La ubicación está buena si vas en vehículo propio para moverte a las playas o ir a comprar comida. Porque no tiene nada cerca. Está increíble el lugar pero si tenes movilidad

• Guest (7/5): - Die Aussicht war schön. Das Zimmer okay, aber sehr einfach. In die Jahre gekommen. Pool müsste regelmässiger gereinigt werden. Von den beiden Zimmern im ersten Stock hat man Sicht auf den Pazifik. Nur diese beiden Zimmer.

• Uta (9/5): - Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Obergeschoss und einen großen Balkon für uns alleine. Inmitten hoher Bäume mit den schönsten Vögeln. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist bestens ausgestattet. Obwohl die Straße nicht zu sehen ist, stören die Trucks mit ihren Motorbremsen. Ohne 4 wheeldrive ist die Anfahrt mühsam aber das ist in CR normal.

El personal esta muy atento en todo momento, tuvimos un problema con la habitación y nos cambiaron enseguida. Había muchos insectos, aunque entendemos que era una cuestión de la localización (en la jungla) y era época. Fue el problema que tuvimos y nos ayudaron a solucionarlo.

• Mathis (6/5): Endroit charmant et une hôte très accueillante - La piscine, la literie et notre hôte très gentille ainsi que bienveillante Indépendant de la volonté de notre hôte mais des clients présent dans l’hôtel à ce moment là ont été très déplacé envers ma compagne et même irrespectueux, nous avons donc écourté notre séjour… de plus le parking est un peu petit et l’accès pas des plus simple

• Britta (5/5): Schön, aber leider sehr laut - Das Zimmer war wie beschrieben, jedoch sollte man beachten, dass es recht klein ist und es keine Schränke gibt. Der Ausblick von den oberen Zimmern ist toll, denn man kann das Meer sehen, den Garten und Pool. Die küche ist groß und war sauber. Es ist unfassbar laut. Der Lärm von der Straße ist extrem laut, Trucks, Motorroller, autos, es war der Wahnsinn....dazu Fluglärm. Unter der Woche ist es leider kaum auszuhalten, am Wochenende ein bisschen besser. Außerdem sollte man beachten, dass man hier ohne Auto nirgends hinkommt. Es gibt keine Busse, die in die Stadt fahren und auch keine Gehwege, sodass man an der Straße entlang gehen kann. Es gibt auch keinen Laden oder Cafe, was fußläufig der Unterkunft zu erreichen ist. Nichts.

• j (10/5): - Area of very expensive accomodations. For the money it was good. Clean and comfortable bed. Close to Ventanas beach and others but need vehicle. Near highway. Basic room and property in need of some renovation. Very nice, big , shared open kitchen area with all the equipment you need and a couple big tables.Small fridge in room. Nice shower amenities. Staff great. The stairs to the second level could be challenging if you are older or have big luggage as they are nonconforming. That is a narrow part and kind of steep with no handrail. No big deal but might matter. Pool area not inspired but there.

• Bernhard (6/5): - The Lodge is located close to some nice beaches and is a good starting point to visit the Ballena Nationalpark in Uvita. The owner is a nice lady that gives good recommendations to explore the area The rooms have very thin walls. You can hear literally every word that is being spoken by your neighbours. The facility needs some renovation. The water tap in our room didn't work. Airconditioning went on and off, the walls had big scratches, rust on the doors, toilet flush didn't work properly and so on.
• Cristian (9/5): Cocina impecable - Las instalaciones excelentes, sobre todo la cocina impecable equipada con buenos y diversos implementos, las habitaciones cómodas y la piscina muy limpia Poca aislacion de sonido entre habitaciones, en nuestra permanencia en lugar, la habitación del lado se paso haciendo ruido, moviendo cosas, hablando fuerte etc, a las 4 am, igual se entiende que no es culpa de la administración del lugar, pero quizas recalcar a los huespedes las normas del lugar.

Excelente servicio En la entrada al hotel, hay un camino bastante empinado. Recomiendo carro 4x4. Pero si conduces bien no abra problema.

• Nataliya (10/5): Beautiful hilltop lodge in Uvita with stunning views, great location, quick service, and good value. - Ballena Dorada Lodge is a beautiful place to stay in Uvita, located on a hill with scenic ocean views that are truly breathtaking. The pool area is lovely, perfect for relaxing, and the lodge is close to town, which makes getting around very convenient. We really appreciated the awesome shared kitchen — well equipped with a large fridge, making it easy to cook and store food during our stay. The lodge does need some renovation, and we did experience a few issues with the AC, toilet flush, and no water in the sink. However, once we called, everything was fixed right away, and the staff handled it professionally. We were also given a discount because of these issues, which we truly appreciated. Our room was comfortable, with a great hot shower, coffee maker, and fridge. One important tip: make sure your room has air conditioning, as there are two rooms that only have fans. Parking is available on the side of the property, though it can be a bit tricky to access, especially for larger vehicles. Overall, the price is reasonable, the views are amazing, and the location is excellent. Despite a few small issues, the quick response and fair pricing made a positive impression. We would definitely come back. Needs renovation

Our morning coffee was the best while hearing the monkeys and birds! The jungle experience outside is super cool too. Loved the host! Friendly and nice. Short drive to great beaches. The photos are enhanced to make look great but is not True . - Nothing No reception, no one to ask for assistance even the phone contact doesn't answer after hours. This place is a backpackers paradise. All the photos on the website are enhanced and staged, when you get there us a completely different thing . I'm a paraplegic I ask and call for help I never got, it was a long night in a horrible coiled mat, I hurt all night no where to sit confortable . This is a Scam. Horrible place. Non handicap friends. No water ir food available. This place Sucks. I want my money back .

The property was nice and the beds were comfortable for a good night of sleep. The location of the hotel is difficult to access. The road is steep and climbing up to the hotel was difficult for our car.

There were some building works going on nearby which was noisy but when I mentioned it to the staff they got on the phone straight away and it quietened down. The rooms are quite small for two people but it was still good value for the money.

Beach nearby but no access except we met a property owner who let us pas through. Local restaurant does not appreciate walk through. Manager very helpful with private cab etc. Shared kitchen area nice and also large. No stove though. Nice Jungle space around facility. Very steep hill to navigate to property especially if walking. No siding on highway to walk safely. Was offered upgrade but no air conditioning in those rooms. Toilet are very tight as is rest of bath and shower. No shampoo or soap.
