- Nick (9/5): -
- XU (9/5): - 地理位置十分便利,室内基础设施相对完善并清洁整洁,工作人员沟通十分及时且有效 最好能跟预定者提前说一下楼下有人居住的事情,要不很有可能造成不必要的误会
- Molly (10/5): 11/10 - Honestly the best accom we have stayed in. It is comfortable, has everything you need, amazing views and close to the town. We will absolutely come back Nothing at all
- Fleur (9/5): We had a brilliant day and Moonhouse was the perfect spot … thank you so much to Andrew -
- Amanda (8/5): - Location is exceptional!
- Rob (9/5): We would stay in this property again - Location was great with a carpark included. Nice view and front deck with seating and table. Two toilets one seperate from bathroom. Kitchen and laundry were good. All round a nice property. It would be nice to have bedside lamps.
- Wojciech (10/5): -
- Kvalsvig (9/5): Would highly recommend this accomodation! Will be back again - Super comfy beds and a great location - walkable into town The door was open when we arrived
- Michelle (10/5): - Loved this place, location was great, nice big king beds and gorge balconies
- Ruth (9/5): Enjoy being in the heart of Queenstown - The location was superb - very central but just far back enough for a view over the lake. With two balconies to enjoy them.
Fishing gear and skis were provided (though we didn't use them). Excellent laundry facilities. Very effective blackout curtains in two of the three bedrooms. Finding the second balcony was a bit difficult.
- Shawn (10/5): Loved our stay here. - You cannot beat the location. Great view of the mountains, within walking distance to everything, and a parking spot! The patio furniture was a really nice addition to this space. The beds were so comfortable! Not much. Sometimes the doors don’t stay latched? Very minor.
- Jessie (10/5): Comfortable Family Stay in Queenstown - The house is a little older, but it was clean and very well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped. Having a bathroom with a toilet, plus an additional separate toilet, made it very convenient for our family.
We had the entire second floor to ourselves. Sitting on the sofa on the front balcony with a coffee and enjoying the lake view was absolutely lovely.
One hidden highlight of this place is the other balcony — sitting in the rocking chair there, we were able to fully enjoy the New Year’s fireworks at midnight, which was a really special experience.
Parking was available and the location was great — just a short walk to the main street. If we visit Queenstown again at the end of the year, we would happily stay here again. No major downsides.

- Martyn091 (8/5): - An olfer property but comfortable and excellent location for the kiwi park, skyline and town centre. Parking available and views of the lake. Monopoly, chess and playing cards to play. Needs a little tlc and attention to small details. The tin opener didn't work, mirrors hadn't been cleaned for a while, toilet seat loose and didnt stay up. We didnt need the third bed but was very solid and couldnt imagine sleeping in it at all.
- Nia (8/5): A great base to explore Queenstown and the surrounding area - Spacious and comfortable property, a short walk down to the bars and restaurants of Queenstown. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front deck watching the world go by, it was an ideal base for exploring the area. Andrew was a great host Not a dislike as such, but the path round to the larger deck was very overgrown, just needs the plants cutting back to make it more welcoming.
- Raychel (9/5): - Location. Comfortable beds.
- Julie (6/5): - Good house and great location.
Great outdoor areas. We landed in Queenstown at 9.pm. and unfortunately the owner didn't supply the door code. We had to wait at the airport messaging and ring until nearly 10pm to finally get code so we could get a taxi. Very stressful start to the holiday..
Not much inside such as no bedside tables or power points up real high and not near bed.
- Carol (7/5): An okay stay. - The location was pretty good although a bit uphill.
We kind of know this from other reviews. Walking distance to the town centre and skyline.
There was a spare mattress from the front bedroom that we were able to use.
1.5 toilet/ bathroom is convenient.
The owners and cleaners immediately responded when contacted. 1. The front bedroom was a bit musty we did not use it in the end
2. A really big issue was the lack of curtains in the kitchen and laundry area, which are facing the neighbours. We had to improvise and use the spare bed sheets available.
3. There is also no lock on all of the bedrooms, bathroom and the toilet.
I believe if the above are addressed, the property would be superb.
The wooden table was very very nice though

- Peter (10/5): Stunning views, great location, warm and cosy - Stayed at Moon House with a couple of friends and had a fantastic time. The location is great, just a short walk to the middle of town and close to bus stops that take you up to Coronet Peak and the Remarkables. The air conditioning warmed up the place quickly, which was perfect for winter. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the views from the balcony were absolutely stunning. Communication from the property was excellent. Highly recommend! Everything was great!
