laura (10/5): - Tout etait parfait, le personnel était adorable, la chambre super propre, bien isolée. Le matelas etait très confortable. La piscine était belle et propre. Le rapport qualité prix etait parfait. De loin le meilleur logement que l'on ait pu avoir au Sri Lanka. On a aussi apprécié le fait que chaque jour nous avions de nouvelles petites bouteilles d'eau posés devant la fenêtre ! C'était un peu gênant de voir passer le membre de personnel deposer les bouteilles d'eau devant la fenêtre vers 6h du matin. Mais rien de grave.

Alison (10/5): A peaceful, relaxing retreat close to the vibrant Unawatuna village and stunning beaches - A beautiful hidden retreat just off the main road to Unawatuna. The resort is set amongst mature trees surrounding a glorious emerald-green pool, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is split into apartments/chalets and hotel rooms. We stayed in the hotel room area, which was very thoughtfully and uniquely designed. Each floor has a semi open-air communal space with a kitchen area, washing machine and lounge seating with a sofa, which was a lovely touch. The dining room overlooks the pool area and serves a sumptuous breakfast, with eggs and traditional hoppers cooked to order — definitely worth lingering over. The staff were extremely friendly, obliging, and professional throughout our stay. They even went out of their way to help me with a visa application I needed to complete while we were there, which was hugely appreciated. The hotel is only a short tuk-tuk ride from Unawatuna village and its gorgeous beach, with numerous bars, restaurants, and shops. A little further along, but still only a short tuk-tuk ride away, is Turtle Beach, where we saw the amazing giant turtles. We only wished we had stayed longer. It has a wonderfully relaxing environment in a fantastic location, and we would highly recommend it. nothing

Любой вопрос все сразу решается. Многие пишут про работы рядом, но заботливый персонал когда были свободные номера переселил меня в другое крыло. Anastasiya (10/5): Отель отличный. Возможно стоит добавить трансфер до пляжа - Все номера как отдельная небольшая вилла, каждый на отдельном этаже. Большие номера. Тихая, зеленая территория, чистый бассейн. Потрясающий персонал. Удаленность от океана: пешком 30 минут, на тук туке 5-7 минут. Пешком идти удобно, есть тротуар, не надо идти в горку. В отеле почти не было отдыхающих, потому что ремонтные работы и не все номера еще готовы. Было шумно днем, но стоимость номера это покрывало. Завтраки: они были однообразными, но всего хватало и было вкусно. Возможно мало людей в отеле и готовят не много. Плохо работал wi fi в номере.

Iuliia (10/5): В целом отель замечательный. Я искреннее его рекомендую. Как тут по утрам поют птицы!!! Мы с друзьями брали 2 номера- од - Считаю расположение отеля отличным. Да, до туристической улицы с ресторанами и пляжем нужно добираться на тук туке ( хотя а первый раз мы дошли пешком, но 20 минут идти вдоль дороги так себе) . Но зато тишина, природа, и какое то спокойствие сохраняется. Ни разу не пожалели про местоположение. В целом понравилось все. Наверное единственным минусом это то что по ночам в нашем номере начиналась движуха живности. Геконы и кто то еще бегал толи по крыше толи по потолку активно общаясь. Я (ужасная трусиха) сначала вооьще не спала, потом привыкла. Но тут нужно понимать что мы изначально осознавали что мы выбрали место проживания джунгли. Потому это не претензия с просто констатация факта. Из минусов реальных наверное только то, что мы находили на подушке экскременты гекконов каждый вечер. Их было немного и они легко стряхивались , но не очень приятно было.

Skye (10/5): The best luxury (and affordable!) stay in Unawatuna - This was the first stop on our anniversary trip to Sri Lanka, and it outdid every expectation. We were given the best room in the hotel, with a spectacular view. The room was super clean, spacious, and smelt AMAZING. There is a security guard on at all times, and it felt like a very safe and secluded environment. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and did everything to make the stay extra special. Very close to fabulous beaches and the best food spots. Cannot recommend more if you want to stay in Unawatuna/Galle.

