Guest Reviews
- Aleš (10/5): -
- Tabitha (10/5): Amazing hostel! - Everything!!! It wasn’t high season so there weren’t that many guests but it was perfect for me. The common area is rlly great, the rooms are spacious, beds are comfy and showers are rlly good too! Amazing value for money!! The family are so welcoming, kind and helpful! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in such a cute village :) I absolutely loved it it’s a bit outside of the village but just a grab ride away so didn’t bother me at all.
- Tian Yan (10/5): -
- JuliusCapl (3/5): No esperaba mucho y aún asi decepcionado - Ducha: buena temperatura y presión La recepcionista: mujer muy desagradable, gritona y sucia.
El desayuno: realmente no vale la pena
La cama: había un plástico pegado al colchon que no pude mover además que las colchas no tienen funda, es como si el huésped que se va y huésped que llega usarán las mismas sábanas.
- Alexis (10/5): - Oh, I love cube dorms.
Host are really kinds and helpful. A bit far from the action of the town (either a plus or a minus)

- Jacek (10/5): - I had the chance to stay at Pea Hostel and I can honestly say it’s the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The atmosphere is amazing and from the very first moment you feel at home.
The owner and his wife are some of the kindest people I’ve met while traveling – always helpful, smiling, and truly caring about their guests. They give great recommendations about the area, including less touristy spots, which lets you discover the real side of Sapa.
The hostel has everything you could possibly need – from scooter rental, to musical instruments, to an Xbox, so there’s always something to do. On top of that, the beds are big and very comfortable, and the rooms are clean and well maintained, making it perfect to relax after a long day in the mountains.
This place is more than just accommodation – it’s an experience and people you won’t forget. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Sapa.

- Nicholas (10/5): Amazing hostel with kind staff and a very comfortable stay. - Amazing family-run business. Everyone was so helpful, kind, and supportive throughout my stay, which made me feel very welcome. Honestly, there was very little to dislike. The room was big, open, and comfortable, and it had the biggest bed I’ve ever stayed in at a hostel. They also helped me get to my next destination, which I really appreciated.
- Thu Hien (8/5): - Giường dorm chắc chắn, phòng cách âm tốt, dễ ngủ. Địa điểm xa trung tâm, phòng vệ sinh hơi bí, thoát khí chưa tốt lắm

- Romane (7/5): -
- Tekin (10/5): -
- Tammo (10/5): - Aufenthaltsraum super!! Betten gemütlich. Bestes Personal.
- Nicolaas (10/5): -
- NYARNADHAJHA (10/5): Sweet and nice trip - Family and friends No,
- Oded (10/5): WOW! - I broke my arm while traveling in the silver waterfall. The hostel owners were true superheros! Due, the owner, came in a car to pick me up and drove me to the hospital an hour away, stayed with me the whole time and help with translation. He and his wife Lynn took amazing care of me and I'm thankful for them. They are wonderful people.
The hostel itself is great. It's very clean and comfortable and they have a very roomy and comfortable common area with pool table, piano, guitar, TV and Xbox.
- Lê Sơn (10/5): tuyệt - Rất rẻ, rẻ nhất Sapa, bạn chủ rất vui và thân thiện. Chổ ở rất thoải mái. Có cây Piano, guitar...rất thoải mái ko
- Harrison (10/5): -
- Nuhuman (9/5): A Great Stay with Fantastic Amenities - I had a wonderful experience at this accommodation, largely thanks to the incredibly helpful host who made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The bed was exceptionally clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The common area was a major highlight. It was a great space to relax, and having a PlayStation 5 available was a fantastic bonus for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The only downside was the location. The main center is about 2 km away, which meant a bit of a walk or a short taxi ride to get to the main attractions and restaurants. However, if you don't mind the short distance, the excellent amenities and hospitality make it more than worthwhile.
- Karen (10/5): It was a great stay to chill - Hospitable people and kind. Very generous
The place is in a calm area a little bit far from the town center, but was not an issue because it is away from the crowded roads.
In my spare time i enjoyed the small library they have.
- giao (9/5): - Good 👍 sạch sẽ .
- Geetika (10/5): Simply great - I liked every thing about this place. Rooms and bed were comfortable. Common room is great to sit and relax
Food was delicious especially coffee
And the best part about this hostel is the family who is managing it. It was my first two days in sapa and i got very homely feeling Nothing
- Michael (10/5): Come to Sapa, stay here and you won’t regret it! - Staff went above and beyond to support me with booking my trekking activities and inviting me to family dinner.
Location is ideally situated a few strides walk from the busy, busking streets of Sapa, whilst close enough to enjoy some spectacular views of the surrounding rice paddies.
