Guest Reviews
- Amira (3/5): - No Clean and noice
- Kyoung jin (10/5): - Best food it's bit noised
- Tanja (9/5): - If you’re looking for a truly authentic experience and a genuine connection with a Balinese family, this is the perfect place to stay. The owner is incredibly warm, sincere, and fun — you definitely won’t be bored!
The room comes with a fridge, which is very convenient, and the air conditioning works well. The downside is the noise from the road, as you can hear cars from the room. I used earplugs during my entire 10-day stay and was able to sleep until 9 a.m. Without them, it would have been quite difficult, I must admit.
Overall, I definitely recommend it!
- Marco (10/5): - when i visit Ubud again i would certainly choose this room. very nice room and people.
- Mikey (10/5): - Wonderful, friendly family. Very clean, spacious room. New bathroom. WiFi in room #4 is very slow
- Tiffany (7/5): - Very close to Yoga Barn. Spent my first nights there and for that is was perfect. Lovely family :)
- Luana (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely lovely stay here, rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Great location too.
- Lestari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jakob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denica (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place with a very welcoming and gentle people
- Danh (8/5): In general, good value for money, we live in the local settings. If more generous in budget, you can find some places in - The owners are friendly, hospitable and willing to share any interesting places (e.g eating, shopping etc.) nearby. We also got some snacks and fruits, which were the traditional ones, so we know to buy/bring home as gifts. The sound-proof is rather bad. My room (no. 2) has the sewage problem, the toilet smell cannot escape.
- Rajendra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dena (10/5): lovely place lovely people - everything is nice 😃 nothing. very happy customer 🙏
- Dhea (10/5): SPECTACULAR! - all!
very clean, affordable price, friendly owner and people. they also have kitchen and there’s fridge inside!
when i came they welcomed with cute decorated board, so lovely.
the only thing i didn’t find was closets/cupboards to put my clothes, but that’s okay, the spacious room makes us able to put the clothes around without making us feel less comfortable.
- David (8/5): Very good - Friendly owner, let me deposit my bags before check in. Big, spacious room with a nice private balcony and fridge. The bathroom even has a shower curtain which mostly keeps the water off the rest of the bathroom. The traffic noise as others have mentioned, but this usually quiets down in the evening and they do provide earplugs. Stains on the sheets/towel, though this is sadly usual in Bali. Cleanliness in the common area was also a bit spotty.
- Alissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (10/5): Cozy, comfortable, and meaningful. - Excellent location, well equipped, nice atmosphere, and host was very friendly and attentive. The bathroom had an issue with the shower drainage.
- Greg (10/5): Wonderful place, superb value - The nicest hosts you'll ever stay with, spotless room, good AC, perfectly located for me — favourite place to stay in Ubud! Nothing
- Alli (8/5): Very good - The family was lovely and helpful. They gave fresh fruits and drinking water. The room was really noisy as it faced a busy street.
- Oliver (7/5): Surprisingly satisfactory. - Location close to Yoga Barn was great but noise level from the busy intersection was intense. Super clean, comfy bed and great owners. It’s next to the best place to purchase an authentic Balinese sarong for men which is hard to come by. Noise level from street
- Monique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Bo (10/5): Perfect place!!! - Very nice place. Clean and super friendly atmosphere. Best Wi-Fi we tried on Bali.
I can really recommend this homestay
- Navjeet (10/5): A wonderful home stay with a kind & welcoming family. 3 minute walk to the yoga barn & close to central Ubud. Pe - Comfortable, clean, friendly, fantastic WiFi & incredibly welcoming. I liked everything.
- Marko (8/5): Very good -
- Anonym (10/5): Thank you everything was fantastic 🌻🧘♀️ - I feel so so much love from this family like nowhere in whole Bali. I was a bit sad that I couldn’t talk more with the grandma cause of our language barrier but you will feel without much words strongly how lovely and wise she is! I feel myself welcome and comfy and When I will be someday in Ubud I will try my best to stay here again. About the homestay itself, you live in the old Bali architecture. The room is very comfortably furnished, clean and with its own refrigerator. They use real duvet cover here, which is not always the case in Bali. You can hear cars but I found it not loud and noisy and slept very good here without earplugs that the Yastra family provides. Also snacks, water and there is a guitar in the yard that you can definitely use :) Thanks for everything! Hmm maybe a detergent for the toilet haha, but that's nowhere in homestays! I am sure would I had expressed this very special wish they would give me some
- Louise (10/5): Will definitely stay here next time. - It was like staying with family. I felt very secured and they were very helpful. Nothing! Noise from the street but the owner does advise us. Part of the experience. I sleep with earplugs and it was ok.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caitlin (5/5): Everything within the hosts control was fantastic, just the noise that let it down - Everything about the property and hosts was amazing The only downside and the reason I checked out early was due to traffic noise. The room I was in was right next to a main road with a very flimsy door so you could here everything and I just couldn’t sleep!
- Mamdouh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Randy (10/5): Absolutely lovely family and home! Thank you! - Location. Authentic Balinese home. The kindness of the family. I felt like visiting family. And thanks for letting me play your guitar 😁 The road is a bit noisy, yet authentic. The free earplugs were great and sleeping was no problem.
- Camp (10/5): Highly recommend yastra yana for those who really would like to experience a balinese homestay. - the room was perfect for a solo or couple travelling, the family welcome you into their home and you become part of the family. no request is too small or too large. tea coffee and morning breakfast or fruit and sweets were available always provding more when needed. ideal location walking distance to ubud town. loved this home as a place to stay and the family
- Marija (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (9/5): Superb - Amazing welcoming family A bit noisey
- Pow (8/5): Beautiful family. Convenient location - Beautiful family who go above and beyond. Convenient location. 3 minutes to cafes, restaurants and Yoga Barn. Noise from the street. They provide earplugs but best bring good quality ones.
- Laura (10/5): Fab and a beautiful rare experience - Beautiful family home. Made me so welcome single solo female traveller. Newly refurbished rooms The value is brilliant The place is converted from their family temple so the soundproofing isn’t great. If you are a light sleeper reconsider or use the ear plugs provided. The main road is quite load
- Nicole (10/5): Affordable clean and very hospitable staff - I live staying here, it was modern, clean and really affordable. I rebooked in a couple of times. The staff were so friendly and kind and I would highly recommend this spot. It is well located very close to the famous YogaBaan, with many restaurants, coffee spots. This is not really a problem but the property was on a Main Street. But it quietened down between 10pm and 6am. Then manager personally came to my and kindly gave me earplugs for sleeping (which I didn’t even ask for) which I was really impressed with. Also just a note, you will hear the people in the room next door very clearly, and they will hear you.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house and beautiful accommodation. I really can recommend this place! It's super clean. Really nice homestay.
- Samantha (9/5): Superb - Modern, clean, comfortable room in a beautiful traditional family house. 3 mins walk to yoga barn and close by to nice restaurants. Good shower/wet room. Fridge in the room very useful. Free water and coffee making facilities. Small Kitchenette availability (although I didnt know about this until the last day lol). Family are very nice, they even left out fruit for us to enjoy. Very nice accommodation in good central location. Would stay again! It is in central ubud, on a main road so expect road noise! The curtains are thin, so if not woken up by the sound of a motor bike passing by, then the sun will do it! Just bring earplugs and eye mask and it's all good