Svetlana (8/5): Отель хороший. - Персонал был очень дружелюбным и всегда помогал. Сами комнаты хорошие и удобные. Много разной живности :) Немного однообразная еда, но можно есть и в городе. Утомили лестницы (но мы зато похудели). Лифт строят и с одной стороны, это супер, с другой, купаешься в бассейне при звуках стройки :)
Barbara (10/5): Magique et calme - Magique environnement au calme et à 2 m de toutes commodités. Les chambres sont magnifiques et tres bien équipées. Le personnel est tres serviable...et la piscine juste top. Attention certaines chambres sont situées en hauteur sans ascenseur mais il est en construction. Prévoir quelques bruits la journée dû aux travaux mais c est pour la bonne cause.

Alexandra P (10/5): Highly recommended!!! - This place is a dream... So beautifully designed! We were kindly offered a free upgrade to a chalet with kitchen which was very useful. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, absotely loved it! The use of a washing machine was also a game changer. The facilities are of course amazing however what really makes this place wonderful is the staff - they were so attentive and warm with us and our baby girl. Really lovely people ☺️ If we come back to Unawatuna we will definitely come back. Thank you so much for everything 🙏 We absolutely loved everything. Just a small suggestion - would it be better to put a new sponge in the kitchen for every new customer?

La literie est de très haute qualité, ce qui garantit de superbes nuits Au milieu de la jungle • Le service & l'accueil : À notre arrivée, le personnel a été d'une gentillesse et d'une aide remarquables. • La table : Le restaurant est un vrai point fort de l'établissement, nous nous sommes régalés à chaque repas. • Les équipements : La présence d'une machine à laver est un "petit plus" extrêmement pratique pour les voyageurs. Le Wi-Fi est également très performant. Hotel pas très loin des plages - jungle beach ou Unawatuna, très proche en tuktuk Plusieurs Club de plongée sur la plage principale Petit déjeuner excellent. La piscine est magnifique un peu plus de transat serait parfait.
Fiona (10/5): Un beau séjour dans cet hôtel - On a adoré notre séjour dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est très gentil et serviable. Le petit-déjeuner était bon. Il y a du choix. La piscine est très agréable. L’hôtel est très beau entouré de végétation. La chambre était propre et spacieuse avec un balcon. Il y a une grille, qui donne accès à l’hôtel, qui est surveillée par un membre du personnel. Il y avait quelques bruits à cause des travaux en cours dans l’hôtel.

Tüm çalışanlar yardımsever ve güleryüzlü. Havuz tertemiz. Kahvaltı harika. Özellikle geleneksel yumurtası. 3 gün konaklayacakken 2 gün daha uzattık. Mirissada kalma planımız varken 2 gün daha burada kalıp Ellaya geçmeye karar verdik. Gezilecek tüm turistik yerler çok yakındaydı. Tuktuk ve araba kolaylıkla geldi. Bazı odalara ulaşım için tesis içindeki merdiven ile çıkılması gerekiyor. Asansörleri yapım aşamasında. Asansör yapıldığında tüm odalara rahatlıkla ulaşım sağlanacaktır. Çocuklu aileler için çok uygun. Biz 7 yaşındaki kızımızla beraber huzurla konakladık. Ve bizim gibi çocuklu ailelerde vardı. Herkese tavsiyemizdir. Kendimizi çok şanslı hissediyoruz. Luxury odaya merdiven ile çıkmak zordu. Fakat asansör yapım aşamasındaydı. Bizim için sorun olmadı. Herşey harikaydı
Mark (10/5): Real hidden gem. - Loved everything about this place. As soon as you step thru the gate you feel like you are in a little piece of paradise. Staff are all so helpful, friendly & smiley. Stayed here for 4 nights & the rooms were amazing. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay here. Nothing to not like.

