• Jocelyn (10/5): Tranquil, beautiful, meaningful experience - This is a very beautiful property with a very kind hostess. Kim is definitely the best hostess and makes coming here very worthwhile. She was very welcoming to my family, explaining how the sauna worked. We also had a delicious dinner at their family's restaurant. She went above and beyond to help me figure out activities to do in the area with a taxi, as my train out was later in the day. This was the perfect place for a tranquil escape. nothing- everything was perfect

Kim est une personne merveilleuse, très aidante (surtout quand il fallut appeler les compagnie de taxi pour retrouver mon téléphone que je pensais oublié en arrivant !). Leur restaurant en face est un délice de spécialités locales et l’organisation de notre départ sur Hakone en Taxi privé a été géré totalement. Nous recommandons vivement pour se ressourcer. La SDB et le sauna font vraiment plaisir ‘ RAS

• Renee (10/5): A magical oasis with a magical view of Mt Fuji. - What a magical oasis. Such a calm and tranquil place to stay. We were a family of 4 adults and 2 children and the bedding configuration worked well for us. The onsen, cold plunge bath and spa were a perfect addition after our hectic 4 day Tokyo trip beforehand. The whole place is beautiful. Kim and her husband are wonderful people. Mt Fuji is the backdrop from the outdoor seating area. The Freshwater Restaurant is 3 steps away and the meal was delicious (true traditional Japanese cuisine). Everything was perfect.
• David (10/5): This is an amazing cultural experience, one of the highlights of our trip. - This was the most outstanding property l have experienced in my travels. Even before we arrived our host Kim could not have made us feel more comfortable. Her correspondence was impeccable and Kim went out of her way to help navigate Fuji and with our lack of being able to speak Japanese to get our luggage shipped to Osaka for the next leg of our trip . Herself and husband own the restaurant next door and do an amazing traditional Japanese cuisine which is outstanding. The view of Fuji from the villa is stunning. Our family of 5 with 3 older teenagers loved this place so do yourself a favour and enjoy this Japanese experience. Nothing

• Sean (10/5): Delightful host and gorgeous, comfortable accomodation - Kim, the host, was so welcoming and lovely. The house is gorgeously designed and cosy, with an enormous bathroom (showers, private hot bath, sauna and cold plunge). We would love to stay here again, this time for longer than one night. Nothing!

Perfect for relaxing in evenings after long days exploring. Beds were super comfortable and the rooms were gently warmed through flooring. There was nothing we didn’t like!

Fuji views. - My wife and I stayed in this lovely villa for five nights in October and had a fantastic experience. We especially loved the large private hot bath, sauna, and cold plunge. The home is thoughtfully arranged and fully equipped with everything we needed to cook meals while we explored the Fuji Five Lakes area during the day. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the entire space felt very private. Having a washer and dryer was also a big help for doing a few loads of laundry during our stay. The hosts were incredibly kind and greeted us with fresh fruit and sparkling sake, which was such a warm touch. The location is peaceful and just a short drive from all the major hikes and attractions, set away from the busier tourist areas. Best of all, we enjoyed stunning views from the balcony—sipping coffee in the morning while looking at Mt. Fuji was unforgettable. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

• Kate (10/5): Fantastic house with welcoming and gracious hosts - Villa Ietona is a truly special place. It is beautiful in all its details, from the way it has been constructed in wood, to the ceramics and glassware in the cupboards. The private “onsen” is the best thing about it… a deep, hot bath which looks out on to a Japanese garden; a sauna; and a cold dipping bath. Everything about it is immaculate. You can also step straight outside to cool off and relax on the veranda, which overlooks some pretty woodland. Kim and her husband were so welcoming and kind; we had - delicious supper in their restaurant next door, which was a multi-course menu served delightfully. We stayed two nights, and the day in between was so wet that Fuji and the surrounding hills were nowhere to be seen. Thanks to Villa Ietona we still managed to have a fantastic time, and then the morning we left, early, it was sunny… and there was Fuji-San in all its glory. What a moment!

• Paul (10/5): Absolutely the best place to stay with family and friends to hike or visit Mt. Fuji! - Ietona is the best place to stay if you are visiting Mt. Fuji. It comfortably sleeps 6 people in very comfortable beds. The home is spotless clean and looks new. Our host was so nice and helpful. The restaurant and authentic Japanese meal with locally sourced organic ingredients was excellent. The private sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge was perfect after climbing Mt. Fuji. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! It was perfect. There was nothing that we didn't like.
• Miranda (10/5): If you are visiting Mt Fuji you must stay here for the full omakase, bathing experience. - This property was EVERYTHING!! From the hosts to the location, everything was spot on! The location was close to main station but quiet and serene. The special dinner was right outside at the hosts' restaurant! We got to have the BEST omakase experience (highly recommend)! And the hosts were just perfect and were a delight!! And the amenities of the house were PERFECT!! highly recommend this stay for all!!! Nothing, everything was perfect!
