The staff were really friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room was beautiful, bed comfortable and bathroom good. The breakfast was good and it was lovely to eat it each morning in the courtyard.

Plenty of information of local area eg restaurants given to us by the management, also a useful shopping bag gifted to us at the end of our week's stay. The video that played during breakfast showing the beauty of Tenerife was very pleasant. Also the picturesque little courtyard with lots of plants and items of interest. Most of the rooms looked out onto this. Also the communal balcony overlooking the sea - very nice! We were only given 1 key card to the room, a second one would've been helpful, though to be fair we didn't ask for a second one, maybe we would've been given one if we'd have asked.

Bella la terrazza sull'oceano e l'atmosfera generale di una casa tradizionale con un bel patio interno. Il paese è piacevole sia di giorno che di sera, tranquillo ed in posizione geograficamente ottimale per varie escursioni nei ditorni. Pur avendo prenotato con ampio anticipo una camera che dava sul patio interno al piano terra, ci è stata essegnata una camera posizionata sul retro della struttura e dotata di una piccola finestra di meno di 1 mq che affacciava sulla via interna. La camera risultava quindi alquanto buia e chiusa. Certamente questa tipologia di camera andava, innanzitutto preavvisata (io non l'avrei presa), e quotata certamente ad un costo inferiore.

Attention to detail all around: decor, atmosphere, service. Perfect location in old Garachico, with terraces overlooking the sea. Excellent breakfast! Nothing. Everything was excellent.

• Jens-Peter (9/5): Wir das Dorf, so das Hotel: Sehr sehr gelungen - Das Ambiente war sehr gelungen, das Zimmer (15) ausreichend groß und angenehm. Der Frühstücksbereich liegt im überdachten Innenhof und war im Januar schon frisch. Tadellos sauber. Schöner Salon mit bequemen Sofas, Kartenspieltisch. Freundliches Personal Exzellente Lage, schöner Relaxbereich auf dem Dach. Die Dusche verdient neue Duschköpfe, die jetzigen spritzen schon großflächig (treffen aber auch den Körper). Das Frühstück ist spanisch, also etwas weniger üppig, als z.B. Deutsche es gerne gaben, vielleicht hilft auch ein moderner Kaffeeautomat....naja, nicht entscheidend.

• Philipp (3/5): Zwar gute Lage, aber wenn der Hellhörigkeit und des unmöglichen Hauswirts werden wir ganz sicher nicht wiederkommen! - + zur Begrüßung 0,5 Liter Weißwein und kleiner Obstkorb + sehr gute Lage zwischen Marktplatz und Rockpools/Meer + schöner Innenhof + leckeres Frühstücksbuffet + sehr guter Roomservice (täglich und sehr sauber) + jeden Tag zwei kleine Wasserflaschen + zwei Terrassen mit Blick aufs Meer - hellhörig, insbesondere zum Innenhof - die Nacht ist um 7:20 Uhr vorbei, weil im Innenhof das Frühstücksbuffet aufgebaut wird und unser Zimmer (wie die meisten Zimmer) zum Innenhof hin lag. Das Service-Personal gibt sich Mühe, leise zu sein, aber ohne Geklapper kann man kein Frühstücksbuffet aufbauen. - Die Haustür hat eine Lichtschranke mit hellem Doppelgong, der bei jedem Rein- und Rausgehen von Gästen, Personal oder Lieferanten im ganzen Haus zu hören ist. Mittagsschlaf ist also leider nicht möglich. - zu viele Kameras in den Gemeinschaftsbereichen des ganzen Hauses, so dass man sich beobachtet fühlt - Griesgrämiger und kauziger Hauswirt, dadurch leider keine schöne Atmosphäre im Haus

Ein klares Plus ist der direkte Zugang zur Küste mit den Meerwas - Gut gefallen haben uns die zentrale Lage und die angenehme Atmosphäre in dem antiken Bau mit sehr schönen Terrassen. Am letzten Tag mussten wir das Hotel vor der eigentlichen Frühstückszeit verlassen. Es war bereits alles gerichtet und es hätte uns noch ein Frühstück zugestanden. Es wurde uns allerdings von der Dame am Buffet nachdrücklich verwehrt, etwas Obst zu nehmen, da dieses erst (eine halbe Stunde) später geöffnet wäre. So endete unser schöner Urlaub bedauerlicherweise mit einem unguten Erlebnis.

