- Carmen (8/5): A comfortable waterfront stay that captures the authentic spirit of Bastimentos and island life - Hotel Caribbean View was one of the better places I stayed during my visit to Bastimentos. The location is excellent, with the water taxi dropping you off right at the property, making arrival and departure very convenient. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for two people sharing accommodations. I especially appreciated having a reliable hot shower after long days exploring the islands. The air conditioning worked well and helped make the room comfortable. Wi-Fi was dependable throughout my stay, which was important for staying connected and handling phone calls. The common and lobby areas were clean, inviting, and provided a nice space for private conversations when sharing a room with a travel companion. One thing visitors should know is that this is an authentic Caribbean neighborhood. The local music starts early in the morning, often around 7:00 a.m., which is part of the culture and atmosphere of Bastimentos. For travelers who appreciate local life, this adds to the experience rather than detracts from it. The only challenge during my stay was mosquitoes in the room. They seemed impossible to spot, but they definitely found me! Fortunately, the air conditioning helped somewhat. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Hotel Caribbean View to travelers looking for a comfortable, well-located place to experience the authentic character of Bastimentos. #CarmenGoesCoastal 🌴🇵🇦 Mosquitoes were active during my stay, so I recommend bringing insect repellent. Early morning neighborhood music may not be ideal for light sleepers, although it is part of the authentic Caribbean atmosphere.

- Jana (9/5): - Ubytování mělo své kouzlo, i když vybavení už něco pamatovalo. Pěkný výhled z balkonu. Old Bank vřele doporučuji. Je to autentické místo karibské vesnice (barevné domky), kde se místní setkávají venku na jediné "hlavní" ulici. Na pláž Wizard, která je na druhé straně ostrova, je to 1,2 km.
- Sapountzis (8/5): - Η βεράντα πάνω στη θάλασσα ήταν ότι καλύτερο! Με λαχτάρα γυρνούσαμε στο κατάλυμα για ένα ποτό - χυμό εκεί που ηρεμούσε το μάτι και η ψυχή σου. Είχαμε την τύχη να έχουμε σχεδόν πριβέ την βεράντα του 1 ορόφου. Από την πίσω πλευρά του καταλύματος είχε ένα σπίτι που κάθε μέρα μαζευόταν μια μεγάλη παρέα και έβαζαν μουσική διαπασών συνεχώς, ευτυχώς περίπου μέχρι τις 10 το βράδυ αλλά έτυχε να ξεκινήσουν και στις 6 το πρωί.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great location, great hosts, great room - I had a great stay at Caribbean View. The hotel is very nice, clean, and quiet. The location is perfect. It is right on the water and close to the restaurants and stores. The walking path to get to Wizard Beach starts just meters from the property. The hosts are very welcoming. I recommend starting your day with breakfast from the onsite restaurant with a great view of the water.

- Atila (10/5): So günstig, wir dachten es wäre ein Preisfehler - Da es so viel günstiger als andere Unterkünfte auf den Bocas ist, dachten wir es wäre ein Preisfehler. Aber war alles richtig und wir waren echt begeistert! Haben auch einfach so ohne Aufpreis ein Zimmer mit Klimaanlage erhalten. Gibt zum Glück auch Moskitonetze. Unser Zimmer wurde auch jeden Tag gereinigt, was wir auch nicht erwartet hätten. Der Vater Luis ist ein cooler und entspannter Typ mit dem wir uns gerne unterhalten haben. Mit seinem gleichnamigen Sohn haben wir eine Tour mit dem Boot unternommen. Alle Absprachen wurden eingehalten und es hat super geklappt (wobei wir hier vorher skeptisch waren aufgrund anderer Bewertungen). Frühstück kostet 8$ und war ganz ok.
- EdVise (8/5): - Excellent location for this family guesthouse. Rooms are fine and there's places to sit outside and spend quite time Guest's kitchen is missing. The best terrace on the lower floor is taken by reception while it could be a great open place for guests to sit. Management is not clear and while they offer tours, there is no organised booking. After long discussions we booked at another place. They can take a good lesson from the Jaguar guest house

- Sebastian (8/5): - Die Lage war super um die Insel zu erkunden. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und konnten unser Zimmer direkt beziehen, obwohl wir bereits am Vormittag ankamen. Das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend, und auch Nachmittags konnte man Kaffee oder ähnliches bestellen. Ein Zimmerwechsel wär auf Anfrage unkompliziert möglich. Im ersten Zimmer war die Decke im Bad leider stark verschimmelt.

- Ines Christine (8/5): - Das Personal war toll. Der Wizard Beach auf der anderen Seite von Bastimentos ist wunderschön. Die Lautstärke der Nachbarn war unerträglich. Durch den vielen Regen war das Meer und der Strand am Hotel sehr schmutzig. Bocas del toro ist sehr teuer für wenig Leistung. Die Supermärkte haben wenig Auswahl und sind sehr schmutzig. Das Hotel ist eigentlich eine Baustelle.

- HOWARD (8/5): Lovely few days spent on the Caribbean coast - Friendly staff and lovely view from the decking. Easy going atmosphere. The room met our expectations, only improvement would have been air conditioning. Nice quiet place and breakfast is available. Not loads going on for tourists around the place in the evening. Need to get a boat across to the main island.

- Jané Chimeno (5/5): Bien, hotel con encanto - Limpio, hotel con mucho encanto, el dueño Luis padre muy simpático y amable. Salía poca agua de la ducha, pero caliente. Tampoco es gran problema. Lo que sí, no os fiéis mucho de su hijo “Luisito” para los tours, a nosotras nos dejó colgadas un día, y el otro por suerte nos metió en otro tour que hacía otro chico y ahí tuvimos suerte.

The son Luis can also take you on some amazing trips with his boat. The room is very big and clean, and every day your room is cleaned. Sometimes there is a problem with water on the island but when you ask the owner he puts the water straight on for you and you will have warm water to shower Nothing
- Terry (1/5): Bad, very very bad. - What did I like. The loud music playing late into the night. I was impressed with the little fan in the room instead of the air conditioner as advertised. The trash everywhere in the neighborhood. No air conditioning. No running water, shower, toilet. Father and son dishonest about condition of hotel facilities. Trip to red frog beach left us stranded on the dock. Do Not Stay There.

We waited about 30 minutes at reception to check in as we couldn’t find any members of staff. When we finally could check in it took a while for them to find our booking and we were given the wrong room so we had to change.

We could check in the room, even though we were very early. The room / bathroom is very small, but we loved our stay. We had hot water/ Air conditioning and two beds and loved the staff.

They went out of their way to help me and my cousin out when we were robbed on Wizard beach, one of them even coming with us to the police station in bocas town and making sure we wouldn’t have to pay a fee for the water taxi. The wifi was not usable in the room, only common areas.

- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - Love the island, beaches were worth the trip. Booked 2 days stayed 6. Apparently, this is pretty common. Greet the locals, they are friendly back Town has little infrastructure, and no ATM. Stock up in Boca before arriving. (Though, this is kinda a plus.)
- Mara (9/5): Pleasant Comfortable Stay - The location is great, being located on the water and a short walk from restaurants in Old Bank. The room we stayed in had a good view of the bay from the balcony. Luis was a great host who gladly attended to any of our needs and helped to organize activities for our stay in Bocas del Toro and our excursion to Red Frog Beach. Nothing, really. We enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

Haf to buy the breakfast but was really good with a lot of choices. The owner sometimes turns down the water for the hole property ( no big deal, just ask him to turn it on again)

The restaurant was never open during the identified hours, and there was almost never someone there to assist with any problems that arose. The internet was not very strong based on what else was available on the island.
