• Foong (9/5): A great little stay for us and we will probably use this again if it is available - Very clean appartment which had everything I needed. Full kitchen facilities. A great liitle gym and swimming pool Finding the venue and locked box was not straight forward but OK. Would be good to have an image of the front door of the entrance.

• Rachel (8/5): Very kind and accomodating host, and perfect for what we needed. - Amanda who looks after it was really accomodating as we arrived early and she came to meet us and took us up to the apartment soe we could leave our luggage - even before it had been cleaned, I was a bit worried about ventilation in the bathrooms - there didnt appear to be a fan. And the hairdyer was extremely old and sounded like it might catch fire.

The location was beautiful, the faciites were great, the view of the city fantasic! The host so responsive will stay again was very humid and cooling upstairs didn't work overly well but may have just been because of the large amount of humidity around in the air. Location was great, close to lots of restaurants and cafes. Recommend Percy, great Spanish tapas. Very clean and spacious. Comfortable beds and great showers. Good security, felt safe. Great views, even watched fireworks on Saturday night. Perfect for a longer stay as good cooking facilities. A bigger carton of milk would have been appreciated. More tea bags as not enough for 3 people for 2 nights.

A shame the 3rd bed was the sofa pull out one, it was very hard to sleep on, perhaps a soft topper would have helped. There were 4 of us, 2 were not related & couldn't share a bed, so needed the sofa bed. The young ladies who made the beds up for us were excellent, very friendly & efficient.

• Luan (10/5): Amazing Stay! - This beautiful apartment exceeded our expectations. It was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable short stay. We absolutely loved our time here and would happily return in the future. The location is fantastic – within walking distance to many of Sydney’s top attractions and just a couple of minutes’ walk to the L1 light rail, making it incredibly convenient to get around. A special thanks to our host, Amanda, who was exceptionally responsive and helpful throughout our stay. She kindly accommodated an early check-in and allowed us to store our luggage, which made our arrival and departure seamless. Thank you, Amanda, for such wonderful hospitality!

The Oaks staff were very unpleasant and wouldn't let us store our luggage for 2 hrs before we had to head to the airport. This was very disappointing and cost us time and money to pay for secure lockers at the train station.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the modern design, the tasteful decor, and the abundance of natural light that filled the space. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The living room was bright and airy, with large windows offering spectacular views of Darling Harbour. The open-plan layout made it easy to relax and entertain, and the modern furnishings added a touch of elegance. There was plenty of space to unwind after a day exploring Sydney, and the living area seamlessly flowed into the dining and kitchen The kitchen was a highlight, with high-quality appliances and all the essentials for cooking. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like coffee pods, a selection of teas, and even some basics to get us started. It was so convenient to be able to prepare meals at home, and the setup was perfect for our needs. Both bedrooms were spacious, with incredibly comfortable beds and quality linens.The master bedroom had an en-suite bathroom, which was pristine and luxurious, while the second bedroom and bathroom were equally. The location couldn’t have been better. We were just a short stroll away from the heart of Darling Harbour, with its excellent dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Whether it was enjoying waterfront dining, exploring the nearby attractions, or even just taking a scenic walk, everything was at our fingertips. Plus, public transport options were close by, making it easy to get. The apartment was spotless, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into ensuring guests have a wonderful stay. Small touches, like local guidebooks, toiletries, and extra blankets, made a big difference. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, offering local recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed.

Amenities were in good condition. Beds were comfortable. Reasonably quiet for the area. Pool, spa and gym are wonderful. There was some water damage on furniture, kitchen and bathroom cupboards need replacing. Skirting boards need fixing and stairs need fixing and a coat of paint. The laundry liquid was empty.

• Moony (10/5): Perfect retreat for a night out in Sydney with 3 friends - Excellent location with easy access to this part of Sydney, great views, plenty of space for three solo travellers, two bathrooms was useful. Extra mattress if needed but the couch was enough.

• David (5/5): Basic rather than beautiful but was good for an overnight stay on a work trip - The apartment was simple and clean. The view from the lounge is a good one of Centre Point Tower and you can see parts of Darling Harbour, which is also lovely. It had separate bathrooms for the two bedrooms, which was welcome and appreciated. It may have been an oversight but there were tea and coffee making facilities but no milk on arrival. We arrived around 10pm and no shops were open nearby and it was an overnight stay. The apartment is simple but, as my colleague said, if the description says 'beautiful apartment' then chances are it wont be. It isnt terrible, its just not to the standard you may anticipate. The building itself is a little odd having been poorly converted from a wool store with a series of internal balconies for apartments - it was at one stage described by a fellow traveler in the lift as being 'like a prison'. You wouldn't like to be on a romantic weekend or a week away, but the apartment was fine for our overnight stay for work. Some of the rooms in the apartment are inward facing with windows to the corridor in the centre of the building, which is a little off-putting. There are also some interesting characters around the building and in the corridor, which can also be a little unnerving. We hoped to leave our bags with reception while we attended meetings but this wasnt possible as we had rented a private apartment and reception was for the apartments that belonged to The Oaks hotel only and concierge could not help - it would be great if an arrangement could be made with the building owner or hotel for this to be possible for private apartments. We ended up leaving them with one of our suppliers for the day while we attended other meetings. There is alot of noise from the freeway nearby overnight in the bedroom at the front of the building - it was a bit like white noise and if you can tune it out or embrace it you will sleep fine. It did have a good view of the city and some of the waterway though with the freeway off to the right and not in direct view. The owners were good to deal with and communicated well. Overall, its fine for a short/ overnight stay.