- Mia (4/5): - Location was good although I prefer to be further down the hill. Heating was good. Facilities were good for longer stays. My bedding was dirty with blood on the doona cover. When I contacted the owner, it took a while for a response. I tried messaging through here, calling the number provided and emailing. I was then told that because there is a flat sheet, the doona cover doesn’t have to be cleaned after each stay and that they ‘typically’ wash weekly. I asked for a new doona cover and was told they didn’t have spares. Eventually they dropped an additional flat sheet. I googled NZ laws and clean bedding must be provided so this was disappointing and disgusting
- Clarke (9/5): Great location. Cosy house. - Location, proximity to everything in Queenstown. Spacious. Cosy. Had everything we needed. Heating not extended to bedrooms.
- Caleb (10/5): Exceptional - Ample enough room for a total of 5 people, and a very cosy place to stay at. Amenities were well maintained and I would like to thank our host for reaching out and assisting us when we requesting for some help.
Being located within the radius of the city center, it is also extremely convenient to get to various attractions from this accomodation. N/A
- Terry (2/5): Very poor -
- Deseree (8/5): Great place, with awesome view - Location great, close to everything. The climb back up was a challenge, but we soon got use to it The shower rose needs fixing asap. My husband is tall and found the sliding shower head very difficult and uncomfortable
- Vanda (8/5): Loved eating outside on the terrace! - Excellent location with fabulous lake and mountain views especially from the terraces..
- Mark (1/5): Terrible value for money - N/A Broken toilet seat, broken shower head height akustment, broken smoke detectors, windows and doors not secure, sticky floor, kitchen fixtures and fittings very old and should be replaced, bbq had no gas bottle, property not being maintained to basic stds
- Allwood (7/5): Good -
- Anna (9/5): This place is just like the photos - simple but very comfortable. Incredible location, great value. - Amazing location
- Sivan (9/5): Superb - Super clean, the view is beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. Perfect for a stay in the city
- Katia (9/5): Wonderul place - We totally loved the house, the 2 terraces, the view. Excellent location - literally less than 5 min from the city center.
Andrew was amazing host, extremenely helpful and nice. We liked everything.
- Chopra (8/5): Very good - Location
- Jaclyn (8/5): Very good -
- Dale (7/5): Nice location and very spacious and clean - Location and space
2 outdoor areas
Good beds No bed side lamps in main bedroom
Inadequate towel rails
No power point in bathroom
- Sarah (7/5): Good location and great views - Good location close to town and amazing views. Two bedrooms comfortable
Good to have washer / dryer and kitchen facilities Third bed so uncomfortable
Would be improved with a few small things such as bedside lamps, better curtains in front room, tea towel to wipe dishes, clothes airer to avoid use of dryer
- Victoria (7/5): Clean and spacious property in a great location - The property had a lovely deck area with an amazing view of the lake and Queenstown, we enjoyed sitting out on the swing chair reading in the sun during the day and having a glass of wine on the night overlooking the view. The beds were also extremely comfy and the house was very clean. The location was great and was only a very short walk to the centre, which was ideal. Some aspects of the property were a little dated, but overall we enjoyed our stay. The shower head did not stay up and kept sliding down to a certain point. This wasn't great for us as we are both 6 feet tall, but we managed. I saw previous reviews before we arrived regarding the driveway and the possibility of scuffing the bottom of the car/bumper, this is definitely the case and happened to us, despite being careful and trying to re-manoeuvre the car, we couldn't avoid it as we were only in a small rental car that was quite low.
- Bryan (9/5): Superb - We appreciated the flexibility, locality and the ability to do our washing The only downside was a small thing but the toilet seat didn't stay up
- Carolanne (10/5): Great and would highly recommend - Most comfortable beds ever. Easy walk to town .
Great views. Shower rail needs minor adjustment.
- Samantha (8/5): Beautiful location and great stay - Great location, very large main beds, beautiful view and washing facilities. They allowed us late check out as well and were very friendly. The third bed was hard.
- Derek (9/5): Superb -
- Cheng (10/5): So good, feeling very happy - Both the location and the room equipment are perfect. No,everything is perfect
- Vicatini (9/5): Loved our stay here at Moon House - So close to town, quiet location and the beds were super comfortable. With 2 decks we were able to soak in the sun, or lose ourselves in a book and watch the sun come down. Across the road from a reserve so the kids were able to burn off some energy. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and hope to return.