• Karolina (6/5): Authentische Bedingungen in guter Lage in einem hübschen Ort - Prima Lage im hübschen Ort. Frühstück ok, nichts besonderes. Wir haben uns "nur" zum Schlafen im GaraHotel aufgehalten, aber auch die Terrassen laden - nicht den gnzen Tag, aber für eine übersichtliche Zeitspanne- durchaus zum verweilen ein. Aufenthaltszeit war die 3.Dez.woche - spielt vll. eine Rolle. Ich/ wir kamen klar mit unserem Früstücks- und Schlafplatz.

• Amanda (7/5): - The hotel is in an attractive building - a video shows how it was created from the ruins of a traditional Canarian house. There is a pleasant courtyard and terrace with sea view. It's really well situated moments from the sea and the oldest part of the town. The room was nice - rooms on the ground floor are easily accesible for people with limited mobility. Breakfast was nice - self-service except for the coffee which was pretty grim. Stick to the herbal teas! People did smoke in the courtyard and the smoke did waft into our room which was a bit annoying.

• BEATRIZ (9/5): Una escapada diferente - La profesionalidad y amabilidad del personal es un añadido en este hotel dentro de una casa canaria emblemática con mucho encanto. Está muy bien situado con acceso directo a la avenida principal y zona de baño. La opción de disponer de aire acondicionado y de ventilador de techo también es un añadido cuando hace mucho calor. Las zonas comunes, especialmente la de la terraza, con vistas mar y montaña, son acogedoras, e invitan al relax y tomarte algo. Al ser una casa canaria, los suelos son de madera, y si te toca en una habitación baja como la nuestra, y los/as huéspedes de arriba hacen mucho ruido el techo cruje. Si esto ocurre mientras duermes, seguro te despierta.

• Kelly (7/5): Great location, nice hotel, don’t count on the breakfast for much. - Great location, nice atmosphere, rooftop patio with ocean views. Breakfast - not served until 830. Pretty late if you have plans for the day. Buffet the first day, then by order after that. The buffet was good. The ordered food was pretty skimpy. The Spanish omelette was the size of a small slice of pie, we received one slice of each meat and ham that we requested. It was an extra cost to order bacon and eggs (which had been on the buffet at no extra charge. )
• Diana (5/5): The stay itself was great - I’m very disappointed with the fact that I was double charged and when I reached out to the property they fobbed me off by saying my card was rejected. How if I’ve booked over booking.com? Be aware and check your account. The breakfast was a bit minimal and could offer more coffee options for example. When I asked the owner whether I could have a take-away breakfast as I had an early start he didn’t facilitate it for me. He didn’t care and didn’t offer to refund me the breakfast either. I’d stay at the boutique hotel that’s on the piazza it’s much nicer and has a similar price most likely.
• Keren (9/5): Superb - Great location in the very lovely town of Garachico with views of the sea from the terrace and many restaurants nearby.
• Julie (8/5): A lovely quirky hotel in a great location but perhaps in need of a little bit of investment. - Great view, and lovely roof terrace. beds were comfortable Traffic noise, room a little cramped and some aspects were in need of repair such as the wardrobe. The breakfasts were a little mean and there was not enough seating for all the guests which seemed strange.

• Lorraine (8/5): Wonderful traditional local hotel - Wonderful sea views from terraces - I suggest room 10 or 11 for best views. Owner and all staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was sufficient and simple. Very clean and great location in beautiful town. We used town bus to visit other places. Even though clean the shower cubicle needs an upgrade
• Michaela (7/5): Good - Great location, parking possibilities only a few minutes walk away, Garachico is a lovely village, the terrace of the hotel overlooking the sea is very nice The interior is quite old/worn, the mattresses are a bit hard, the breakfast was rather average (selection, quality of food)
• Billie123 (7/5): Good - Location was excellent, lovely view from the terrace and a nice courtyard. There was a lot of choice at breakfast but some of it was not of the best quality. Rather a lot of rules and regulation signs around which detracted from the feel of the place.

Arrived back early one evening to go to the bar with two friends who live on the island and was told the bar was for guest only and my friends were thrown out Also don't dare put even one foot inside the reception office as the owner will have a go at you. Breakfast is meagre.

• Marina (10/5): Great! - Great location in beautiful Garachico. Beautiful terrace(s) with lovely view of the natural lava pools and the ocean. Very good breakfast, friendly hosts and staff. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would love to come back.
