Guest Reviews
- Grace (5/5): A great flat in a handy location with amazing pizza parlour across the road - Great location and friendly reply to my messages. Spacious bedroom and lounge. The flat wasn’t very clean and I had to clean it before my family could come in. Not enough towels. TV not working.

- Danail (1/5): Do not stay ther by any reason!!! - I am using Booking for many years and have travelled the whole Europe. I have never met worse place to stay! It was dirty and old flat. Beds were covered with dirty sheets. No towels, no soap or dushe gel. Awful altitude from the host. We had to leave and book other property.
- Mickkerr (1/5): Budget accommodation at best - Do Not Stay Here - NOTHING...this is below budget accommodation. I wonder if this review will stay? 🤔 BEWARE!! Disgraceful accommodation....wouldn't put a dog on that couch.
This is below budget accommodation, do no stay here. I had to find emergency alternate accommodation as I couldn't let my children sleep on the stained couch bed (see photos). We left immediately the next morning and have been refused a refund. This is a disgrace to have such poor standard accommodation on booking.com.
I have been using booking.com for years for all my travel accommodation needs, very disappointed with this and their response to it.

- Paul (6/5): Pleasant - Very nice kitchen/living room space. The bed was very comfortable. The main door lock needs to be fixed. I spent several minutes each time trying to get the door open. Very frustrating. Also, the bathroom, while it looks nice, is totally impractical. The sink is too small and oddly positioned. The mirror is too small. No door on the shower stall. The light never worked - maybe the bulb(s) burned out. One of the small shades on the front window was missing; people walking by could just look in.
- Robyn (7/5): Good -
- Keith (3/5): Poor -
- Duffy (10/5): The host was very accommodating and quickly replied, this is my second time staying here and will definitely be back as - It’s feels like home Nothing was perfect for my stay
- Jennifer (6/5): Pleasant -
- Caroline (6/5): Wasn’t as pictured - dangerous bathroom - The Kitchen and Bathroom are nice to the eye. The bed was comfortable. Quiet location. Lots wrong with it. I would consider this property dangerous.
Door locks not good but pre-warned - need replacing as quite a struggle.
Boiler wasn’t working until I messaged and realised I had to hit a ‘reset’ switch. Then couldn’t turn off. An instruction booklet would be helpful.
TV remote didn’t work. Simply indicated the batteries must’ve gone. Long night with just BBC Ireland if we couldn’t cast Netflix!
Sofa isn’t massively comfortable either.
Leak under the kitchen sink.
Now the bathroom! Lovely on the eye but light wasn’t working. Had a shower in the morning. After could hear lots of water after shower switched off. Then from the lounge could see bathroom light came on by itself!!!
Upon inspection - water was dripping out of the electrics and running down the light cord.
Oh and bathroom door has been broken into so no latch to close door even if there was a light to be had.
I am not normally as on the level with my reviews, this seems harsh but it really isn’t at all.
Take a look at photos - unable to upload videos so screenshot water drip on bathroom cord.
Water and electrics are not a good mix!
- Malak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (9/5): Lovely accommodation and excellent support from host. - Dog-friendly. Spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money. Parking at rear. Very good facilities. Bus stops outside - great for travel. Range of shops across the road, plus a pizza place and a Subway. Excellent communication from host throughout. Door locks need replacing - far too fiddly, although the host explained this and the keys did work eventually!
We couldn't get the TV remote to work - stuck on BBC1 all evening!
- Tara (9/5): Superb - Very cute decor and clean Not ideal for a group as the bathroom has a floor length window opposite shower!!!!
- Kathleen (2/5): Very disappointed - Kitchen was clean & bathroom also. Very difficult to locate with a young family. Sofa bed disgusting. Stained and filthy. Double bed covered in hairs. Music blaring upstairs from 12-4 & then inappropriate noise from then on for a family to listen to. Very disappointed.
- Mac (10/5): Great trip I booked this place as it was close to the city centre - Was close to everything by car lovely host as well excellent communication also very well clean establishment comfy beds nice little supply of snacks and lovely coffee you should book this for your next trip 😁
- Michael (5/5): OK - The price, and the parking. The door locks was described as a bit fiddly, that is an understatement. There may have been a knack to it, but we never worked it out, taking anything from a few seconds to minutes to unlock the front door. This appears to have been an issue for months. Please spend a few pounds and get it sorted out for future guests.
The broadband did not work. This had been reported in previous feedback. I call the owner who apologies, said it had been fixed and would call an engineer. There was no working TV either as it relied on the broadband so it ended up fixing it myself. The broadband was cable (like TV used to be in the 80s) connected using coaxial cable to a splitter, then to the router. The wiring was a complete mess so I ended up bypassing the splitter and it came to life.