Access do the pool table and piano room in the common area creates a pleasant communal atmosphere. There is nothing that I could possibly suggest that would make my stay even better. The hostel is reasonably priced, well equipped with great facilities and ran by a warm, welcoming and friendly team who dis their best to make my experience as good as it could be.
- Neele (6/5): Pleasant - Its a really simple place, ok for one night Was not really social. Matress really hard and in the morning the street is really loud
- Tjard (8/5): Very good - Great family dinner. Helpful staff.
- Tunc (10/5): Exceptional - This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at! The owner is incredibly kind, cheerful, and always ready to help whenever you need anything. The staff are amazing and create such a warm atmosphere. It’s the only place in Sapa that truly feels like home — clean, peaceful, and quiet. No need to look anywhere else, just come here! Nothing
- Giulia (8/5): Very good - Nice hostel, the staff was really gentle and helpful, the position is fine however you need to walk 15 minutes to get to the town The bathroom has never been cleaned in 4 days I was there
- Nikhil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mules-kopae (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice clean hostel! Really friendly staff as well, would stay again
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Still in construction but very nice. They have pool table, piano, guitar and a great common area. Also good wifi. The owner Dúc, is very friendly. He made sure our stay was great. Overall very good experience, I can recommend.
- Nicole (9/5): Superb - Lovely room and family dinner! They were also really helpful for booking trekking tours and bus
- Joel (8/5): Very good - The piano and pool table and generally the social area was great. Showers separated from toilets and provided hot water. The owner could try not to shout at his employees.
Other then that. Perfect
- Poonam (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing Host-
Accommodative of early check in. My bus arrived 4.30am in the morning and they let me in.
Arranging the bus services and ensuring that I reach back safely.
Peaceful-
Stay is quite peaceful, no noise inside the hostel. Nothing to not like
- Matthias (9/5): Superb - Was one of the best hostels where I was. Hosts are very friendly and will help whereever possible.
Hostel was new opened 2024 september. Owner is checking all the time what He can improve. Dorm to the street is a little bit noisy, but owner want's to replace the Windows to the street in the next time (march 2025).
All the time hot water in the shower.
Only 5-10 minutes walking to the centre of the town.
Very good value for the money.
- Madeleine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anja (10/5): Amazing and comfortable stay - The kind of hostel that thinks through what a backpacker needs!
Spacious beds, curtains, locker (both for backpack and a small separate one), towels, etc. Even with a late checkin, I was welcomed warmely and even offered food as I „must be hungry after such a long bus ride“. Your wishes are really read of your lips in this hostel.
The owner is increadibly nice and cheerful. I really wish him only the best and much success in the future! 😃
- Gattyan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerard (8/5): Very good -
- Annabell (10/5): Exceptional - I really like this place, it meets all my needs, the bed is spacious and comfortable, there is a heating system in the cold winter, the host is enthusiastic to help you with everything, moreover there is a common living space such as billiards, bar, piano, draft beer, worth the money
- Imogen (7/5): Good - Friendly and helpful staff
Cosy beds with warm, thick blanket and electric mattress topper to stay warm at night - makes all the difference Couldn’t get shower warm enough despite being told hot water is available
- Isabella (9/5): Superb - The heated blanket per bad was just essential for the weather, without it the night would have been terrible.
The place is pretty spacious, and the beds are comfortable for asia standards (at least I feel there's a difference for the mattress preferences around).
Also, for the first time, my backpack could fit the locker without a struggle haha It can be a little bit loud cause of the street it's located at. There's a constant traffic of buses and bikes and the classic honking all the time.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - The owner, Duc, is genuinely one of the nicest hosts I've met. What a great guy - very helpful indeed. Aside from the fact that this hostel is excellent value for money, all the additional services he provides (onwards bus tickets, laundry service, tours) are priced very fairly too. So often it feels like hostels are taking the piss with the commission they add, but not here. I accept that people need to make money, but Duc really got the balance right, and nothing was too much trouble. He even gave me change from the rate per kg for laundry when mine was under a kg - that has never happened before anywhere in over a year of traveling, and I really appreciate it.
The beds are very comfortable, and have heated pads on the mattresses. It's cold in Sapa, and Pea Hostel is no exception, but this meant that the beds were cozy and warm - I actually turned mine off in the night because it got a bit too hot (for me).
There's a pool table downstairs, which is well looked after, so you can actually get a good game, and it's free to use.
I read a few people saying it was a bit far from town or you need a scooter to get in and out of the centre,, but it's literally just a 10 minute walk right to the night market - and to be honest the town is so busy that I appreciated being slightly out of it - Sapa can be pretty hectic at times!
The showers were some of the best I've seen in a hostel in Asia - or anywhere really - high pressure, good and hot (and plenty of them - I didn't have to wait once!). They also get all the basic stuff right, so, for example, you get a towel when you arrive, and there is always toilet roll in the bathrooms. So many places manage to screw that up, and it really makes a difference to your comfort. It was all great.
