- Katie (9/5): - Beautiful annexe, loads of character, very comfortable bed, had everything you need and was spotlessly clean. Very spacious. Beautiful location as well, very peaceful. Pretty little courtyard area for sitting out. Loved the wood burner too, though I didn't need to use it! Great contact with the hosts who were very helpful when I left my earrings behind!! The only suggestion I have is to maybe have a look at the water pressure for the bath and shower. It was also a bit difficult to control the temperature. Not a big problem though!

- Lee (9/5): Fantastic venue, great value for money, milk and biscuits in fridge happy stayers - Hot water pressure!
- Alan (8/5): Very comfortable, host Jamie very helpful and responsive. - Great location, not far to small village but quiet and secluded. Good links for Bath/Bristol.

- Deborah (10/5): Fabulous Stay. - Everything! The location, friendly and helpful owner, comfortable surroundings. Milk and biscuits in the fridge. Tea, coffee in the cupboards. It was actually bigger that it appears on the photos. Loved the layout of the bathroom. We went into Bath for the Christmas markets. 14 minutes to the park and ride. 20 minutes bus journey into the city. Nothing at all! Some have commented that the parking was a squeeze and difficult to turn around. I have a fiesta and found it ok to turn around, but for ease, the next time I reversed in.
- Lin (9/5): Super stay visiting family and sightseeing in Bath. - Clean, quiet, comfortable and quirky. Difficult to find entrance on dark rainy night.
- Malcolm (10/5): - It was a fantastic venue in a fabulous location.
- Blagomir (10/5): -
- Satvinder Pal Singh (10/5): - Lovely setting, accommodation, decor.
Scenic setting. N/a
- Stacey (10/5): Perfect hidden gem 💎 - Beautiful cottage, very cosy and accommodating. Everything was very clean and welcoming, the outdoor space was also perfect and covered with trees if it rained and it has an outdoor and indoor log burner. Jamie even provided some milk, biscuits, tea and coffee. It was close enough to any shops, chippies or whatever you need but also very remote feeling with some lovely walking routes around. What a lovely hidden gem 💎 Nothing to not like, the place was perfect! If I was heading back to this location I would stay here again.
- Catherine (10/5): Excellent private, spacious accommodation, well off the road. - Spacious, very comfortable and clean. Very private annex to main house which happened to be unoccupied when we were there (only two nights, host away so we did not meet actually) Very quiet as it is well off the road. Unusually shaped bathroom which suited us, as it was around the corner to the bedroom, so more privacy, and there was a safety shower mat! Booked at the last minute due to host cancelling our Booking.com accommodation the night before, and our checking in and stay, was wonderfully seamless! No paving from car to the door - difficult to wheel cases across the loose stones. Smoke alarm went off too easily - we ended up having to take battery out, even to boil eggs for breakfast. There was quite a high step (carpeted) between lounge and dining area - tricky for us, as one of us has mobility issues. Nearest parking had too much hedge growth, which set off our hire car alarms (and brakes!) necessitating parking a distance away! Kitchen area was small - long and narrow, so only one person could be in the kitchen area at a time.
- Justyna (10/5): We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming cottage. Great, central location. Great value for money. We would h - It was a peaceful location, very central for visiting Somerset. The cottage was very charming, well equipped and very comfortable. The communication with the host was great. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. N/A

