• Jeremy (10/5): - Everything! What a wonderful comfortable house. I actually returned a few nights after my initial stay because it was so beautiful and comfortable. Perfect quiet location, beautiful garden and amazing view from the living room and the outdoor space and furniture was very comfortable for early morning coffee. Very secure, amazing value and very helpful welcome and great communication before and during my stay. The little welcome tray of tea and snacks and fruit was a nice unexpected touch. The whirlpool outside looked lovely but I was always returning from hiking and by the time I showered I didn't get to it. The AC was quick and strong. I had overpaid for my stay when I left and was immediately contacted and they asked how they could get the extra to me. Since I returned I just applied it to my second stay. Nothing, I loved my two stays.

• Catherine (10/5): Tout le confort nécessaire - Notre séjour dans ce logement a été l’un des plus confortables de nos 15 jours au Costa Rica. La personne qui nous a accueillis a été vraiment chaleureuse : elle a pris le temps de tout nous expliquer en détail, notamment le fonctionnement du lave‑linge, ce qui a été très apprécié. La maison est très bien pensée pour offrir un séjour agréable. Les pièces sont spacieuses, tout est récent, et nous avons adoré la vue sur le jardin depuis la cuisine et le salon. Il est facile de se garer juste devant la maison. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement ! La petite odeur dans la maison
• Caroline (10/5): Klare Empfehlung für 2 Personen - Das Luba House hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Die Klimaanlage (die man definitiv braucht!!) funktionierte super, es gab warmes Wasser und den Komfort einer Waschmaschine + Wäscheständer. Die Küche war ausreichend gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt :) Was wir uns noch gewünscht hätten, wären Vorhänge im Wohnzimmer gewesen. Das Haus liegt zwar eher geschützt im Garten aber im Dunklen kann man dennoch sehr viel sehen & man fühlt sich beobachtet. Nur als kleiner Verbesserungstipp.

• Oliver (4/5): Nice surroundings, but lacking privacy, wifi and comfort - You can see squirrel monkeys from the balcony, the bed is comfy, communication was easy and friendly You don’t have a lot of privacy here. The massive windows are nice, but what you can’t really see on the images is that there is a main house right in front of the apartment. There are people gardening at random times, even when they see you inside, they just continue, look into the apartment, it was really annoying. You cant regulate the temperature of the shower. The sofa and outdoor furniture are very uncomfortable. The wifi doesn’t work (you have a connection to the network, but the network is not getting enough signal) – they tell you the “provider is sending less speed” which is, sorry, nonsense. The router is in the main house, in the apartment there is only a repeater, which is not getting enough signal. They should be open and transparent about this. As soon as it gets dark, there is no smaller comfy light – only the big bright white lights, very uncomfortable. Afterwards I checked some of the older reviews and some of them said the exact same things – so its sad to see they don’t listen to reviews (and for example, buy a 10$ night lamp). I definitely will not stay here again

• Evgenii (3/5): Poor - I have been traveling Costa Rica extensively North to South and stayed in all types of houses: hotels, airbnbs, lodges, high in mountains, in villages, next to ocean, slept in jungle in ranger stations, even in places with half wall missing, paying from 20 to 150 USD per night. Unless you sleep in hostels or ranger stations in the middle of forest, where insects are part of environment, in regular housing, when you see insects - standard response in CR: "this is jungle, what do you expect". In most cases, however, this is an excuse for poorly made house: mosquito nets badly installed with holes, huge gaps in doors and windows or lack of cleaning: people have different standards there, I assume, they build fast and very bad...you don't see these things on photos, since everyone can make good photos these days. I am totally fine with insects: I have seen 100s of jungle insects in our previous stays, even big spiders, but NEVER-EVER, cockroaches, until this place: in Luba house, I killed 4 flying cockroaches (one landed on me during dinner) in total in just 12 hours. I believe cockroaches are from sanitary issues and not from jungle, but I might be wrong. To be fair, I have been offered a refund so I can find another place to stay, but it was 8 pm and too late already, so I had to sleep over, kill a couple of cockroaches more in kitchen cupboards and shower and leave at 5 am in the morning. Just sharing my experience.
• Olena (8/5): A nice place to stay, not many things to complain, recommended. - A nice green yard, big windows, a comfy bed, potable water, AC, nice environment. Keys kept failing to work, no curtains in the leaving room - so pretty exposed, location a bit distant - in the end of the street, not so pleasant to walk there when it gets dark, but not a deal breaker.
• Dylan (10/5): Beautiful property in a lovely location- wish we stayed longer. - A stylish, modern and spacious apartment in the woods. Not far from the main town but nicely secluded. There was a jacuzzi on site which was a welcome surprise. N/A
• Russell (9/5): Modern appeal, clean, bright, quiet and private! - The host and staff were friendly and responsive. The location was close to the bus station, downtown, and a 20 minute walk to the public dock. Being located on the edge of town it was quiet and private. We didn’t use the jacuzzi, it seemed nice. The air conditioning and large bed were very appreciated! The refrigerator only really worked well turned up to maximum, especially if you want to make ice.

• Liz (8/5): Very good - Really great apartment. It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle so it feels like quite a peaceful location. Great to have a kitchen, and washing machine and there's lots of space in the apartment. The bed was huge and pretty comfy too. I felt a little exposed in the bedroom at night when the light is on since there are only curtains on the veranda at the back. Would be good to have some curtains in the bedroom or perhaps some bedside lights for dimmer lighting. Also note to future guests that the sun is quite bright in the mornings in the bedroom if you want to sleep past sunrise
• Johann (7/5): Good - Jungle setting, mattress, friendly local hosts, clean, distance to restaurants and supermarkets Dark dirt road parking, details can be improved (e.g. drain in bathroom is higher than the rest, water temperature cannot be changed, no moskito nets/ doors, large glass windows and doors are great but no chance to cover them, bowls to eat cereal/soup, aircon blows directly on bed)