The entire flat felt a bit grubby and tired like it needed a good clean and refresh.
One of the dining room chairs had a screw missing attaching the legs so I ended up flat on my back when trying to sit on it.
The parking was OK, luckily we were the only ones there, but it could have been tricky if other cars were there as it would be easy to block one another in.
- Russell (6/5): Nice place for Belfast sights - Nice apartment Water leaks
- Doug (4/5): Disappointing - Location and facilities good Front door didn't lock buzzer going off permanently, lock on loo door along with frame broken, chair had screws missing so I ended up on the floor, blind missing off window, pity as flat is very nice but it's not being properly maintained
- Duffy (10/5): Close to all amenities and clean and comfortable will definitely be back - Loved how homely it felt, only thing I would ask is that a hair dryer is put into it but everything else was great Nothing
- Jane (7/5): Good stay would recommend.
Beautiful building - Facilities were excellent
Perfect location WiFi would not work
Keys to doors not working well, sticking
Sofa bed requires cleaning, large stain visible
- Fernando (1/5): Bad - Very very Dirty, i don’t see never in my life one apartament’s like this, smell very bad Weed, and the picture’s from booking it’s very edited, i ask my money back, and the owner refused to givme my money back Very very Dirty, i don’t see never in my life one apartament’s like this, smell very bad Weed, and the picture’s from booking it’s very edited, i ask my money back, and the owner refused to givme my money back
- Warren (4/5): It was a shame there were issues with the apartment otherwise would be a good base for a stay in lov - The location was good. A bus depot was just outside the door. Supermarkets, eateries, pharmacy etc all within walking distance. Even though set on a busy road with the double glazing road noise was at a minimum. More attention to the cleanliness of the apartment would have been good. WiFi would not work. TV stations were limited and the reception was patchy. Three lights did not work. The front door as well as door into apartment were difficult to unlock. Smelly drains. Leaking under kitchen sink. Washing machine working but mould around rubber of machine.
- Donna (7/5): Only a few minor issues but have paid the same or less for a better experience in the same area so was disappointed over - Overall the apartment is comfortable and in a great location. I experienced issues with the heating and due to the locks needing work / replaced I was locked out of both the building and the apartment for up to half an hour. The parking behind the building was adequate but my car was blocked in by other vehicles a few times having to wait up to an hour to leave.
- Denise (7/5): Good -
- Eamonn (10/5): Great Apartment 👍🏻 - Great wee apartment, cosy and warm. Bus stop to the city just outside the door, £10 in an uber, shops and cafe across the street. Id definitely stay here again. Great communication from the host.
- Mcdonnell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aleksandra (8/5): Overall I enjoyed my staff thank you - Close to centre , plenty of shops nearby Just the locks were really hard to open I struggled opening took awhile to figure it out
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - It had everything you could need with full kitchen a full size cooker with oven Tv had loads stations on it . It was spotless clean, I felt like a home from home It had a cozy feeling. Nice big windows facing out onto the main road. It was extremely quiet at night . I met one of the neighbors on their extremely friendly it seems like a lovely area. The bathroom was a little bit on the small side Little bit hard to get in and out of the toilet as I have mobility problems
- Shaojuan (7/5): Good -
- John (7/5): Would stay again 😁 - Good location, ground floor, clean and comfortable
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional - The host was quick to answer. Great value for money and very clean in the inside. Shops right out the front etc. will definitely be back again. Nothing everything perfect.
- Sundeep (1/5): Worst experience (had to make alternative arrangements). Important: Pls check the photos - We faced an issue on the 3rd day of our stay. The owner had requested us to allow some work to happen at the property, which we agreed to, as we had planned to go out and come back in the evening. To our surprise when we came back the bathroom door was dismantled and we had to find an alternate accommodation, as we were not willing to continue at this property given the state in which it was left. To our surprise the owner started defending their case stating that it was not a hotel and we can't be expecting such issues to be resolved immediately and the issue was directed to us stating that we allowed them to do the repair whilst staying there, which I thought was a weird way of bouncing the issue around..we had to move out as we were unwilling to stay at a property that thought it was ok to leave the property in that state and expect the guest to be understanding of the issue. We didn't sign up for this experience. Imagine if you had to find an alternate arrangement at 11 PM at night. Will never recommend this property. Have enclosed images for reference!
