Guest Reviews
- Brian (9/5): peace and quiet in Devon - The location with the river running right by the patio was lovely and it was not to far from the main road for access but totally quiet and tranquil. nothing
- John (9/5): -
- Angela (8/5): Lovely relaxing stay, recharged the batteries ready to go again!! - Lovely peaceful location. Easy access to the main road for visiting local places of interest. Good kitchen facilities. Nice BIG comfy sofas to relax in after a days walking. The Lemon Drizzle cake on arrival was superb. Up to date leaflets about the local places of interest would be helpful as there was no internet access, if you don't have 4g. The floor in the bathroom was constantly wet, but I think this may be a issue with underground water?
- Mark (10/5): - Stunning location,so serene and relaxing and very accomodating hosts. The lack of internet or even phone signal in the barn wasnt convenient but totally understand it couldnt be helped and its being worked on.
- janis (5/5): Disappointing - the location Not enough outside lighting v dangerous at night and in bad weather .
Barn cold even in August! Storage rads were not switched on.
Car parking very dark and dangerous and not near barn.. this should ne mentioned in details
Left hand side of bed tricky too .,.close to a ledge someone could break their ankle when
getting out!
No shelves for toiletries in bathroom also magnifying glass mirror would work instead of wooden mirror.
Chair in bedroom for clothes needed at night
More coat hangers! There were only 5!!
Fridge tiny and inadequate
When arrived they got the date wrong::if owner had not been there we would not have been able to get in!! We were expected the next day!
It could be lovely but just too basic with not enough thought taken.
- rachel (10/5): - Fabulous location, idyllic place to relax with river outside the door, well equipped, fabulous hoist, even made us a veagan cake which was wow! Will book again and highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you Location, perfect as can walk to 2 different pubs. Fabulous countryside, river outside the door, host fabulous lady.
- Mark (9/5): Most relaxing weekend I've had in a long time. - The location was perfect for our stay as we were attending a family party in Brentor. It was also an ideal location for visiting the surrounding areas e.g. Tavistock. Our host Alison was extremely helpful and on hand for any queries. The property has a very well stocked kitchen and there were some nice touches on our arrival - fresh milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and Alison's Lemon Drizzle cake is to die for. I'm used to a king size bed, and the property has a double, still slept like a baby though, the brook running past Homer barn is so relaxing.
:) Etwas dunkel..
- Steve (10/5): Very relaxing - Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and private.
- Di (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful setting and close to a very nice inn.The accommodation was very comfortable and the host considerately left milk/coffee /tea and a delicious lemon drizzle cake. No WiFi but knew that before we arrived
- Jo (10/5): Tranquil, peaceful stay. Perfect - Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The Barn had everything you needed for your stay. The added bonus of homemade yummy lemon drizzle cake was waiting for you when you arrived. Such a treat. peaceful to be by the river. The seating area outside was so charming to be in touch with nature. Just what was needed. Highly recommend. The hosts were amazing. Nothing
- Roger (8/5): Very good - The location and the fact that we were welcomed with a nice lemon drizzle cake on arrival. The bedroom was a little cramped, one side of the bed being close to the wall.
