Pin on door isn't the safest and door doesn't lock straight away meaning anyone could just walk in including the gate to property as anyone can just push open and walk in.
Very loud outside unable to sleep and loud in the property gone midnight couldn't sleep.
No one around to help or speak to at check in or check out.
- jean (8/5): Really enjoyed my stay , convenient for where i wanted to be . and very quiet . - Just a short walk for breakfast on the High street .

- Abraham (10/5): Our stay was excellent. We told friends we at the wedding event. Communication received from Claire was excellent especi - Very clean and neat. Excellent washroom. Not really, however, would suggest the sensitivity of the security lighting system be increased a little bit. In addition, I think some lighting is required from the were messed gate to the lodge.
- Petra (8/5): Quiet and comfortable room. Great for a one night stay. - Quiet and comfortable. It was within walking distance to the main town. No car parking. However, I could park very close by in the car park across the road.
- Simon (8/5): Modern, central location - The location is very central. Nicely presented. The bedroom had a TV which also had Netflix which was a bonus!! Kettle with tea, coffee and milk. Very friendly host with easy communication. They were very knowledgeable about the local area too. Not an issue for us, but the car park outside is a pay car park between 8am and 6pm. Free on Sundays. We arrived late on Saturday night and left on Sunday so didn't affect us.
Overall, very happy to have stayed here π

- Spompeytransportvideo (9/5): Very pleasant and good value. - The location was fine for where I needed to go on this occasion. The Landlady was very pleasant and the place is very secure. Car parking is free opposite, from 6.00 PM until 10.00 AM. Public transport is plentiful. The room was clean and quiet and on the whole was a pleasant short stay...Many thanks Not really anything....
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Rob (7/5): Good - Nice and quiet. Maybe a comfortable chair might help. I found the bed not great, i prefer a harder mattress.
- Wendy (8/5): Great value for nice facilities - Very competitively priced for a nice stay in peaceful surroundings. Very good prior instructions before arriving gave a lot of confidence. Host met us upon arrival with all we needed to know. Room clean and comfortable with very thoughtful additional extras like a hot water bottle provided and a drawer of tuck goodies as well as expected tea and coffee. Small table and chair provided if required. Privacy afforded was prioritised so we did not bump into anyone else during our stay with separate private bathroom to use. Bedroom was a compact size which always makes movement around the room restricted. On one evening heating in the room wasn't enough, radiator was off for an hour or two. Parking not freely accessible without payment for all hours of the day.

Saw one of the owners once the whole time I was there and he was friendly. Good quiet location considering it's right near the town centre. I had a very late night on a night tour of Lord Byronβs house and the owners were very understanding of my hours. Very quick to walk to the nearest restaurants. Brilliant value for money, suited me perfectly, as did the accommodation. Highly recommend. Also v nice bathroom and there's snacks available to buy in your room.
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Amana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicky (10/5): Great value, lovely stay - The bathroom is brilliant; lovely bed and mattress! It was really hot when I visited so the fan was brilliant Nothing
- Mike (10/5): Excellent host, property and location - Claire is a great host. The property is ideally suited for travel to Nottingham and Mansfield. It has great transport links - bus tram and train.
- Raminder (10/5): Ideal stay for a business trip. - I stayed for a business trip, the two hour a day free parking around the corner is convenient. The property is very well decorated and a lovely homely feel. Bathroom was very large, easy to use shower. Tuck shop was greatly appreciated! Claire and her partner were very accommodating and approachable if I needed anything. Bed was large and comfortable. I loved the extra cushions for that comfy feel. I would happily stay here again.