Update: Pls look at the response from owner. When there is work happening at a property, isnt it the responsibility of the owner to provide the services promised (which includes bathroom in a usable condition). We returned that night around 10:30 PM, messaged the owner about the conditions of the property. How am I expected to continue my stay at a property which doesnt provide the basic service that is expected.
Update(after 1.5 months of follow-up): Booking.com refused to help, as the owner declined to refund the amount, which obviously is not a surprise(inspite of providing of providing the proofs of their bad service). Pls be careful while booking anything on booking.com(they just act as a postman).
- Louise (9/5): Great, clean and comfy - Bed was really comfy It was had to get in the front door but it’s a communal door so it can’t be helped
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was gorgeous and location was very close to the city. Demi was very responsive and helpful. We had a very comfortable stay 😁 Maybe a welcome pack with information would be good?..
- Matthew (4/5): Location only thing going for it. - Bed and sofa bed were dirty.
Bedsheets hadnt been changed since last booking was in.
Sofa bed had wet stains on it and apartment smelled of grease. Friend had to sleep on the floor.
Neighbour was blasting music until 3am to the point it vibrated the whole apartment.
If it wasnt for the location and its close proximity to new lodge would not have stayed here.
- Fiona (10/5): Definitely recommend and use again in future - Location brilliant, everything you needed was there, though we didn’t cook if you had wanted to, kitchen fully equipped. Handy to have few shops beside you and we enjoyed beautiful breakfast in cafe opposite. Hosts great ☺️ as was decor Only a minor thing, did have difficulty with key to open door, host had explained this to us so knew we’d just had to play about with it and we’d get it
- Liam (7/5): Good -
- Anastasios (5/5): I wouldn’t pay more than £50 per night - Very warm Main door and apartment door needs effort to open
No lights
If you come late and you are first time visitor it is a challenge
- M (8/5): Very good -
- Tighe (2/5): Very poor - Very overpriced for what it was. Bed was uncomfortable and I felt a bit unsafe. Apartment had upstairs neighbours and in the morning two men were sitting smoking outside our window for an hour and he had a drink in his hand at 9:30 in the morning. As we were leaving we got in the car and the man gave us death stares. I also felt instructions could have been better I had to call the lady but she did call me back quickly. Bus stop is right outside door which is handy for people. But overall very overpriced for one night with such a small bedroom and uncomfortable bed and not feeling the safest.
- Colin (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Very excellent facilities and apartment details where above my experience normally. Parking around the back was good 👍 Hopefully will return soon. Pub food just down the road. THE Chester bar Could not get the coffee machine to work.
- Paul (10/5): Highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Belfast. - Cheery, warm apartment.
Quiet.
Safe convenient car park at rear of property.
Washing machine was much appreciated.
Location to city was perfect.
Bus stops to and from
city were outside our door.
Shops opposite were so helpful.
Host was a prompt and excellent communicator.
- Wing (4/5): Disappointed - No breakfast taken No central heating as night time was cold. Owner came on complaint, butdidn fix it as radiator still not working.
- Farrukh (10/5): Great value good space free parking - Very good location, free parking Amenities like shower gels were running out
- Anna (2/5): Horrible - Area was great.
A bus ride from outside the Door to the City. The front Door lock was a nightmare at the main entrance. I checked back on reviews to see that this problem has been on going for many many months. You had to keep Jiggling the key to open Door sometimes it took 15 minutes to get it open .
Very very stressful.
Also linen was left for us to use for the Sofa bed which we couldn't use as the duvet cover and pillow cases were used and not washed. Shame on you.
Horrible Damp Smell in hallway where washing machine is situated as it has repeatedly leaked and the wooden floor is lifting.
Stains on Sofa.
All wooden floors need to be replace, all marked and worn. .
There was a food press with leftover food which was dirty.
Also oven and trays were used by previous tenants and not washed. Grease and crumbs in it.
Private car park out back but not numbered ,rather difficult to know which one was ours.
Bathroom was a joke.
Big gap between sink and wall which is disgustingly dirty.
No hooks for towels
No shelf to put toothbrush or toiletries on.
Part of lock on Bathroom Door pulled of and if you closed Door it got stuck.
No head board at back of bed and the wall was a Disgrace.
Paint falling of wall in Bedroom.
- Daniell (5/5): Passable -
- John (8/5): Great value for money - Great location easy to find
Close to family so added bonus All was fine
- Precious (7/5): Good - I loved the location and how clean and tidy the apartment was I couldn’t access the heater and the internet connection which wasn’t fault to me and when I tried to contact the host I couldn’t reach her on time to know how I can operate this service. The time I received a reply from her through an email since she couldn’t pick up my calls I have already left the premises and my children will have to stay on the cold till we left.
