Guest Reviews
- Leah (10/5): Family get away, very short distance from Bakewell, kiddies loved the duck race in Ashford, second stay here planning an - Everything! perfect location, local shop that sells nearly everything, pubs, tea shop and wonderful walks and paddle in the river. Nothing.
- Carrie (10/5): -
- Julian (7/5): Generally a lovely cottage - Lovely village location. On site parking. Generally a nice cottage. Rules of no dogs upstairs, in a dog friendly cottage, not apparent at time of booking.
1 sofa seemed to lack support.
Double bed mattress very soft, bed frame very squeaky.
- Shirley (8/5): Very good, would stay again but minor maintenance required. - Perfect location for our walking holiday, clean cottage, facilities very good, clean bed linen. Light bulb in front bedroom didn't work, blue sofa was dirty, old and no support. The front bedroom door wouldn't close because the radiator was in the way.
- Lucy (7/5): - Really liked the decor. The place was spotless and felt very homely but is on the small side. It was difficult to enter the property from the instructions given. It was difficult to find out how to access the back door, we ended up walking through the wrong walkway into someone elses garden before being advised where to go.

- Joanne (6/5): - Coset, great location for walks and pubs . The Bath was amazing A big crampt and basic furnishing for the price
- Gemma (8/5): Spotlessly clean cottage in a great location. - The cottage is in a great location, lots of great walks nearby including a riverside walk to Bakewell (40 mins walk) , the village is very pretty. There are two pubs within easy walking distance. The Bulls Head was our favourite, it is a few doors down from the property, the staff were very welcoming and the food superb! The Ashford Arms is opposite, a trendy large hotel / gastro pub. Offered good food.
Our children enjoyed feeding the ducks at The Sheepwash Bridge. Duck food can be purchased from the nearby cafe.
The cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. There is plenty of on street parking and a private parking bay at the rear of the property. There wasn’t a blind in the kitchen window.

The rooms were spotless, warm, comfortable and welcoming. There is a beautiful bath, which is just perfect for a good soak after a long walk. We stayed for a week and loved it.
