Our shower head fell out when you turned the water on or off with the pressure change, still worked just got hit in the head the first time when it started and when I turned it off.

• Jennifer (7/5): - Good location to walk to Chiang Mai gate and centre. Reasonably quiet location, and room was large. Pool was relaxing and had a bar next to it to order drinks for a reasonable price. They had recently done renovations with walls newly painted. Cleaned room every day. It used for big tour groups (lots of tour buses), but that actually keeps the hotel relatively quiet for our trip as people just slept there 1 or 2 nights and were out on tours all day. Felt the price we paid was reasonable for room size, pool and location. Balcony non-existent or worth paying for - half was the air con and barely wide enough for a chair on its own. Definitely don't pay extra for breakfast (ours included). We're vegan, only salad, rice and fruit, but a bit dried out as sitting out. Tea and coffee both stewed, and everything else looked tepid and uninviting - we rarely bother to eat anything. Agree with other comments that a regular feeling from the staff was that we were interrupting them (except clean staff - so Emily and welcoming!). Not unfriendly, but not the warm welcome I experienced at other hotels. Walls were thin, but not a problem for us.

Liegen am Pool waren tw. so stark aufgeheizt, dass man kaum darauf liegen konnte. WLAN funktioniert am Pool nicht, obwohl nur wenige Meter von der Bar entfernt.

• P Sargisson (8/5): A great option when in Chiang Mai, would definately be happy to stay again - We stayed twice, at either end of a tour. Nice room, good sized bathroom with plenty of vanity space. There was a desk I was able to work at and a balcony for us to watch the sun go down from. Really comfortable stay. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful and I especially appreciated them storing my laptop and some excess baggage while we went on our tour for 5 nights. Walking distance to the amazing night market and plenty of food and beverage options. Only instant coffee available at breakfast. Would expect filter coffee at a minimum in a hotel at this level.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant didn’t open of an evening when I was there - however so many close by it wasn’t really an issue.

Smoking area right outside the entry door. The bathroom drains were not well planned for the shower - the bathroom floor was always wet. The tub situation needed upgraded as well as the drainage from the shower.

• Michael (6/5): tired and needing an upgrade - Just outside, though near the old city wall, it is so easy walking distance to many of the attractions within. There is also a lively small night market on the moat if you like Thai street food. Our room was a good size at the hotel. and the receptions were able to facilitate a slightly earlier than normal check-in, which was appreciated. As it was off-season, the breakfast buffet was not offered, and a very limited choice of breakfast sets was offered. adequate, but. The cafe a few doors down the road was a much more appealing offering.

Staff were not overly accomodating. Room service menu said until 10pm. Called. Was told it’s in fact 4pm. Ask if at the least I could have some milk for a coffee. Told no. Go to a shop. Asked if I could buy/order a latte with breakfast. Yes but not before 10:30am. Breakfast finished at 10am. Felt like we were an inconvenience being there

The shower waa a disaster & drowned the bathroom floor, all for the want of a full length shower curtain. No tea or coffee just an electric jug ( what's the point) Internet great & speed good.