- Lee (9/5): A short stay, with a nice park, and nice fish and chip shop nearby. - Nice and spacious
- Libby (10/5): Good value for money - Lovely apartment, good location.
- Jay (7/5): Good -
- Catherine (8/5): Convenient for Short Stay. - Easy to get to from the Belfast ferry.
Instructions to access the apartment clear.
Loved the chocolate bars left for us.
Great pizza shop across the road.
Ground floor apartment TV reception wasn't very reliable.
Parking was at the rear of the building but no easy access directly from the building, so you needed to walk a few minutes with your luggage.
Bathroom very small.
- Jennifer (8/5): Great apartment in a convenient location - The location was good and the apartment was clean. Great kitchen to make meals and easy communication with host. Parking at the back was very convenient. The bathroom is small, but fine for a few nights stay.
- Benard (4/5): Disappointing -
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Spacious place. Close to the bus stop
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (5/5): Passable -
- Van (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (1/5): This unit on the ground floor should not be listed. It is sub-par to any other unit I have stayed. - Nothing. The location was just okay. It's located on a very busy street and the parking was behind the building around the corner. The apartment shouldn't even be listed on Booking. It's that bad. The floors, tile, cabinets are a mess. They must have been installed by someone with no knowledge or experience. The are coming apart. The bathroom sink was unnecessarily tiny and the mirror also small and too low. The faucet not stationary. The bedroom headboard was marked and the window blind wand broken. The washing machine was dirty as was the floor around it. The closet it was in was unnecessarily cluttered. The floors in the living space were warn and coming apart. The sofa appeared dirty. The table and chairs flimsy. The baseboard under the kitchen cabinet fell off. The pictures attached are incapable of showing the condition of this apartment.
- Vanessa (10/5): Perfect little apartment for 2 people , about 10 min drive main part of Belfast. Was clean , cosy and great facilities! - Great apartment N/A everything was fine
- Bahirah (8/5): Very good - The emplacement, the window The toilet can’t flush well, so it block easily.
The parking on the back have only an emergency door for access, so you need to turn around the whole block of houses to enter in the building.
- White (8/5): Very good - Apart from there being no toilet brush and no washing up tablets.
It was fine.
- Tina (7/5): Great value for money. Will stay again! - Overall good value for money.
Lots of space. Warm. Parking was secure.
Good selection of refreshments. The lock on the front door was very difficult to open and needs changing.
The mattress was a little hard.
- Mohd (8/5): We had a nice stay, thank you! - Clean and comfortable. Location is great with on site parking. Couldn't get TV to work properly.
- Andrea (9/5): Great apartment in good location - Nice spacious living area. Problem with key making it difficult to open door to get in .
- Grace (9/5): Lovey stay, comfy bed - Lovely little home, nice and clean and tidy, smells nice too. Comfy bed. Bathroom smelt a litte damp. No storage in bathroom to pop down toothbrush etc.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - The location was fantastic, very easy to find
- Donna (5/5): We got the keys from the box ok but we were standing on the door at 1am after travelling 3 hours a d - We got the keys from the box ok but we were standing on the door at 1am after travelling 3 hours and the key would NOT work in the door. I was told it was "fidly" I can assure you it was not fidly it simply did not work. Only for somebody finally buzzed us in from the inside we would not have gotten in.
- Gabaxii (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Great Apartment. All you need for any trip. - Beautiful apartment. Very clean. Great location 10 mins from City Centre.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb - Great space, comfy bed and so cozy. Perfect for a couple Locks were a bit fiddly but nothing to stress about. Tv was a little small but also not much of a stress
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leeparkes (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (7/5): Good - Property was convenient for our stay and host was very helpful Property could have been a little cleaner and the chairs at the dining table were very wobbly
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - Location Space between shower and toilet cubicle.
- Adriana (9/5): Superb - Yes, very nice place
- Susanne (2/5): Not for for purpose. - I want a refund. First the lock on the front door took ages to unlock. From all the marks I think I wasn't the only one who struggled with it. There was rubbish on the sidewalk as well. The apartment is utilitarian which is ok but there was NO HEAT and the day, and especially the night was very cold. I rang the owner and we did a FaceTime call that resulted in the boiler coming on but it turned off again in less than five minutes.i did the prescribed process several more time with the same result. I had a reservation for dinner for 19:00 and had to leave so I texted the owner and requested that he come while I was out to address it. He texted back to say it wasn't possible and he couldn't get a plumber at that time either. As a result, when I returned @midnight II had to fold the duvet in half and put my coat on top. But even then I kept waking up with the cold. There was no hot water to shower. A coffee machine but no capsules so I had to get coffee across the street when they opened. There were no electrical strips so lamps had to be unplugged to use the outlet for charging phones. There wea no place to hang wet coats.. The TV wasn't set up. The listing made no note of the apt being located on a heavily trafficked noisy road, and incorrectly stated that it is 2.5km form the city. It is 3.5miles. I ended up leaving Belfast much earlier than I had intended due to lack of sleep. This was a very unsatisfactory experience. I manage 6 BnBs in Clare & Tipperary and I would never leave guests 'out in the cold'. This apt is not up to standard. See above. The only thing positive I can say is that the inside of the apartment was clean.
