Guest Reviews
- Emily-hope (1/5): Awful - Nothing the property was not as described, unsafe, unhygienic, and unsuitable for guests.
This booking resulted in a deeply distressing experience, including what I would describe as abusive neglect of basic health and safety standards. The issues included:
• Unsafe electrics, resulting in my friend being electrocuted by a faulty light switch.
• Severe cleanliness issues, including towels with what appeared to be pubic hair, and visible mould in the bathroom.
• Broken windows, leaving the property exposed and insecure.
• Damaged cupboards and wardrobes, rendering basic amenities unusable.
• General disrepair throughout the property.
Despite raising these serious concerns with the host/property management, the only response received was that the property is “due for renovation”—a completely unacceptable justification for placing paying guests in a hazardous environment. We were not offered alternative accommodation or meaningful compensation, and the issues were not addressed during the stay.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good - Close to uni Upstairs flat could hear everything
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional - The property was really clean and cosy me and my children really enjoyed our stay here.
- Sally (9/5): The host was accommodating of a last minute booking! - Nice property - clean and comfy Nothing
- Kenny (8/5): Great location but water pressure needs to be fixed. - Property was amazing but had very little hot water. The pressure on hot tap is non existent Water pressure.
- Johnson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Smith (8/5): Very good -
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chai (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stuart (7/5): Good -
- Kelly (8/5): Home Away from Home - Location was 6mins away from where my son was trialling. Surrounded by great local shops for necessities. Quiet. Shower door came off on my foot was able to sort.
- Caitlin (10/5): Homely apartment - Well equipped, clean & home from home!
- Jazmin (8/5): Very good - Everything you need for a home away from home TV did not work and smell of foist is bad in kitchen cupboards
- Julia (4/5): Very dissatisfied - It was clean and in the location we needed to be. Bathroom to small. No space to dry off. Bath crammed into a small space. Door didn't open fully. Toilet seat all wrong. No mirror at all for shaving.
Double bed had broken slats under the mattress. No dpace to get in/out of bed comfortably. The flat felt damp throughout and our clothing felt damp. The heating worked effectively but you don't expect to put heating on in mid August.
Overall very dissatisfied as I sent 2 emails to try and speak to someone but no one responded.
I cannot recommend this apartment as too many negatives
- Mithun (9/5): Superb -
- Yolanda (8/5): Nice and clean apartment but quite expensive for such a suburban area and difficult payment procedures - good beds and bathroom. clean place and close enough to public transport. that you have to pay the full amount at booking time and the communication about security payment. My bank didn’t accept the link and I got reminders every day. finally booking.com in London intervened on the last day, but created stress.
- Zafran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Min (8/5): Very good - Professionally managed. Spacious, well renovated, not the most fancy street but in a safe area. Kitchen is well equipped (no dishwasher), enough cutleries and cooking utensils Washing machine doesn't smell clean. We didn't use it, for a short stay it's fine.
Very high ceilings so a bit hard to open all windows
Mattresses on the soft side.
All these points maybe people wouldn't mind at all, just wanted to point out I'm case someone do.
- Ukreg (8/5): All good, easy, worked well. Thanks ! -
- Penitence (9/5): Superb - Lovely setup, very clean
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Loved our stay here. It has everything you need for a nice comfortable stay. It was also lovely and warm and nicely styled.
We’re going to book for another visit we have planned coming up.
- Venkateshwaran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): lovely , spacious and had everything you need - it was a lovely property and great for what I needed it for as was visiting family few tweaks required but I’m guessing it’s not been on the go very long… very handy with self check in etc Really didn’t like the £250 deposit… what was going to be a reasonable £80 has turned into £330 granted I should get it back as I left the apartment basically as I found it… it’s the only thing that would put me
off booking again which is a shame because it’s something we would book quite often when coming to visit family….. maybe re look at the amount (just my suggestion)
- James (10/5): A great stay on our first trip to the UK - We really enjoyed our stay here. It had everything that we needed and was lovely & clean, warm and well presented. It was great that we could park right outside although there's actually a Metro Station very close by which was very convenient. The location is great and there is a good range of shops and restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Newcastle!