- Anne (10/5): It was perfect for a quiet mini break mixed with seeing family in Bristol. - It was a mixture of a clean modern and charming old cottage. It was very comfortable for two people. Our new satnav took us past the entrance to the property. One of our phones found it for us.
- Harry (8/5): -
- Sunil (9/5): -
- James (9/5): Comfortable roomy place to stay - The quiet and bring in our own private outdoor space in tge garden
- Kelly (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (10/5): Exactly as described. - Spotlessly clean. Comfortable and spacious. Peaceful. Comfy beds. Lots of helpful sundries such as air freshener, milk, washing up materials, toiletries. Parking available. Easy to find. Close to amenities. No complaints at all.
- Sara (9/5): Superb - Spacious, well equipped Bathroom cold tap not working
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -
- Chelsea (8/5): Pleasant and peaceful - It was very cosy and spacious. Perfect for a weekend get away if you wanted peace and quiet. Unfortunately we came during the storm so had a power cut, but the host was very helpful ensuring we had wood for the fire and a stove to cook food if we wished Nothing bad about the property itself at all. Just wish we could’ve experienced Bath more but wasn’t able too due to the storm
- Tom (10/5): First class all-round, What more can one say. Tom and Sonia - Accommodation first class, Jamie and wife are lovely people making us really at home.
The accommodation was situated at a peaceful spot, making our stay most enjoyable.
We will use the Annexe again should we be in that area.
. Breakfast being available
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheila (10/5): Perfect quiet place to stay. Jamie a very kind host. - Lovely location. Ideal for visiting patient at local hospital. My one slight criticism was the location of the toilet.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): Fantastic location - Great location lovely and quiet. Great instructions on how to get there. We will definitely go again. Met James on arrival and was on hand if we need him thanks. Nothing
- Darren (6/5): Interesting..... - Cleanliness was good Access road treacherous. Only 2 Pillows on the bed. Welcome pack extremely poor. Parking dangerously tight. Toilet area tight and hot tap that turned the wrong way and loose fitting.
- Alun (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet location dog kennels next door, we heard nothing at all probably because there is so many trees, shrubs and other plants about,an excellent property in a great location. The only negative the drive was a bit potholed and splashed mud over my car. Small gripe for a great place to stay.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Great communication with host. Easy key collection and very nice place.
- Nicola (10/5): Perfect - Gorgeous little place, cosy, warm and beautifully presented. Nothing
- Charles (10/5): Lovely accommodation - Lovely accommodation really clean and a nice space
Located behind the post office with easy on street parking in a very quiet village
Host really helpful Nothing all was great
- Joel (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (9/5): Really nice base for a short break, business stop-over or super walking/sight-seeing holiday - The property is adjacent to the village shop, which is very useful for picking up a bit of shopping, and also for collecting/dropping off the keys.
The interior is tastefully and recently decorated and the property came with everything we needed for our short break.
Comfortable bed and plenty of space for hanging clothes etc.
Great shower in a surprisingly large bathroom that also has a bath with a shower attachment (good for relaxing). Good supply of nice towels. Toiletries provided too.
Didn't use the oven/hob or washing machine (a very useful addition) but they seem in good working order. Really good to have plenty of mugs (in relation to the no. occupants).
Decent wifi considering the rural location.
The property is ideally located for walking in the Forest of Dean. There are footpaths very close by (we didn't use any this time). There is a local pub across the road from the property (didn't use it, so can't comment further - at the moment it only takes cash payments).
Convenient for visiting the area because it's within easy reach of Monmouth, Chepstow, Tintern Abbey, and even Bristol and Cardiff for day trips. Nothing we didn't like.
The only thing worth mentioning is that, compared with other holiday cottages I've used, it would be useful to have a bit more information about how to use the appliances in the property (not that we had any problems!), and a folder or some notes about local footpaths, places to visit etc.
- Dave (10/5): A great place to stay for a short break. - A very comfortable, cosy stay in a quiet location.
- Clare (7/5): Good location for a couples short break. - Comfortable bed
Good location for visiting Bath and Wells
Chocolate biscuits and fresh milk in fridge on arrival. Parking space very tight - not able to turn unless you have small car.
Bath fills very slowly.
Toilet has very limited leg room, knees touched the wall when sitting straight.
- John (8/5): Accommodation well equipped, comfortable and very clean but NO TV!!. - Keys were in the door. Cleanliness, milk etc.provided, quiet and peaceful. High step and level were dangerous for people of our age. Surprised nobody greeted us or contacted us. Met Jamie by accident whilst waiting for a lift from friends..
- Anonymous (10/5): attention to detail left us cupcakes and milk - it was just perfect nothing
- Lisbeth (9/5): Very comfortable and exceptionally clean. - Breakfast was not included as self catering.
Last section of track to house might be difficult to access in bad weather. Just an observation I usually sleep with two pillows and only 1 per person provided. However as they were fairly plump pillows this was not too great an issue.
- Whitney (10/5): Perfect staycation! - Beautiful location, cosy, spacious, very clean and tidy. Perfect hosts who had a keen eye for detail. No complaints. Would be a perfect place for a summer staycation as there is a nice outside area where you can have a BBQ. Bath city centre is only a short drive away. We found a lovely little pub which done a delicious roast dinner called the The Fromeway in Radstock which is not far from the annexe at all.
- Hunt (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location for a romantic retreat. Loved the quirky layout and cosy front room with its log burner. Definitely like to stay again. Excellent host. Can't think of anything.
- Francesca (8/5): Very good -
- Gordon (10/5): Highly recommended - Everything! Can't fault our stay! N/A