Kathrin (10/5): - Simply dream villas! During our stay, some of the villas were still under construction, but honestly, it was one of our best accommodations in Sri Lanka. The property with amenities truly feels like a five-star experience. If you stay in one of the upper villas, just be ready for a few stairs — but it’s great exercise and totally worth the views. The staff were unbelievably kind. They made sure we felt welcome at every moment, sent helpful WhatsApp updates, and even upgraded us because of the construction without us ever asking. Their attention, hospitality, and genuine care really made our stay special. Thank you! We’re truly grateful for their kindness and for making us feel so welcome.
Craig (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at villa Rumassala, so much so we have arranged to return already. The staff are lovely and very attentive and the location is perfect, about a 20/25 minute walk to Unawatuna beach or a quick tuktuk journey if you don’t enjoy walking. Breakfast was lovely also with lots of options . We also had a room with a kitchen and they supplied everything that we needed to make meals etc

BGCUSA (8/5): Ok - Hot water - yes. Water preasure - yes. Comfortable bed- yes and we did request more pillows since the original ones were flat. The staff is kind and would assist when there was a problem. The hotel is located down a long road away from the busy road. The long road is filled with potholes and quite narrow. It is treacherous after a rain because of the deep puddles and the splashing mud of a passing tuktuk or car. We had 144 steps all the way up to our room. Once we got there we looked at the roof of the bungalow in front of us. Not worth those steps or price. At night there were several spots where there was no lighting on the steps. You do need your phone's flashlight once the sun has gone down.

Очень красивый вид, окна в пол, с утра видно рассвет. Перед номером есть кресла и столик, чтобы сидеть и наслаждаться видами. Отдыхали в марте месяце, еще строили лифт. Нас поселили на «шестом» этаже) для нас это не было проблемой, но кому-то может будет тяжело каждый раз подниматься так высоко.

Le Wi-Fi est également très performant. 🙁 Ce qui pourrait être amélioré : • Le départ : Très déçus par le check-out. Autant l'accueil était chaleureux, autant le départ a été expéditif et froid.c'est dommage pour un hôtel de ce standing. • L'espace piscine : Très difficile de s'y détendre. La musique est beaucoup trop forte (trop de basses) et de nombreux transats sont bloqués toute la journée par des clients absents, sans que la direction n'intervienne. • Le bruit au RDC : Notre chambre était située entre les voitures, les poubelles et le groupe électrogène. Demandez impérativement un étage pour éviter ces nuisances sonores et visuelles. On subit la musique de la piscine aussi. • Localisation : L'hôtel est un peu à l'écart, ce qui demande un peu d'organisation pour les déplacements. Conclusion : Un établissement avec un fort potentiel grâce à son confort et sa cuisine, mais qui doit corriger sa gestion de la piscine et soigner l'expérience client jusqu'au moment du départ.

Monika (9/5): Veľmi príjemný hotel s krásnym prostredím a výnimočne milým personálom - Mimoriadne príjemný a ústretový personál je najväčším plusom hotela. Izby sú veľké, čisté a postele sú veľmi pohodlné. Raňajky chutné s bohatým výberom a príjemným prostredím. Veľmi málo komárov v celom areáli. Malý kávovar, ktorý kapacitne nestíhal. Pri bazéne iba 10 miest na ležanie. V izbe bolo výrazne cítiť prostriedky proti komárom. Reštauračné menu je dosť obmedzené, pri dlhšom pobyte môže výber jedál rýchle omrzieť.

Martyna (10/5): Perfect time in Unawatuna with extremely kind staff - The place is just fantastic. So good environment. You feel so welcomed from the very beginning. The staff is very attentive and caring. They are lovely people. Rooms are extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is a mix of Sri Lankan with Continental options so as European you don’t need to worry :) They organised for guests a special fire show which was presenting Sri Lankan culture even better alongside with typical Sri Lankan dinner. If we are ever back to Unawatuna this is our choice for accommodation - no doubts! Everything was so perfect
Mara roxana (9/5): A great location boutique hotel with beautiful suites. - This boutique hotel is very nice located very close to the shops and restaurants. The rooms are spectacular, especially the suites have everything you need from a small kitchen, washing machine, big bathroom and a nice mosaic bath tube. Special thanks to the guys who very kindly brought up the luggage from the reception. They’re working on a Elevator, but if you get the rooms or SUITE in the highest point of the hotel, get ready to climb for more than 200 steps.

