• Emilie (6/5): - L emplacement et la vue, la maison en elle même son architecture. L odeur de renfermé, la saleté dans la maison. Les sols les canapés, la cuisine, c était sale. Seuls les lits étaient propres et la salle d eau.
• JUNFENG (5/5): Not good - Good location The kitchenware was filthy and clearly not properly cleaned. Basic facilities were missing, and everything that was available felt old and poorly maintained. The entire place gave the impression that it had been looted rather than prepared for guests. Very disappointing and absolutely not worth the money.

• O' Toole (10/5): Super Flat White! - A beautiful comfortable property! Stunning scenery and facilities. Perfect for a family and we had just the 2 of us! Nothing really.

But woke to a picture perfect scene, clear blue sky with snow peaked mountains right around. The house was placed on the site perfectly. Loved watching the bunnies 🐰 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Nothing.

• jill (10/5): Lovely place to stay and well appointed. - Great view,well equipped full kitchen and good living spaces ..great for a family or group of friends .. heat pump effective and was put on prior to our arrival to warm the living area which was lovely. Fabulous wood burner in the lounge with ample firewood and kindling. Winter duvets on the beds or electric blankets would be good in the future… athough there were some spare blankets at top of the wardrobe which was good. We stayed mid winter arriving in the evening so although the lounge/ living warmed really well ..the bedrooms were pretty cold.

• Junge (10/5): Nice - Perfect spot There is a poor sound insulation of the toilet. The rest is fantastic. Very warm and very clean.
• Lee (7/5): Good - Washing machine is in garage, cold and dirty. Pile of dirty/clean linen next to it? We could not use the washing machine for the entire stay wihout having to worry about hygine. One of the toilet has some old stain on it, was really gross. Host should also check gas operation prior to guests arrival. We had issues with hot water supply. Actual view is dfeerent from photo, photo should be updated from booking.com.
• Jamie (5/5): Pretty house, but lacking in every way. - The place was quite beat up, marks all over the walls and burns in the counter tops. Not as high end as it appears online. There were dirty linens in the garage sink that smelled.

The house is very hot even the air conditioner is on. No air conditioner in the rooms, we couldn’t sleep well as it’s hot.

• Dhruvin (3/5): Poor - No ACs or heaters in any bedroom. Heat blankets not available for all beds, only in some. Living and dining area was burning hot on a hot day and the only available AC in the entire property wasnt effective enough to cool the area even by a degree lower. It was an uncomfortable 3 hot hours from 4pm to 7pm. Only 1 bathroom in such a big property with dual doors to it and no locks to either of the doors which is ridiculous. Property is dated and unlike the photos. Only saving grace was the view. However definitely not worth the price they're charging per night. Read some old reviews on this property now while it was too late though and found same issues pointed out since past 2 years by multiple people and still the same issues persist which means the hosts arent bothered about these reviews and dont care about customer service and concerns. Hence, Families with kids and/or parents please pass over this property and look for other properties nearby. Many more and better properties available in Lake Tekapo at the same or better rates.

Loads of space, comfy beds, great location with an amazing view. Owners are so lucky to have this property it’s just stunning! Couldn’t recommend more it was definitely worth the money.

• Leigh (7/5): It was ok - Lovely spacious kitchen, it was so warm with the sun streaming through. The bathroom, there was no locks on either so we had to let everyone know who was in the bathroom. It definitely needs a refresh - new paint. There were so many marks everywhere. Definitely need to update the pictures as there is no longer a lake view :)

Was easy to get into the accommodation - The view was amazing Didn’t have enough towels, the home looked a bit rundown with scuff marks on the walls and there was a bird stuck in the fireplace that we had to hear it scratching the entire stay

• Mark (8/5): Very good - Fantastic home. Lots of space, great amenities and big kitchen. Has everything you need for a stay. 2 issues: Not able to walk from town. Staff refill "brand label" hand wash, shampoos etc with cheap / crappy products. The shampoo bottle was labelled as not having certain ingredients , but had been refilled by something else causing a reaction ( it same product as hand wash, body wash and shampoo). Disappointing
• Julie (9/5): Best shower! - The views are spectacular in this glass house. A home away from home. It has the best shower that I have ever had in my life! Despite all the glass, the house is incredibly well insulated that no heating was required. More towel rails/hooks in the bathroom.

