• CHRISTIANE (8/5): Wunderbar! - Die Lage ist perfekt. Fast alle sehenswerten Orte in Ubud sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Durch die Lage in einer kleineren Seitenstraße ist es dennoch ruhig und entspannend. Der Innenhof ist beeindruckend. Sehr gute Unterkunft, wenn man für ein paar Nächte die Stadt erkunden möchte.

After just one night, we woke up with our throats irritated because the room, the bedding, and the furniture were full of mold. The room was humid, dark, and smelly, with no air conditioning and filled with ants and other insects. After the first night, we had to turn to Airbnb to find a different place. The host charged me an extra 20 dollars for a room with air conditioning, which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I filed a complaint with Booking.com, but nothing was done and we didn’t receive any refund. Don’t waste your money on this terrible place — it shouldn’t even be listed on booking platforms. Absolutely awful TERRIBLE AND THEY STOLE OUR MONEY

• RRcar (9/5): - What a beautiful place to stay. It feels wonderfully homely, surrounded by lush greenery that makes you feel like you’re truly in the wild. The sound of flowing water and the koi pond that greets you on arrival add a magical, almost majestic touch. Ubud is already enchanting, and this place fits perfectly into that atmosphere. Great value for money. Smiley and helpful lady who received me, good location where shops, restaurants, and a supermarket are all within walking distance. The WiFi works well, the bathroom is spacious, and the air-conditioning is decent. Overall, a lovely place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, nature, and a good price. Highly recommended. Would have been nice if there's electric kettle and cups but could probably ask the owner...

• Lara (10/5): - Perfekte Lage und vor allem ein sehr schöner kleiner Ort, schon grün bepflanzt, und alles was man brauchte. Wir haben 5 Nächte hier verbracht und es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Der Herr an der Rezeption war immer sehr bemüht und hilfreich, man kann direkt vor Ort bei ihm Touren als auch Motorrad buchen, für kleinen Preis. Es war wirklich sehr herzlich, wir haben uns durch und durch wohl gefühlt. Es ist vielleicht etwas laut an der Straße, aber uns hat es nicht gestört, bei dem Preis, kann man sich nicht beschweren.

• Israel (7/5): Nice and simple stay in the heart of Ubud - Our stay was pleasant and the room met the expectations for the price paid. Not many amenities though, still works if you're just looking for a place to sleep. The bed was spacious, the toilet was not very functional - the shower was installed too close to the wall. You could see some ants crawling near the sink. But since we were out most of the day, we didn't bother. Also, no one cleaned the room diring our 4 nights. If you're looking for a budget stay, it's fine.
• Kathryn (7/5): Good value. - Location was close to everything, yet tucked in off a busy street, so that traffic noise was not bad. Pleasant little courtyard with swan fountain and carp. Breakfast was not included, but that was reasonable for the price, and good options were readily available nearby. Bathroom arrangement had toilet and shower in one enclosure -- not unusual for Bali, but not ideal. I was not confident of room security, as the windows didn't seem to lock securely.

Right next to the main road, it was very loud thru out the night. I didn't get to sleep properly. There was an unexpected domestic violence 😳 in the middle of the night.

And the second room has weird smell which we are not sure what it is
• Anastasiia (5/5): Not what I expected... - Location and room size After reading nice reviews of Candra Asri I chose this stay for my trip.. What can I share? The location is very good. And that's it. The clearness is 5 out of 10. The room complexity is poor. They don't provide you any caps or glasses for tea. No electric kettle inside the room or outside. No common fridge for guests'use. The bed had a warm blanket with no bedsheet for it... Its not a quiet place for relaxing as the owner's child cries loudly and moody most of the time. About cleaning, no actually cleaning before you ask. When we asked about clearing the staff guy Ketut spent only 3 minutes for cleaning!!! He only made the floor wet. Nothing else. Not washing the toilet and sink, no changing the bedsheets or towels. Only 3 minutes of cleaning, guys! After I complained, Ketut went back and cleaned the toilet... One more thing. When I reserved my booking here the price for the room was less than 200 k Indonesian rupees per night. When I asked to prolong the stay for another 2-3 weeks, how much would they charge us?.. Sure I was expecting a better price without booking charges... BUT... Ketut said that it will be 400 k Balinese rupees per night!!! Two times more expensive! What the hell is it? For 400k you can find an amazing property nearby with a swimming pool and breakfast included! So... I don't recommend this place... You can stay here for a couple of days only. But for a better and long stay you can easily find something much much better. We switched to the neighbour property Danasari for a better price and there we found everything that we didn't find in Candra Asri.