Julia (9/5): - Villa Rumassala liegt etwas ab vom Schuss, dadurch hat man aber einfach den schönsten Ausblick überhaupt und es ist wunderbar ruhig. Wir hatten das höchste Chalet, das wunderschön war, was jedoch bedeutete, dass man mehr als 150 Stufen hochlaufen musste, da es momentan noch keinen Fahrstuhl gibt. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, das vorher zu wissen, da man doch mehrmals am Tag hoch und runter gehen musste. Ansonsten ist die Unterkunft perfekt, tolles Personal, gutes Frühstück, angenehmer Pool. Es gibt noch einige dinge, die vor ort fertig gestellt werden müssen, dann ist es eine 10/10 Das Bett fanden wir persönlich viel zu weich, aber das ist geschmackssache.

Eloise (10/5): Very relaxing stay with beautiful setting and friendly staff - Really nice setting. Really lovely staff. We booked a double chalet but our friend’s accommodation (at a different hotel) fell through so we asked (when we arrived) if we could add another guest. The staff were very accommodating and said it was no problem- they also upgraded us to a family chalet so we had more room for 3 (we only paid a little extra but not for the upgrade). Breakfast had a lot of choice and was really delicious. They would leave bottles of water on our balcony for us for when we woke up. The chalet even had a washing machine and kitchen! Was a really relaxing and enjoyable stay! Our chalet was up a lot of stairs but they appear to be building a lift.

Also very bad smell in the room and humidity feels everywhere. Not sure if all rooms have the same issue but we were staying on the groundfloor and it was not pleasant.

Bartė (10/5): The best stay in Unawatuna - The villa is wonderful! The staff is so kind and helpful, the best part of the stay. Villa is very green, spacious. The breakfast was deliciour everyday, the pool was not too overcrowded. They also offer free fruit and water throughout the day. Nothing to say. We had the best stay and we would recommend everyone to visit.

Anthony and Lisa (10/5): Just fabulous - We checked out of villa Rumassala yesterday morning and we were so sad to be leaving. We don't know how to start with the amount of praise for this hotel. To start the hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the centre and beach but it's so quiet and peaceful and a lovely oasis. The pool area is beautiful and some really lovely outdoor seating. Our room was big with a super comfortable bed and a balcony, they have cupboards on all the floors with coffee facilities and water that they stocked up all the time. On all floors a washing machine and airer for your clothes and iron and ironing board. This hotel as thought of everything for you. The breakfast was beautifully set up and some really beautiful choices and an outdoor egg station they cooked for you to order. Now the staff, well we have travelled around sri lanka and met lots of lovely staff and people but all the staff at villa Rumassala were absolutely amazing and lovely and friendly beautiful people. Always smiling and happy regardless their busy day and tremendous hard work at making everything perfect. Their is not enough praise for them and we can say a big thank you to them all and keep your lovely happy smiling faces. Such a pleasure. Thank you all, we .miss you ilsa and Anthony Nothing except having to leave. But without a doubt we will be back

Shazna (10/5): Home away from home - The apartment was extremely clean and spacious, and there were laundry and kitchen facilities which made it feel like a home away from home. The staff were accommodating and hospitable, always serving us with a smile and welcoming presence. Not only that, they were able to tend to our needs at the drop of a text and were always happy to help. The villa was also located in a great location and the breakfast was very nice. Amza (10/5): Wonderful hotel, great breakfast, brilliant staff and a fabulous pool. - Beautiful room on a great resort. The wifi works brilliantly here btw. The staff are super helpful and leave you alone but are around if you need anything. The breakfast is amazing, local sri lankan curry and choice of continental breakfast daily. Juices are freshly prepared. We used the pool and its fab. There is a tuck tuck driver that works for the hotel. We didn't realise this initially so were using either pick me or flagging one on the high street. maybe the hotel could promote this a little more. Gaulle is about 20 minutes away in a tuck tuck and is lovely to visit. the turtle beach is about 5 mins or so in a tuck tuck. There are steps to reach your room but the views are simply amazing. we didn't mind at all but make sure to inform the staff if you have mobility issues. The staff told us a lift will hopefully be in place by December. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you want to be in Unawatuna. We loved it. nothing to dislike. we loved staying here and would stay here again.