- James (8/5): Very good - Great location, very close to town! Large space Unfortunately the toilets and bathrooms weren’t cleaned and the bin was still full from the last guests
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- Andrew (7/5): 4 Nights in Moon House - Great location short walk to town centre, with good views also.
Nice and clean with everything needed in kitchen and also had washing machine and dryer.
Nice to have a parking spot.also.
Enjoyed our stay here at Moon House. As it's an older place, you have to be careful opening some of the windows as the mechanism is wobbly.
- Gillian (8/5): Comfortable beds, spacious, great view, close to town centre, more an apartment than a house. - Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, good heating, very good quality linen in the bedrooms. Off street parking. The view is spectacular both day and night. The hillside houses light up like fairyland at night & there were snow-capped mountains during the day. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cutlery and all kinds of utensils, even an air fryer and a full-sized fridge. There is also a laundry with a good washing machine and dryer. The shower was quick to heat, high pressure and easy to get into. The host, Andrew was very helpful collecting a courier delivered parcel for us and leaving it inside for us to collect, thank you so much for that. No curtains on the kitchen window made the area seem too exposed. Overall the kitchen and lounge area felt sparse, mainly due to the polished floorboards & no rugs. I would have liked a cushion on the bench seats (at the dining table) as they were very hard to sit on for any length of time. The heating took quite a while to work out and the first night we relied on 2 small heaters to warm the place. I was very very cold that first night. The kitchen needed to be stocked with clean tea towels & fresh sponges for dish washing. This isn't actually a whole house, there is a flat/living quarters below, so it is more a 3 bedroom apartment.
- Tai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marziana (10/5): Exceptional - strategic location heater
- Joanna (8/5): Loved it ! Beautiful property and close to town and all the activities - It was nice , a lot of space , with heating/ cooling .
The location was fantastic!!! Close walking distance to everything . The two main bedrooms the double beds were very very comfortable ! Big kitchen area The third room with the single , and couch , was extremely uncomfortable very very hard . Could not sleep there and ended up sharing a bed with someone from the double bed rooms , in saying that , those beds were very very comfortable .
When it was time to check out at 10. The cleaner came at 9:50 and walked in and we felt very rushed to get out as it wasn’t 10am yet .
In saying this . I would recommend here and be very happy to stay here again , just constructive feedback :)
- Adam (8/5): Great property in an amazing location right in the heart of town - Great property in an amazing location good value for money (during ski season) and property is same as the photos The only negative is for elderly or sick people the walk up the hill maybe a little hard
- Aidan (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Sizeable space and great views. Would need More kitchen utensils (eg bread knife) and Baking trays for in house cooking
- Katherine (8/5): A fantastic "missing middle" in overpriced Queenstown. Affordable and comfortable for solo traveller - Comfortable older house with updated facilities. Good heater in living area and great hot water in shower. Amazing to have a balcony with lake view for this price point - I sat outside for a while but it was the middle of winter. Spotlessly clean and great communication from host Andrew prior to arrival. Everything was provided that I needed. Bathroom was a bit cold, could have done with a better heater. For me, the location was great because I walked from the airport bus at Steamer Wharf however it is a very steep hill and you need to be able to haul your luggage up some stairs too. But if you're driving or getting a taxi, then it's a short walk into town without luggage.
- Sarah (9/5): Our stay at Moon House was wonderful. Very comfortable. - Location was amazing. A two minute walk into central Queenstown, close to all the restaurants, ski hire shops, shops, cafes and the lake. Beds were extremely comfortable, house was warm (heating very efficient), bathroom a good size, kitchen well equipped. Car parking in the driveway. Andrew was very responsive to my questions. My daughter and I loved staying at Moon House and would love to stay again. Nothing. It was all great.
- Sharlene (10/5): great location , great stay , comfy house with everything we needed - location and house was great ! especially the sun decks everything was great
- Tanya (10/5): Breathtaking views from the moment you wake up and close to everything . Highly recommend - Spectacular views and located a very short walk into cbd Nothing
- Sharyn (5/5): With a bit of basic maintenance and attention to detail, would be a great property. - Great location, views, comfortable beds, shower. Wasn’t cleaned properly, bins overflowing on arrival, heating insufficient for the cold winter (we had to request extra heaters for the bedrooms/kitchen area), bathroom heater didn’t work, main heat pump works well but is noisy so cannot have it on overnight. No curtains in lounge area or kitchen, hence privacy was compromised and heat escaped. No electrical socket in bathroom, basic facilities lacking (no tea towels, bath mats, bins in bathroom or bedrooms) - very bare. Disappointing as the owner was pleasant and did try to improve things.