• Jesvinder (10/5): Relaxing and Safe. - The location was excellent. I walk out and there is KAFE for breakfast and ATMA cafe a few steps away on the rigth and left. 5-10 minute walk and/ I'm in town. Nothing. I was very comfortable. The service here was excellent.

The driver-Agung was very helpful and directs me tour places highly recommended by them. I really enjoyed the stay. My room has a fan but it didn’t really cool off the room even though it has been turned to level 5, hard to sleep in the night, good thing some nights are cool because of the rain.

• Angelia (9/5): The best cultural experience I had in Indonesia - -I loved my host and new friend, Ketut! I hope to see him again one day. He is very responsive with any need I had. Quick to reply on WhatsApp and very kind to chat with, is is full of cultural facts and suggestions! He even helped me arrange transportation to the airport(400k). -Very clean -The location is perfect! I really wanted a cultural experience and was lucky enough to experience many here. The village temple is close by, including a pavilion I could see from my balcony rm2(loved the outdoor furniture, added to my stay). I was able to watch a few performances while I was there. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper like me. -This location is totally worth it. I booked last minute due to a mishap with my other hotel I originally booked. I didn’t think 13 miles was too far from Ubud, I was wrong with this traffic. It was almost impossible to find transportation. I had zero issues with finding a Gojeck in this location, which was close to everything I had planned and wanted to explore. -My absolute favorite restaurant/cafe in Indonesia was just across the street! -The bed was extremely comfortable and they had the best ac I’ve found in Indonesia (I stayed in five different accommodations on my trip). -Also, the garden here is zen and beautiful. -overall great experience and even better price point! -The bathroom shower was not my favorite. I accidentally broke the shower faucet handle turning off the shower on my last day. They were understanding. -The first few days there was a strong smell in the bathroom, but Ketut helped me sort out the naphthalene balls asap.

Ketut was really helpful and friendly as we had a very late flight and did not arrive until 3am, the next day he came to greet us properly and asked us about our trip, we said we were moving on to Amed which is about 2.5 hrs away and he helped us arrange a taxi rather than using the apps so we could stop at the gate of heaven on the way! For the price the room is great, good size, with air conditioning, the bathroom was a bit basic but everywhere was very clean! Would definitely recommend!

• Natalie (9/5): Great value stay in Ubud - Located within 15 minute walking distance of main Ubud sites (such as monkey forest, temples, markets), water available, good size room, comfortable beds and pillows, clean. No aircon in room (as expected based on booking) however the ceiling fan maximum speed was a bit low, so the room was very hot and much hotter compared to outside. If heat bothers you definitely book a room with aircon! At times the room was loud given the close proximity to a main street however this didn't prevent us from sleeping.
• Irina (7/5): mixed feelings - the air conditioning in one of the rooms worked well, and the bedsheets were clean, which was appreciated. They also had scooter rental facilities, We booked two rooms, and unfortunately, the second room did not have air conditioning, making it quite uncomfortable, so we had to move the mattress from the second room to the other one. There was also a bad smell, although not unbearable. The bathroom was quite dirty, and there were no amenities like shower gel or shampoo provided. The bottles were empty. We noticed a few cockroaches in the room, and to make things worse, we even saw two mice during our stay. Communication with the owner was challenging as his English was a bit... rusty.
• Saskia (8/5): Cute, Comfy stay, lovely host, perfect location - Really sweet host, perfect location, comfy bed There was a really strong smell that really impacted my breathing. I couldn’t figure it out what it was at first but after the first 3 nights I did, it was naphthalene balls in the bathroom, unfortunately they are used in Bali. Once I removed them it was so much better. I also extended my stay so in saying that, the place is affordable and a pleasant stay. I did mention it to the host towards the end, and he was willing to resolve the issue, I wish I mentioned it from the beginning :)
• Karina (10/5): Home in Ubud - I stayed here last year and came back. Chose to make this a home/work space for almost a month because of the location access to shops, restaurants, cafes. That having said expect noise from traffic and people in the area. Ketut looked out for me like an extended family member ~ he checks on you now and then, I have to credit him highly for being an all around guy, he's very hardworking and dedicated to what he does. There are no facilities other than the room and bathroom, but that's straightforward in their listing.
