Guest Reviews
- Dario (9/5): Superb -
- Nadeau (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anna (10/5): Great place, amazing price, hot shower, friendly staff - Great hotel after finishing Salkentay trek and Machu Picchu. Easy to find. Very hot shower, clean bed, comfortable blankets. Friendly staff. Enjoyable breakfast (fruit, bread, jam, coffee). Beautiful view upon opening the curtains in the morning. Very good price for the hotel. Room was not as dark as wanted- but I was so tired, it did not matter.
- Elizaveta (8/5): Very good - Bed, view, wifi. Overall, one of the best hotels during our Inca trip The breakfast was very poor — just one bread roll (no jam or butter), tea (no coffee), and some fruit.
At one point, there was no hot water in the shower, but it eventually came back.
- Nicolas (8/5): Very good -
- Jay (9/5): Superb - Was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for months. Clean room and great location. Was a great option for 3 nights in Ollantaytambo Can’t think of anything
- Brian (9/5): A nice night in Ollantaytambo! - Bed was cozy, cats were super cute and the owner was kind! Breakfast was good!
- George (7/5): Good value - Very central location, next to the main square. There is a nice terrace with a 360 view of the surrounding mountains. Comfy beds, good value for money. The room had no window.
- Matan (8/5): Very good -
- Alfie (10/5): Exceptional - Great value, welcoming hosts, perfect location, nice rooms and bonus to have a terrace to chill out on. Minor issue was that we couldn’t get the hot water to work in the shower, but that’s a pretty regular problem.
- Vojtěch (9/5): Very decent to save some money - It's a nice budget accommodation with a nice rooftop The breakfast is very underwhelming
- Ann (9/5): Great location, comfortable, clean - Location was perfect, right next to the square which was great during the festival. Bed was so comfy with a lovely thick feather duvet. Breakfast great - smoothie, fruit salad, bread and sometimes eggs Wifi didn’t reach (room 305)
- Ann (10/5): Great clean hostel with perfect location - Location, breakfast, staff were great Nada
- Anna (7/5): One of the best places we stayed in Peru - Sadly we only stayed one night, but we wished to stay longer. The room was clean, with the views into the mountains. We were leaving early morning but the lady still ran and made us a sandwich because it was to early for breakfast. They let us leave out backpacks in the storage over multiple days, which we were very grateful for. We can´t recommend highly enough.
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, friendly staff
- Wang (10/5): Great value for money - Good Wi-Fi, hostal is in the heart of the city, hot shower, super comfortable bed 😍, good breakfast (fruits, juice, bread, tea), panoramic view in roof, nice staff Nothing
- Mingke (9/5): Superb - Great location and hospitality of the host! We just needed to stay one night before taking the train to Machu Picchu. This hostel really offered what we just needed. There’s a market nearby and the food is good at a cheap price (much much cheaper than in Cusco). There are also pharmacies and convenience stores close by. We left early in the morning for the train, and they also packed us some breakfast.
- Maira (8/5): Very good place - Great location, very clean and comfortable Nothing
- Anna (10/5): Nicw stay - Great place to stay with very big and comfortable room. We arrived quite late and there was no problem with the check in . Staff were really nice and helpful with everything we requested. We also got amazing tips on what to visit. The breakfast was ok . You only have to pay additionally for scramble eggs. Everything was great
- Natalie (9/5): Female solo traveller - A great little hotel/hostel close to everything. - It was my first time staying in a 'hostel' & I definitely wouldn't class my room (or hotel) as a hostel.
It is a great place in the centre of the main square, convenient for everything.
The room was clean & comfortable.
The receptionist was helpful (even with the language barrier, she used Google translate to help, thanks).
Breakfast was nice with a good selection.
A great stay, cheap & very cheerful, I would stay here again.
- Vaneet (9/5): Great hotel run by great people. - The room was very spacious, there was hot water, the bed was fantastic and warm, breakfast was great, the rooftop terrace offers amazing views and the staff, the family, are absolutely incredible.