- Jeanette (10/5): The perfect - Perfect location within easy walking distance to the town centre. Parking space a real bonus for a stay in Queenstown.
Great views. Good outdoor areas with BBQ. Beds very comfortable. Well set up and very clean. The heater in the bathroom only blew out cold air. No problem in the summer months but bathroom pretty cold for a winter stay;.
- Kathy (9/5): Highly reccomend, would stay again. - The location was perfect. Close walking distance to everything you need in Queenstown. The beds were super comfy. TV had added extras. Plenty of towels and amenities provided. The view from the property was incredible. Having a parking space in the busy hustle bustle of Queenstown is super handy too. Lacking curtains in the lounge area by the front door for privacy. The heater in the main living area is quite noisy, could hear it from the bedroom with the door closed. These are only small points of feedback and did not affect our stay at all.
- Debfos (9/5): Superb - Awesome location!
- Naveen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jadyn (9/5): Superb -
- Reinier (8/5): Great location to explore Queenstown and rest and enjoy time away. - This property is located close to town, with easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, the lake, some attractions. The parking on site means you aren't hunting for parking spot. The home is an older style which has been updated. The kitchen is beautifully equipped for those who want to prepare their own meals (although no dishwasher). Inside is a great size table and two sturdy benches for meals. It has two lovely outdoor sitting areas with great views. The water is hot and copes with a families showering needs. The lounge has armchairs which are quiet low, they are comfortable but possibly not suitable for older people. One bedroom has two windows, the front one has a curtain but the side one does not. It may be something that will be added to provide privacy for the room's occupant for sleeping and changing.
- Leong (8/5): Over the moon, but needs some upgrades! - A really affordable option in the centre of Queenstown. The house is centrally located (2 blocks from Fergburger!) and offers free parking which can be a challenge in town. Large, comfortable bedrooms and beds, and all the facilities you need (full kitchen, Smart TV, washing machine and dryer) that work as advertised and 2 toilets. Great outdoor deck with fantastic views of the lake and the Remarkables, and in general can be a good spot to relax. Overall the house is a bit dated and needs a few touch-ups here and there. For instance, curtains for the living room and the spare room facing the street, and mini heaters for the individual rooms. The main heat pump in the living room can be a bit noisy for sleeping. There's a lot of unused space around, especially near the washing machine area.
Those with 2-wheel drive cars to the house should watch out for the driveway as it has a steep angle to go down. You'll most likely scrape your front bumper!
- Robert (10/5): An absolute gem in the heart of Queenstown - Fabulous deck with gorgeous views (see our photo), central location to walk to restaurants (we enjoyed Bluekanu very much) heaps of space; clean and well managed accomodation with parking onsite! If you prefer a small expensive luxury hotel room then perhaps this is not your style. Otherwise - don’t hesitate to book.
- David (8/5): Very good - Moon House was really close to downtown Queenstown with easy access. Having parking on site was as an added bonus given that finding a car park in Queenstown is more than challenging at the best of times these days. Moon House came with all the facilities you would expect. It was an ideal base for our family event at Frankton Cemetery. The owner was also most accommodating given the unanticipated changes to our requirements after I'd made the booking. Moon House is definitely on my radar for subsequent visits to Queenstown.
- David (10/5): Stylish, Perfect Location, The MOST Comfortable - The location is incredible, it was walking distance to everything in Queenstown. The house is beautiful, welcoming and had everything we needed. Waking up to the mountains views was absolutely breathtaking. The beds are SO COMFY we never wanted to leave. Nothing to add. It was all thought through.
- Nan (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and charming house
- Mandeep (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice place to stay.
- Eagle (8/5): Over the Moon. - Close to town, house was very comfortable, plenty of space, incl. Deck space. Great value for money.
- Michelle (10/5): 10/10 would stay here over and over again!! - the moon house was awesome!! Great size house with amazing views and super close to town!! The furniture was very comfortable and had all the amenities you need. This house is most certainly a home away from home and I highly recommend!! Also the owner was very accommodating!! Curtains need to be added to the front bedroom.
