• Lea (8/5): Goede plek voor aankomt of vertrek. - Het enorm aardige personeel en de ligging. Service om later uit te kunnen uitschenken ivm late vlucht vanuit Windhoek. Binnen 10 minuten ben je in Windhoek, maar toch de rust van de landelijke ligging. Vanwege afgelegen ligging de neiging om ook ter plekke het diner te gebruiken. Wij vonden het niet echt lekker.

Transfer zum Flughafen wurde top organisiert. Bis zur Abreise gegen 16:30 konnte ich mich am Pool und im Restaurant aufhalten

• Rosemary (9/5): Lovely setting, friendly staff, comfortable beds, but small improvments could make a huge difference - Loved the setting with its beautiful views, and how attentive the staff were. Hated that the rooms had neither mosquito nets over the beds, nor mosquito gauze on the windows. This meant you cannot open any window and have to rely on noisy aircon. After all, the hotel sells its outdoors ambience. Also hated that the bedside lamps were naked light bulbs that shone directly and painfully into your eyes when you read in bed. A cheap and nasty fashion.

• Sophie (7/5): Cute lodge to start/end your Namibian trip - Really nice place near Windhoek. We stayed there on our first day/night in Namibia and it was great to start our trip there. We also saw a few monkeys driving through towards the gate. The houses are simple but comfortable and clean. We stayed in Windhoek on our way back to the airport at the end of our trip and much preferred River Crossing than inside Windhoek city. We had a house the furthest away from the main lodge with a few HUGE spiders and spiders webs on the way. This is not something that we necessarily didn’t like but definitely not the best. Nothing that the lodge can do, apart from cleaning it which would be disturbing wild life and nature.

We went for a run in the vast grounds and the bush was great. Quite a walk from the parking area to the rooms - a trolley to help with heavy luggage would have been very useful. A number of the lights in the pathways to the rooms were not working.

• Yvette (10/5): Great end to a fab trip - This accomodation took me by surprise... to have such an experience in Windhoek... WOW. The view, the pool (lap-pool)... amazing way to start or end your trip. Close enough to the airport and the mall - perfect. The staff were friendly and forthcoming. The brekfast was ok - but there is def room for improvement. I asked to have my 4x4 washed and a great job was done - not for the quoted price (in the end was more than double) ... but still a great deal. Thank you

• kimberley (10/5): Lovely retreat high in the hills above Windhoek - This is a great place to stay for a couple of nights up in the hills above Windhoek (and easy access to airport). Accommodation is very comfortable in individual cottages with private porch. We had full board and all the meals were delicious. Kudos to the chef. Drink prices reasonable. You can dine indoors or on the outdoor terrace which provides beautiful views of the sunset and the city lights. Swimming pool area good. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The 3-hour game drive in their private reserve was certainly a treat. We would stay here again. This is not a negative - but you do have to walk to your cottage - and we were quite fine with a distant one. However if you have walking issues, then ask for cottage close to the main reception/restaurant area.
• Julie (8/5): - Lodge is in a beautiful setting, rooms spacious & comfortable. Dinner was mainly good & of a high standard, Stafford friendly. Our room although spacious and fitted with a room fridge & aircon. Fridge wasn't switched on when we arrived and after switching it on found out why, as during the night it kept boosting upvery noisy, so that we switched it back off. Aircon during night kept banging everytime it re started to keep temperature. Both could perhaps do with a service as between them we didn't have a good night's sleep. The only other negative was as it was heavily raining when we stayed, the water pooled on tiled steps and around seating area, this should have been swept away as it made it difficult to walk on tiled areas.

• Aleksandra (7/5): Spokojny pobyt blisko miasta - Spędziliśmy tam pięć nocy, cicha okolica, dużo prywatności, piękne widoki, blisko miasta. Śniadania ok chociaż mały wybór. Ogólnie pobyt oceniamy dobrze. Obsługa raczej ok, chociaż zdarzały się niedociągnięcia np. że nie dostaliśmy nawet talerzyka do pieczywa (czekając na zamówioną kolację).

• Anthone (8/5): It was lovely. I can highly recommend. - The views of the mountain, even from the shower, are glorious! The staff is courteous and friendly. The cheese board and Shiraz are highly recommended. Not really anything, except some mosquito repellent in the rooms would be great, as well as a mirror in the bedroom for doing make up and hair.

Game drive was awesome and we did see quite a few different wildlife animals, some were a bit far away on adjacenr areas where rhere was no access, but guidde provuded binoculars for a better view. My wife and kids did not like all the spiderwebs, but then again this is right in the mountains and bush.
