Guest Reviews
- Louise Mary (10/5): A very lovely, peaceful stay! Would definitely come back! - Lovely location and the cottage was very cosy.
- Sarah (10/5): - Everything about the place for the price was amazing!!!
It had character.. with a modern twist, the decor inside. It had all the kitchen essentials I needed. Easy to find but out of the way surrounded by beautiful views.
Would definitely stay again. It took me a long time to decide where I wanted to stay but I was so happy with this choice ! The electric heater in the communal room was a bit hard to get the hang of.. maybe I should have looked for instructions đź¤
- keith (9/5): - Ideal for one or two people but tv should have been in the lounge,a small stool or chair would have been good and a walled garden with gate, and some instructions for the ovan and a microwave would be handy.but our stay was great.
- Philip (8/5): - Very peaceful area Insane amount of wasps
- NICHOLAS (7/5): Small but OK for a short stay. - No facility to hang clothes, apart from one hangar on a hook too high for my wife to reach. Having to sit on the bed to watch tv.
- Karen (9/5): Idealic location for walks - It was in a stunning location, down a single track. If you want peace and access to wonderful walks this is the place. We didn't like the tv being in the bedroom..
- adela.mcn (8/5): Lovely little accommodation in the middle of Peak District - Perfect for 2 people. The kitchen was well equipped, though we didn't cook or use the oven during our stay. Please note that there's only a toaster and kettle and no microwave.
Very good location within easy reach of local walks and attractions. The bathroom could use more storage space and hooks for towels.
Overall the accommodation was clean, though we felt that the rugs could use a wash or benefit from a better vacuum. There wasn't any mop or vacuum on the property as it's quite small, so made it quite hard too keep entry way floor clean with just a small broom.
As it's quite in a remote location, the TV kept losing signal so made it hard to watch live TV or listen to radio, but we didn't mind it much as we were there to disconnect and relax.
- Louise (8/5): Clean, tidy very bijou in a super location. - The location and that we could take the dog. It was a bit too small to be comfortable and the bed was too hard for me. Dog owners in the other cottages didn’t manage their dogs and one kept trying to get into our cottage.
- Angela (10/5): Fantastic stay - Cosy, clean and well situated for everything we needed x
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional - There is nothing not to like about this property. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and lounge area to relax.
- Suzanne (6/5): Pleasant - Location Bed was uncomfortable, not really suited for winter stays, gets very cold and the bedroom heater is noisy, bathroom floor is freezing.
- Chloe (8/5): Lovely little getaway. - Cute little get away It’s a little too small if you have a dog as well as two people
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (6/5): A compacted cottage with beautiful walks on the doorstep. - The location is great for exploring the area and walks from the door. Nice to have 2 ice cream farms within walking distance! Only the outside table to eat at. The weather wasn’t great when we were there and therefore had to eat sitting on the settee. Not something I would choose to do. Also can never understand why holiday homes have cheap mattresses on beds or welcome dogs when there is no enclosed area outside.
- Paul (5/5): Passable - The location The uncomfortable bed.
No microwave as was advertised.
Poor shower.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hunt (9/5): The Pigsty! - Cleanliness, items and facilities provided were great.
The parking, nearby walks and pub/restaurants were fantastic. There are too many doors in the tiny property. Maybe worth installing sliding doors?
Also a gate of some kind so that a dog can be let outside to go to the toilet without having to put them on a lead.
Finally, the bed does not need 4 posts on the bed frame, the room is tiny and this takes up more unnecessary space as you navigate your way around each side of the bed.
- Waine (9/5): Excellent - Great location ,very clean and very comftable. The television in the bedroom. Would have prefered it in the lounge area.
- Emma (9/5): Cosy - Location Didn’t understand the tv in the bedroom and not in the lounge
- Robert (7/5): Good - Good little spot as a base for a few days whilst exploring the Peak District - well thought out design & layout, clean and tidy. Bathroom floor was freezing and not much pressure in the shower (water nice & hot though)
- Ian (8/5): Good location, lovely cottage, just cold in the bathroom which stopped it from being top marks. - Location. Quiet. Bathroom was very cold. Need to supply better heating in this room.
- Clarke (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Very good - Location . Cosy .peaceful. relaxing. Couldn't open window .no microwave. Tv in bedroom not living room .