We had a problem with our tickets for Machu Picchu and from the minute we told them they were very helpful - they started to contact various people and places to try and help us resolve our problem. Just amazing people.
Also, my wife was unwell and they helped looked after her at 1 am by making her a camomile tea.
Beyda, and family thanks once again for all your help you made us feel welcome and at home. Nothing.
- Penelope (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodriguez (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent lugar muy limpio y muy amables todos excelente place to stay wonderful people all very helpful and the place was clean and beautiful
- Banovac (10/5): Exceptional - Location good, view of the Inka ruins, breakfast to go early in the morning because we left early ghe next day, beds comfy Nothing
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (10/5): Booked last minute with family when reserved hotel had no water on arrival. Staff helped us get clothes washed late at - Close to center of town, very reasonable price, exceptional staff.
- Ali (7/5): Alright stay - Okay for an overnight stay close to town. We were really looking forward to having a movie night before doing machu picchu and pur tv wasnt working so we asked for someone to come look and fix it, we were told this was impossible. The hotel was quiet so we asked to change rooms and she said it wasnt possible either. The room was very basic and pillows were very thin.
- Josie (9/5): Great place to stay in Ollantaytambo - Friendly staff, bed was comfy, room was clean, breakfast was good, shower was good. We left our bag for two days before returning from Macchu Picchu for one more night. Location is good - close to the main square. Room was quiet at night. Wifi was sometimes a bit slow
- Vladimir (8/5): Very good - Comfortable stay, good breakfast. The rooms are on the smaller side. The hotel is very close to the cntral plaza, which is generally a good thing, but during our stay there were festivities and it was rather loud.
- Miroslav (8/5): Would recommend - Big room with a TV, one of the best breakfasts we had on our trip through Peru. Basically on the main square, amazing location. Possibility to print stuff for a small fee - really helpful if you forget to print your Machu Picchu tickets like us. Also they stored our backpacks before check-in, which allowed us to visit the ruins before the tourist crowds arrive. The WiFi is really bad and movies on the TV don't load or you can't open any new pages in the browser of your phone. Additionally, the floor in the bathroom is somehow "leaking", meaning that water comes out of in between the tiles. If you don't have any slippers, you'll get your socks wet everytime you go there.
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - Very clean room and facilities. Room had a nice view and some furniture like table, rack for clothes etc. Breakfast was tasty, but very little, so do not expect to leave with a full stomach in the morning.
- Tsung (7/5): Good -
- Ana (8/5): Very good -
- Lena (8/5): Very good -
- Finleigh (10/5): Great little hotel with private room - Staff were lovely, very helpful and helped us store luggage when we left for the evening. Nice breakfast also. Very central Nothing 😊
- Claire (5/5): Passable - Cheap Smelt weird and when we left our bags in the storage room it took them 40 minutes to come and open the door for us to collect them. Private bathrooms were dusty and there was always either only a tiny bit of toilet roll or none at all in the shared bathroom. Showers were also not good.
- Pavla (7/5): Good - We stayed only overnight and it was alright.
- Victoria (9/5): Lovely Family Hotel - The staff are really friendly and helpful. We came back with wet clothes and they let us hang it in their terrace. The location is perfect, very near to the main square. The view from the room was also brilliant. The showers were very hot but in the mornings (just in the morning) lacked of pressure. As I said before, we had no problems with the showers but one morning they lacked pressure, but it was still hot!
There are lots of stairs to go to some rooms. And the breakfast is included (great for the price!) but bear in mind it's very simple.
- Maud (9/5): Amazing stay in Ollantaytambo - Spacious, clean rooms with a very nice hot shower. Also very close to the plaza central, with a great view of the Ollantaytambo sanctuary. Amazing stay!
- Bonifacio (9/5): Superb - I liked the clean Polo and how comfortable it is and the treatment with people Que le falta algunas cosas.
- Skaidrė (10/5): Nice - Very good location, the central square is very close. The hostal is situated at the main street, so it was easy to get taxi. Beautiful view from the terrace.
- Kat (9/5): Superb -
- Kat (9/5): Superb - Great location, very clean, friendly staff, working wifi.