- Hayley (10/5): Lovely wee apartment - Clean Handy
- Mandi (5/5): pleasant could have been better - nice apartment good layout the tv didn’t work very well then packed up altogether
- Niamh (8/5): Enjoyable stay, had everything we needed in a handy location at a great price. - Apartment is modern, clean and well equipped. Location was good, short drive of less than 10 mins into Belfast City (bus right outside if you didn't drive). Communication with owner before and during our stay was excellent. Very good value for money. The pull out bed wasn't very comfortable. It's fine for two children but I don't think it's suitable for adults. Also the main double bed is very small. The bedroom is a nice size, so it would benefit from a larger bed.
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (6/5): Great location, nice apartment, needs attention. - Location was great. Shops just across the road if you need them. Area felt safe and was very quiet. Lovely view from the sitting room window. Tv is broken, screen is almost completely blue and constantly loses signal. Streaming services don’t work. Kitchen poorly stocked for utensils. 1 bowl for a property that accommodates 4? Lock on bathroom door kept getting stuck so you’d be locked in and have to keep trying to get out.
There were jars of tea and coffee but the bottom of the coffee was mouldy so didn’t risk it.
These are all things that would be quick and easy to fix.
- Kathleen (10/5): Perfect location and perfect hosting. - The location was perfect. Parking was excellent. The accommodation was clean, warm and all essentials catered for. n/a
- Eamonn (8/5): Satisfied, but needs improvement. - The bedroom was so comfortable! Shower was lovely, couch was great too! Owner was quick to reply and tried their best to help me with any issues that arose. Great facilities in the kitchen and a nice assortment of goodies to try when I entered the apartment. Oven, cooker and washing machine for all I needed to prepare. Great heating. It was very cold when I visited but the heating kept the place at a very comfortable temperature. Great value for money! The TV remote was not working properly. Couldn't change the channel. The blind in the bedroom wasn't working so I couldn't sleep in the morning. Locks a bit dodgy on the outside door.
- Jack (7/5): Good stay overall would book again - Nicely decorated, felt more comfy and homely than a hotel, main bed extremely comfortable The tv didn’t work and sofa bed was a bit hard
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - everything everything was great 👍
- Nicola (8/5): Fresh modern apartment in a perfect location . - Fresh modern apartment with self check in which was simple and clear. I wasn’t absolutely sure where to park the car but there is a lane at the back of the building accessed from Salisbury Avenue. There were some snacks left for us and tea and coffee. Bathroom facilities were perfect, hairdryer in a drawer. Bed and bed settee were great. It is directly across the road from Fortwilliam shops and there is a small Spar 2 minutes away at fuel station. It would be helpful to have some simple blind or net curtains on the front window which looks directly at the main road as currently the French blind blocks all daylight. But it’s a small thing.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - Cozy and warm, perfect for a short stay.
- Darren (10/5): Perfect short stay; and would be a great base for a longer stay too -
- Nola (10/5): Great wee stay - Property was lovely very modern, great location
- Patricia (7/5): Good - The location right beside the bus stop and handy to local shops. Decor was nice and it was clean apart from the oven. Which I had to clean myself. There was a strong smell of marijuana in the bedroom which I think was coming from a neighbouring apartment. The bed was too small for a couple.
- Wanderlustwall (10/5): Amazing stay at Antrim road - Location, ease of communication and access to accommodation. Very private and secure. Modern decor, all facilities as described. Lovely extras.
WiFi, TV,, bus stop right outside, ample parking.
Great pizza place across the road Mainly that we couldnt stay longer...
Bed was a little on the small side for 2 to sleep comfortably but there is a sofa bed and ample extra pillows and duvet.
Only 2 towels, both on the small side but it wasn't a major issue for us.
- Emma (10/5): Amazing. Will be back⭐️ - Gorgeous apartment. Everything was perfect.
- Caoimhe (10/5): exceptional - very nice apartment in good location. My friends and I will definitely be booking again!
- Darra (8/5): Very good -