• Annaka (7/5): Good - Beautiful place to stay. The fire was in a great spot. Lovely view of the mountains. Easy to find. Will stay there again. Mircowave was to low. And the single beds where my children (4&3 years old) slept weren't made. The beds had a mattress protector and a duvet on it. Plus it states you get a queen bed but ended up being a double.

• Happy (7/5): It was okay. A little pricey. - The outdoor seating area was beautiful with views of lots bunnies. Love the street lamps in the area, they looked like lanterns! Interestingly, they also turn off after 9 or 10pm so you get a clear view of the milky way at night. The bathroom situation was no good. You can access the bathroom from a bedroom and a walkway in the common area but there's no way to lock either of the doors from inside the bathroom. So every time someone goes in the bathroom, we had to make sure everyone in the house knew that someone is in the bathroom to prevent an embarrassing situation. Luckily we only stayed for one night so it wasn't too stressful.

• Jacques (2/5): Poor place to stay , not as per photos , not maintained - The facility is not being looked after , walls and floors are dirty and damaged , furnished with the cheapest furniture that could be found. The photos are also misleading as there is construction right in front of you and your lake view is taken up with another house right in front of it , the website photos does not reflect this. Dishwasher was also left and not cleaned up

• Ceara (8/5): Lovely spot in Tekapo but bear in mind the advertising photos are old - Gorgeous property in a great location and we enjoyed our stay! Lovely decking area, gets the sun all day long! The property is great and well equipped but is in need of a good deep clean and refresh, bathrooms are fine but all other rooms look a bit worn, cobwebs etc in every room, rips in sofas, paintwork chipped and marks on walls.

• Barry (6/5): House is so lovely from outside but inside such a disappointment. Tekapo is great though. - The house itself on the outside and the views were stunning. The house was grubby, heatpump didn't work, cleaners were to contact manager but we never heard. Middle bedroom was quite musty smelling. We would not have used the cooktop as it smelt. Drawer liners were horrible, need replaced.

• Shona (8/5): Really nice location for the views! - The views are amazing from the property! Easy access with of street parking, comfortable beds, good layout & nice to have a fire place to use. The walls etc were so marked & could do with a good tidy up, I have never seen so many marks & dents on walls before 😬 the house inside could do with a good clean. ( light shades etc )

• Dorisandboris (2/5): Based on the smell alone - I would not stay there again. - The Property itself was fine. Plenty of room, location good and mountains views spectacular. Renovated bathroom and kitchen were lovely. There was a strong smell immediately on entering the property. The smell was overwhelming and felt quite toxic. I believe may have been from a surface insect spray. The fire place wasnt cleaned out and there was an old cushion insert, half deteriorated in the top of the main bedroom wardrobe. I found this when looking for a blanket... and seeing this old thing, didn't dare consider using any blankets stored near it. The place could do with a paint and there were burnt carpet marks near the fireplace.

• Nicole (7/5): Pictures can be deceiving - Was close to everything, beautiful views, loved the shower The 2 single beds had what looked like urine stains on the mattress cover and electric blanket, the single beds weren’t even made up! We had the heat pump on all night (28’) and we wer FREEZING 🥶 no extra duvets to put on the bed. Also had the electric blankets and still we were cold!! Maybe i should have lit the fire 🔥 the house while it looks beautiful in the photos there are alot of imperfections, scuff marks all up the walls, bench top chipping, very unkept.

• Sarah (2/5): Highly disappointed - Worst accommodation at the end of an amazing Southern Road trip :( - Not much! The view - although I found it hard to relax and enjoy it - in this 'accommodation'. Although the host (Booking.com) was helpful when we couldn't get the TV working - answered phone and resolved the issue. I mentioned the state of the property and he mentioned COVID... really..... this place shouldn't be rented if the owners aren't prepared to fund a re-paint etc etc. I don't even want to think about the price of one night. We were very disappointed as soon as we opened the front door. I have never seen walls of a home in such bad condition - absolutely covered in marks - it has obviously been a 'party house' for a long time. The kitchen counter top is covered in scratches, door hinges are loose in the pantry, the chair legs at the main table are wobbly and every wall and door way is marked. Couch and carpets dirty and floors felt tacky. One wine glass in the pantry - that says it all!! Everything felt dirty from just looking at it, due to the condition of the interior. Firewood was far too large for starting the fire - hence this took a while. Not allowed to park in the Garage, but then the car was probably happier outside!
