• hiroyoshi (3/5): • For a price of over €260 per night, I expected a significantly higher standard. • This apartment - • Very good location: around 5 minutes’ walk to Popcorn Beach, 5–10 minutes to the nearest supermarket, and about 10–15 minutes to the city center. • The owner is kind and responsive; communication was smooth even though he does not live nearby. • Public parking was easy to find and not far from the apartment. • Despite similar feedback from previous guests, the apartment would benefit from a serious update and refurbishment. • Curtains in all rooms are old and worn. In the bedroom they are ripped and cannot be fully closed; in the living room they are torn and in poor condition. • Storage furniture in the bedrooms is very old, partly broken, and insufficient. • Lighting throughout the apartment is cold white LED, which creates a rather uncomfortable and non-cozy atmosphere. • Kitchen utensils and cookware are very worn (likely once black, now grey). • The microwave works, but is very old with yellowed plastic, and not intuitive to use. • The apartment feels small for three people with luggage. Due to limited storage space, one suitcase had to remain on the floor and be used as a makeshift closet. • The bathroom has no ventilation and no window that can be opened, so humidity remains after showering and leaves the walls wet. • Shower doors are partially broken; unless manually adjusted, water leaks out and makes the floor wet and slippery. • Noise insulation is poor. Conversations from neighboring apartments were clearly audible in the bedroom, sometimes until midnight. • Windows are old, and the locking mechanism appears improvised; from a security perspective, this should be renewed. • Both terraces lack charm and comfort. The south-facing terrace has a small table and two chairs on artificial grass and is not very inviting for breakfast. The north-facing terrace is in full shade all day and, while potentially useful in very hot weather, is otherwise not very usable. • The sofa is old, with worn seat filling, and not comfortable to sit on.
• Winthe (5/5): We wanted to check out early - - location is great for surfing - nice that basics are there: pepper, salt, oil, … - there is a duvet which is nice - enough towels etc - two terraces with sun throughout the day - access to the pool with sunbeds - big moisture stains in the bedroom - internet sucks - knob in the shower to turn it on/off doesn’t work properly, very annoying - not enough hot water for 2 showers after each other Most of all: we spotted the big stains of moisture damage in the bedroom right before going to bed on the first night. The wall was crumbling down and there were big patches of weird fibres coming out of the wall. I was first concerned about my health. We texted the host and he just said “thanks for letting me know”. He wasn’t helpful, no proactive support. In combination with the bad WiFi, we weren’t happy and we eventually complained with booking.com but he didn’t allow us to check out early. Also WiFi did not work and he said we could call an engineer to make it work again. He said we got it for cheap so shouldn’t expect more. Did not like the vibe. Not fun.

• Eleanor (8/5): We would definitely recommend this apartment in terms of a quiet, possible adult only stay. - Location very good. Proximity to the pool wonderful. The little shopping centre 8mins walk away had everything we needed, shops, supermarket and restaurants and cafe. Stony beach short 10 min walk and lovely sandy beach about 30min walk or short bus ride away. The apartment had everything we needed supplied, with bathroom and beach towels etc. The one major thing that was not to our liking was the very small double bed in the main room. So much so that one of us had to sleep in the second bedroom on the single bed in there, for comfort. It was an extremely small double. The duvet and pillows were fine.