- Kim (10/5): I was lucky to come to Sapa during Tet, had a wonderful experience, the host was hospitable and I got to eat traditional - The hostel provides everything you need, the fanxipang climbing tour is very cheap
- Nick (9/5): Superb -
- Clifford (10/5): Exceptional - Clead room, good price, very enthusiastic receptionist, i like the pool table. I just stayed there and left. Sapa too cold
- Cole (10/5): Everything good. But sapa is cold -
- Clifford (10/5): happy vibes - The heated blankets, the clean showers, the lovely and readily available staff, access to balcony with great view, next door to a delicious pho restaurant, grocer, and pharmacy ~ a little bit away from the main city but perfect as its a bit quieter nothing, love this place
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional - The newly opened hostel has many amenities such as billiards, piano, 2 guitars for you to explain, from the hostel to the center about 700m, new bed, clean, the host is very enthusiastic to help answer questions, there is a daily walking tour, or if you want to climb Fansipan mountain, the price is much cheaper than outside, but if I can go back to Sapa, I will choose to go in the summer, warmer and there are rice fields, I will definitely come back to Pea hostel again, believe me, it will not disappoint you Nothing
- Faisad (10/5): Exceptional - I don't usually write reviews but man was I taken care of!
The hostel is beautiful! The people are amazing!!! Every request I had was taken care of! The hotel manager, Duc was so delightful! I have ZERO complaints! The brekky was delicious! I will defo come back
- Lou (9/5): Superb - The place is great and a bit decentralised so it’s quiet, the community space might be one of the best I had in hostels, the people working here are very nice and chill! It’s a bit to cold in January, there are heating bed so it’s very nice to sleep but otherwise in the hostel it’s kind of the temperature as outside
- David (10/5): Clean house, everything is new , there is a piano, pool table and draft beer - Is a great place, friendly host Nothing
- Rafael (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (8/5): A warm bed is waiting for you here 😊 - I came from bus at 1.30am and I could easily go to my dorm which was great 👌
The bed was very comfortable with heating mat ♨️
The staff was here to help if needed 👍 My shower was cold… but it was 2am 🤷♀️
I regretted that no breakfast was included (i think that 2 eggs, bad slice of bread and 1 coffee for 50k dongs is too expensive for what is worth. But I was hungry 😢)
- Guy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vijay (10/5): Exceptional - This Hostel has Everything you need and more, The staff & owner is super friendly about the guests. really enjoyed my stay, ..recommended Hostel Building..
- Jong (10/5): convenient about 5 minutes walk from the center, the house is quite new and clean, cheap but I feel like a luxury hotel, - convenience about 5 minutes walk from the center, the house is quite new and clean

- Đức (10/5): Exceptional - Not too far from the center, we can walk.
The heating pad is wonderful. weather
- Elisa (8/5): Very good - The host was very welcoming and invited us for dinner in the homestays. Thank you!
It's not exactly in the center of Sapa but it was not a problem at all, you can walk everywhere. The beds are double and very comfy. The hostel is new so I think they are still working on it.
- Sommart (10/5): Exceptional - Staff very friendly I’m forgot his name from Myanmar good service, bedroom very clean blanket smells great, value of money.
- Lucas (9/5): Superb -

- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. You can hire scooters directly with the hostel which is great.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious and brand new hostel, away from the overly touristic buzz of the center. The owner, Duc, is so welcoming and eager to help with trekking and travel arrangements! The dorm is big with super comfy beds (reeeally comfy beds). You can have a delicious dinner with the family for a very reasonable price, which is a fantastic way to taste good local food and meet other travellers! Definitely recommend this hostel!!
- Ronan (10/5): Exceptional - Owners are really friendly and welcoming ! They gave us a lot of tips to visit Sapa. The bedroom and showers are really new and good!
I definitely recommend this hostel. Line is an amazing chef, the dinner we shared with them and other backpackers was worth it. I recommend it.
- Myriam (10/5): Exceptional - I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The hosts are incredibly kind and always attentive, ready to meet any needs. The hostel itself is fantastic: there are lockers available, as well as towels, shampoo, and shower gel. The bedding is top-notch, with thick blankets for maximum comfort. The bathroom area is spacious and well-maintained, and everything is designed to make you feel comfortable and make your stay easier. There’s also a lovely garden, perfect for relaxing. I highly recommend this place 100%
- Nathaniel (7/5): Good -
- Michael (8/5): ok - Nice people, a good Yamaha Piano, spacy shower, locker with key; billard location low, some distance to restaurants; access to bed from the small foot side, light in toilet/bathroom with short timer; no guest kitchen
- Bailey (10/5): Highly recommended! - Linh & duc run this place and they are so friendly, happy to help with any needs or questions you may have and they are very accommodating! The place itself is clean and tidy and it is such great value!
