• Shishir (8/5): I would definitely come back as it’s a prime location. - Everything was clean, the staff were professional and it was really nice to sleep on the tatami and the beds were arranged neatly before I even come to the room. I guess the onsen is smaller compared to a what they could have done as I have seen much cheaper hotels in kiso Fukushima having a bigger onsen. I guess if I have to be really picky I couldn’t find a sauna. It would have been definitely nice to have it. But maybe I missed it and couldn’t find it.

Spacious beautiful room, every thing is very clean, location just across the station, and staffs are lovely and helpful too 🥰 Noted that there is no curtain (i think?) so yeah not for those who want to sleep in, but otherwise it's amazing for its price range

• Munhoh (8/5): Plesant stay at Ryokan, with a modern twist, yet complete with traditional vibe. - The welcome tea was a pleasant surprise. The vibe was excellent, exceeded our expectations. The staff were very polite, friendly and tried their very best to make our stay comfortable. One of the ladies even took great care to dry our luggage as it was raining on our way to check in. The TV network was only available in Japanese.

• 장 (10/5): 가족 4명에서 숙박 (유아 2명 동반_ 5세, 2세) 매우 깔끔하고 조용한 일본의 숙소 - 1. 아침식사는 신청을 했었고, 2층에서 매우 정갈하고 깔끔하게 한국인 입맛에 딱 맞게 준비가 되어 있었습니다. 2. 추가적으로 밥이 굉장히 고슬고슬하게 정성을 들여 준비한 느낌이 있었습니다. 3. 방안에 공기는 3월 말 기준으로 서늘한 편이었고, 에어컨을 따로 틀지 않아도 내부 공기가 매우 쾌적했습니다. 4. 아이 2명 (5세, 2세)를 동반하고 숙박하였는데 너무 편안했고 직원들도 생글생글 웃으면서 대해줘서 너무 좋았습니다. 5. 마지막 긴카쿠 상점에서 10% 할인 티켓으로 기념품을 구매했고, 가격도 싸고 맛도 좋았습니다! 1. 딱 한 가지 아쉬웠던점은 아침 식사 장소를 정확하게 안내받지 못해 한 차례 확인 했던 부분입니다. 그 외에는 정말 모든게 만족스러웠습니다.

Highly recommended We stayed as a family for 3 nights. Japanese breakfast was tasty but would suggest having it for one morning. Both of my teenagers didn’t fancy in the second day.

Malgré une réservation tardive, nous avons eu une chambre magnifique, spacieuse, typique ryokan avec une belle vue sur une partie de Kyoto Le petit déjeuner est dépaysant et le service est top! Petit plus nous recommandons la privation du osen !

As privadas japonesas são maravilhosas e a banheira e chuveiro separados facilitam o uso pela família de 4 pessoas. Eu usei a estrutura do Sentō e amei!!!! Imperdível! O café da manhã tradicional é uma viagem cultural. Vale a pena! O cofre atrapalha pendurar roupas nos cabides do armário que já é bem pequeno. Sentimos muita falta de cabides nas paredes para pendurar casacos. Como estávamos em um quarto para família de 4 pessoas e no inverno, tornou tudo mais confuso para nós organizarmos.

• Saraswati (9/5): Comfortable, clean and well-maintained ryokan near Kyoto Station - The room was amazing. So comfortable, everything super clean and in good working order. I used the onsen every day and it was always clean and the water very hot and relaxing. We were also offered welcome tea and cookies upon arrival, which I loved. The amenities like shampoo, conditioner and soap were of good quality. They may have been understaffed, as we called to ask for cutlery and waited for 20 minutes. When no one came up, I finally went downstairs to get it. I don't mind going downstairs to get cutlery, I just would have liked a call back from the front desk letting us know there would be a significant wait before someone was able to come up with cutlery. Check in time (4pm) is quite late, and it would be great to have a later check out time with such a late check in time.

The sleep was very comfortable, the futons were soft enough, and the blankets were really warm. The staff had amazing hospitality and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to experience a ryokan. Was served kaiseki meals for dinner and breakfast, and the ingredients were all fresh (they had new rice, too!) Nothing - this stay was nothing short of amazing.

• Gary (9/5): A Once in a Lifetime Experience... But Just Once - To experience a range of Japanese experiences, one MUST try a Ryoken Onsen. The ones with natural hot spring Onsens tend to be far out of town. This one was less than 1 km from Kyoto Train Station. The set breakfast and Dinner were out of world experiences! The rooms are traditional with tatami mats and futons which are not laid out until the evening, so during the day, one can't actually lay on a bed and relax. This is in no way the fault of the hotel but if you do a lot of sightseeing during the day and want to come back to your room and plonk yourself down on the bed.... There is no bed! Or sofa!
