Guest Reviews
- Janet (8/5): With an age range of 68 years, we all (including the dog) loved every minute of our stay. - Old world charm. Space. Location. Log burning stove. Huge utility/boot room for muddy/sandy boots etc. Great supply and variety of crockery, pans etc. Fantastic hosts. Small appliances such as toaster and kettle could do with replacing /upgrading.
- Helen (8/5): Great place to stay - relaxed and homely. - Lovely period property which felt really spacious for a group of 6 adults and 2 dogs. Peaceful location with beautiful countryside views and a good base to explore Northumberland. The host was great at providing information. Nothing
- Hamilton-Moody (9/5): - The house was lovely, huge, very well equipped & kept with love & care, some bewtiful things all around which we admired, like stepping back in time to a grand house, beds were very comfortable, linen & towels very good quality, en suites bewtiful, showers great, furnishings very classy, great large walled garden, dogs adored it, owners very kind & helpful, we left a couple of things & she very kindly posted them to us.
Bewtiful location for our coastal days out, all in all WONDERFUL week. The only thing we missed was a downstairs inside toilet but think that's our age, was good exercise for us up & down bewtiful stairs.
No comment
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful farmhouse, surrounded by fields, with a nespresso coffee maker! What is there not to love!
- Sara (9/5): Thankyou for our wonderful stay, we’ve been three generations who have enjoyed our time making memories together. Visiti - A beautiful home, very welcoming environment, everything needed was available.
- Lance (7/5): Great visit in a lovely location. Nice and quiet. Host was very helpful. Good for all the places we wanted to tour. - Big comfy beds, great power showers, wood burner and lots of wood. Main bathroom needs a new tub and taps. Freezer too small.
- Claire (10/5): Perfect home for a peaceful and scenic break - We absolutely loved this stunning property. It was incredibly spacious and homely. An amazing mix of old and new meant that it had a wonderful feel of history with all the mod cons you could wish for. Nothing was lacking in the kitchen, even an air fryer and slow cooker were available.
The extra touches such as hot water bottles, a welcome birthday card and gifts and Santa's secret biscuit stash just added to the experience.
The communication with the host was second to none. Detailed welcome messages including clear directions and photographs were sent before we arrived. We stayed over New Year and we had a message explaining the local traditions as well as one to wish us a Happy New Year. They were also helpful in directing us to local attractions.
We loved the fire each evening and the peaceful location along with very comfortable beds meant we felt very rested at the end of the week.
We can't wait to visit again. Nothing it was absolutely perfect
- Jason (10/5): Fantastic stay - Very clean and tidy, felt like home from home. Fantastic communication from the owner. We will be staying again next year.
- Helen (10/5): A lovely stay in a comfortable home. - Everything Nothing
- Jinny (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and clean. A very welcoming holiday home. Loved the history of the building, it felt like we were staying in a national trust property. It was absolutely brilliant.
- Jules (6/5): A very quiet location which was what we were after, lots of space and real fires - Excellent location, very peaceful and quiet. walks from the front door. Plenty of room inside. Lack of freezer would stop us returning. Bed in the main room was extremely soft which did not give any support. I found the kitchen lacking in cooking equipment (not enough wooden spoons, tongs, couldnt find scales, no glass bowls/ mixing bowls for preparing food. There were loads of glassware and plates though.
- Nick (10/5): Lovely relaxing week in this spacious and charming farmhouse. - We found for a family group of 7 North Farm was ideal in terms of space, massive garden and outdoor seating, very comfortable sitting room and bedrooms. It was good to have two ensuites and the main bathroom was modern. Also the house retained a lot of its farmhouse character which for us was a big plus factor. We loved it and would happily return. A small freezer in the dairy room would have been useful [but not essential]. There was nothing we didn't like about the farm's rural Northumberland character.
- Brenda (10/5): Relaxing family weekend in a delightful property - House was beyond spacious, loads of room although we spent most time around the lovely kitchen table! Would have liked a small freezer as well as the large fridge. No ice in my G&T!
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely family home with plenty of space and cute niches. Super comfortable beds all round. Good showers. Would be great for a couple of small families +/- dogs. The constant rain but hey it is what it is!!
- Julie (9/5): Superb - The property was extremely well equipped with everything you could want. The rear garden was fully enclosed which was perfect for dogs ( and potentially children, although we had none with us). There were 3 bathrooms across 4 bedrooms which made it comfortable for a group of friends to stay. There were various curios which presented a talking point and we loved the fire places. The whole property was tastefully and thoughtfully furnished and laid out down to details such as walking sticks and hot water bottles. It is an amazing space Nothing
- Suraya (9/5): Helpful & considerate owners and charming farmhouse - Charmingly rustic farmhouse but with modern bathroom and en-suites. The kids loved the piano. Milk in the fridge and brioche in a basket for first breakfast was appreciated. The mattress in the main bedroom was very soft. It could just be us though as we are used to a much firmer mattress.
- Sebastian (10/5): heaven - everything! this place has got it all. beautiful outside and inside just keeps giving. fire place, cottage kitchen. bedrooms with absolutely incredible bedsheets so comfortable. will definitely go back and stay longer. communication was easy with the owners, immediate. very helpful and kind. n/a
