Nice touches - screen welcoming us with forecast and a farewell message. Unexpected was free use of the EV charger which was very appreciated. Comfy beds. There were no negatives to this property.
• Leo (10/5): Highly recommended — we would definitely book this place again if we have the chance. - The room was very comfortable, and there was even a garage converted into a games room, which my son absolutely loved. The host had thoughtfully decorated the place and even set the access code using the last four digits of my phone number, making it easy for us to remember. The space was quite spacious, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to the main shopping street, yet the surroundings are very quiet. The facilities are relatively new, and each bedroom has its own heating, which kept us warm during the slightly chilly autumn weather. There’s really nothing to complain about. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that you may need to park your car in the driveway outside rather than in a garage. However, we feel that the converted games room is actually more appealing to guests than having a garage.

Helpful messages from owners. Games room was particularly enjoyed by 17 year old in our group but also by the 70 year olds. Nice outdoor seating area too.

• Hollie (10/5): The most beautiful cottage in Hanmer! - We were travelling with 3 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby and the house was beyond perfect. Immaculately presented on the inside, and the garden and outdoor area was so beautifully maintained. The house has absolutely everything you need. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, stovetop, coffee machine. Cupboards full of everything you could need for a lengthy stay. Beautiful bathroom amenities too (even down to yummy smelling diffusers and room sprays). This holiday home is faultless! Will recommend to others and definitely stay again!

Very grateful to have spent 3 nights here and have already booked to come back later this year. Nothing at all - incredible place to stay!

• Louise (10/5): Perfection in Hanmer - Fantastic place to stay. Close to the pools, shops and restaurants. Extremely tidy place, inside and out. Really comfortable beds and plenty of space in all rooms. A framed personalized welcome message on the kitchen counter was a really nice touch too. The games room was an added bonus, especially the retro arcade games. Our stay was a last minute decision on our way back from Christchurch to Nelson. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the place for longer, but we'll surely be back. We could only stay for one night.

Shame we couldn’t stay longer and in the winter to use - Pretty cottage, everything we needed for a family stay with teenage boys. Clean and comfortable and spacious. Kitchen had all the amenities you needed. The kids loved the games room. Very easy to keep clean and tidy.

The bathroom was spacious as was all the bedrooms. Wonderfully located within walking distance to forest walks, the pools and restaurants. We had our granddaughter with us and the house was well suited for her needs- 5 months old. The cottage did not have a barbeque/braai/grill.

We all especially loved the games room, think my husband spent most of his time trying to get the high score on pac man! The couch in the living room probably needs updating.

The hosts were amazing and the instructions were easy to follow. Thankyou for making our stay at Hanmer comfortable and fun. We would highly recommend the property to family and friends and would love to stay again. Unfortunately there was a total power outage for all of Hanmer on the morning we were checking out. We were advised that the power was out for most of the day. The host did arrive at the address and was kind enough to keep us informed. She apologised about the outage and was understanding that we were unable to give the property a clean before we left, (not that it was needed).

• Julie (5/5): Stunning property but would not return - Property is amazing, clean comfortable and has everything you need. The games room was fantastic for us with a teenager in tow. On our last night we experienced the most horrendous high winds which kept us all awake most of the night. We all slept in longer than intended and left the property 10mins late. Big mistake we were all verbally abused by an angry cleaner who just barged into the property while we were still there. After having such an amazing weekend at the property this left us flabbergasted at the rudeness we received. An end of year treat for our teenager turned to tears as she hates confrontation.

Next time we go we would like to stay for longer to make better use of the house and the activities on offer! The key code system for the front door was easy to use and suited us as we had a few people using the property and coming and going on their own. Parking is a little cramped.

Great fully equipped kitchen and the beds were great Walking distance to town and the springs. It was all great, I think maybe the cleaner forgot to sweep the kitchen floor as there was spaghetti on it, but there was noting we didn't like

The house was beautiful, extremely well presented and very clean and tidy. It has everything you need. It exceeded my expectations. I have no complaints. There is nothing more I could have asked for.