- Rein (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - Location was amazing! Right around the corner from the central plaza. The rooftop gives a beautiful view of the Incan ruins and mountains. Our room and bathroom were big with a TV (Netflix & YouTube). The bed was very comfortable and the hostel extremally clean. There was an issue with the cost of our washing but communication was easy and fast with the staff so it was resolved no problem! No kitchen but close to restaurants.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - Staff friendly and let us leave our bags whilst we did the Inca Trail. Room clean and had what we needed, good value for money. It was warm when we were there but plenty of blankets provided if you go when it's cold. Great location, just off the main square.
- Agustinr (9/5): Great value, location and helpful staff - Great place to stay, the location is perfect right in one of the main streets, the staff is friendly and really helpful, one of the guys in the reception was really kind in pointing us directions and recommendations, where to go, local restos, stores :D -
- Svetlinak (9/5): Superb - Very good location.
- Chase (6/5): Everything else besides the noise was good. - Good price. Helpful staff. Cool rooftop view of ruins The property is very loud and everything echos through rooms. We were on the middle floor and could hear everything above us and unfortunately the group was leaving around 4 am. Did not get a good nights sleep. If staying I would recommend the 3rd floor. We had a bad experience.
- Lori (5/5): Passable -
- Sam (6/5): Lovely staff, decent value but ultimately disappointing as not the hostel we where expecting and booking sites should be - Location by the center of town and roof terrace are great. Hostel had changed location so photos didn’t match. Very basic facilities in new location. Essentially just a very simple room with little else to offer.
- Elena (10/5): Hot water in the shower and warm rooms!!! - Hot shower in the shower is available!!!! This is a great advantage for any hostel in Peru. The water is really-really hot!!!
Warm in the room!!! This is another great advantage for hostel in Peru. In the night it drops to 10C (50F) but still it is warm in the room. You don't have to sleep in socks like everywhere in Peru.
The hostel is very new, they changed location in June 2023 and since it's new, everything is extremely clean and new. All furniture and facilities.
Staff is very friendly even though they didn't speak any English.
Great location, right near the main square.
Huge value for low money!!! since the hostel is very new, they didn't put yet the shower curtain. This is a very minor thing though.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly host family and nice breakfast!
- Siani-davies (10/5): Great stay - Wonderful location right in the heart of the town, steps away from the main archeological sites. The hosts were very kind and even gave us an umbrella so we could do some exploring in the rain. The bed we slept in was honestly the largest bed we had ever seen and it did not disappoint after two great nights of sleep. Our host also recommended a wonderful restaurant and we had a great stay overall.
- Anna (8/5): Very good - good location
hot shower breakfast was very little, but okay for the price
- Negar (9/5): Superb - extremely kind and helpful staff
cozy
- Jose (8/5): Very good -
- Katerina (9/5): Superb - Thanks to super friendly and flexible staff we had a great time in wonderful Ollantaytambo. The accommodation is close to Inka ruins. Its nice, clean and cheap - garden is a great bonus.
- Odgers (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (8/5): Very good - Really comfortable room and good size
Close to the ruins and excellent location
Good value for money More of a hostel than hotel
Not alot of space to relax outside room
- Tino (9/5): Quiet nice room - Quiet. A few minutes to the plaza. Clean spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Had the opportunity to store my luggage during my stay in Aguas Calientes. Shower was running whenever neighbour was taking a shower.
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -
- Gabriel (7/5): Good -
- Fern (7/5): Good -
- Guillermo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alberto (8/5): Very good - Very good position, place and room were very very nice. Wifi does not work really well, but i had this problem quite often in Perù.
- Arunbir (8/5): Very good -
- Bartosz (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was packed as a lunchbox so we could go out 5 am
- Nikola (5/5): Passable - Personal and location That you could lisen everything from next rooms. It was little bit difficult to sleep when another people were talking.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb - the owner/guy from reception explained how to use hot water and it worked perfectly
cleanliness
- Santiago (9/5): Superb - The place is clean and the location is good
- Patricia (4/5): Disappointing -