- Pranay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jazmine (10/5): Exceptional - it was so comfortable and the staff were the friendliest people ever !!! made us feel so welcome and looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed and let us borrow extra thing (jacket, warmer blankets etc) without expecting anything. also had a pool table. nothing it was a lovely stay
- Calum (10/5): Exceptional - Duc is an awesome host, made everyone feel at home. Nice social space downstairs with pool table and beer on tap.
- Claudia (10/5): Awesome new hostel in Sapa :) - I had an awesome experience at Pea Hostel 😄 From the moment I arrived, the owner Duc and his wife Linh and the staff were really welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home 😊
The dorm has a lot of space and the beds are nice and comfortable. The common areas had a relaxed vibe, perfect for meeting other travelers!
The location of the hostel is a bit out of town but still in walking distance or you can just get a grab (taxi) to Sapa town.
What stood out the most was the sense of community and the effort the staff put into making every guest feel included. Also they help you with ideas what to do in Sapa and it's possible to book tours, buses, scooters and more with the hostel 😄
Big recommendation to book that place if you want to have a great stay in Sapa 😋
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional - all was perfect
hostel is very own
and the host are so nice
dont hesitate and book for pea hostel ! nothing
- Tamzid (10/5): A gem of a hostel - This brand-new hostel offers a spotless and inviting atmosphere. The friendly host, Duc, went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. He helped me book tours, bus tickets, and bike rentals, making my trip seamless. The common area, complete with a piano and pool, was a delightful space to relax. Duc even extended a warm invitation to his family's homestay for dinner. Pea Homestay is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Vietnamese experience.
- Omri (10/5): Nice owners, good facilities, clean and comfortable - In the lobby there is a piano and a pool table, they offer coffee, food, they can book bus rides and trips around sapa. The place is very clean and the owners are super nice and caring. I highly recommend this hostel! A bit outside of town
- Sophia (10/5): One of my favorite places to stay in Vietnam!! - Friendly family-run hostel in Sapa! I stayed here when I first arrived in Sapa, they accepted me even though my bus was late. When I ended up coming at 4am, someone was waiting for me and showed me to my bed, I couldn’t have been more grateful! The location is good as well, only 15 min walking from the bus station. The dorm was simple and clean, there are bunk beds, privacy curtains, sockets, lights, fans and lockers for each person. The bathroom was clean as well, the showers were hot with great water pressure. Downstairs they have a piano and a pool table for socializing. Also, there is a really nice garden where you can hang out and even have a BBQ! They rent out motorbikes (scooters), and can organize bus tickets and tours. Would recommend if you want to stay in a classic hostel! Later I moved to the more quiet homestay run by the same family, also a great experience!
- Pleirens (10/5): Enjoyed my stay here very much - This hostel has everything you need and more! The owner is super friendly and cares about the guests. I would not want to stay anywhere else if i come back in Sapa!
- Maximilian (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was amazing, the Family hosting the hostel is great, couldnt have booked a better stay! 100% recommended, i would come back to Vietnam Just for them!
- Ofek (5/5): Ok for the price. - Good price, beds were comfortable and toilets were clean. In the morning there were people running, laughing and screaming in the room from 7am which was very annoying. We told the owner and she said "it's a holiday, we can't do anything about it". Very unhospitable of her...
There were hundreds of bugs in the room at night, they leave all the doors and windows open all day.
Location pretty far from the city and the way is up hill.
- Daniel (10/5): This was a wonderful holiday playing piano everyday . - I loved the piano. The high tech showers. The garden. The staff. The space and the location Nothing
- Aiyax (10/5): If you are looking for the place you want in your imagination, this is it.If you like to play the piano , yeah there is -
- Feline (10/5): So lovely! Good vibes, location, and staff! - This is definitely the place to stay in Sapa ❤️ The staff is really lovely and the hostel is owned by the nicest family! The hostel has a great setup with a cool court yard, common spaces, and nice balconies! The beds are very comfortable, and the location is nice because it’s not in the crazy center of Sapa.
- Dieter (9/5): Superb - as it is a new hostel its a work in progress. the host is very helpful and open to new ideas. really enjoyed my stay. RECOMMENDED!!
- Ash (10/5): One stay is not enough. I should have stayed longer. - It's like how you see it in the picture. The view is breathtaking. I loved everything about this place.
- Kyra (10/5): Lovely stay at Pea hostel! - Had a great time at this beautiful new hostel. It's near to Sapa city center and the owners - Linh and Duc - are so friendly and will do everything to make your visit worth it. I definitely recommend this place!
