• Ruslan (8/5): Good hostel - The hostel has a pleasant atmosphere for socializing and discussing various issues. The hostess is very helpful and attentive. The mattresses are good, and the showers have hot water. There is a kitchen with all the necessary equipment, and you can cook if you wish. The hostel is quite safe, and you can feel secure about your belongings. I was sleeping on the bottom bed and the water from the aircon was dripping onto the top bed. During the night the top mattress got wet and the water started dripping onto me. Lou told me I could sleep on any bed that was available but the room was still very damp. The location is not ideal as there are no cheap cafes nearby and I have to walk to get food. The bathroom is a bit dated and leaks. A new building is being constructed next to the room and it can be quite noisy. In general, this is a good option for 1-2 nights, as the airport is very close.

• Ali (8/5): - At least 20 min far from city center. The rooms is very nice. But we found leftover rice and some drinks in fridge so that means they didn’t clean properly or forgot. Also we found sunglasses in the room. The owner shares information when you check in so this is nice. If you want to be close to airport and bus station is okay but far from city center

Denne tur var fin og problemfri Vi ankom til Lu Peaceful homestay efter at have læst de gode anmeldelser. Vi følte os ikke godt taget imod, men fik vores private værelse. Da vi kommer ind lugter der af mug og skimmel. Denne lugt er også på badeværelset og der er ekstremt indelukket og ingen ventilation. Kort tid efter indkvartering opdager vi en kakerlak på badeværelset!! Det var ikke muligt at få en ekstra dyne, den skulle vi betale ekstra for. Først da vi opdagede at det dryppede med orange væske fra loftet direkte ned i sengen, og vi måtte benytte den ekstra køjeseng for ikke at få væske i hovedet da vi skulle sove.

Nous avions réservé une chambre via Booking, et en arrivant sur place à 18h, on nous annonce qu’il n’y a finalement plus de chambre disponible. La propriétaire affirme avoir envoyé des messages pour prévenir, mais je n’ai rien reçu au moment concerné. Au lieu d’annuler correctement la réservation via la plateforme, aucune démarche n’a été faite de son côté. Nous nous sommes donc retrouvées sans logement le soir, dans un pays étranger, sans aucune aide ni proposition de solution. Le plus choquant est que nous n’étions pas les seules dans cette situation : plusieurs autres personnes ont vécu exactement la même chose le même jour. C’est un comportement totalement irresponsable et un service très peu professionnel. Aucune empathie, aucune assistance, aucune prise en charge. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet établissement.

• Hiria (10/5): - I'm older but I dislike hotels because they're so expensive, sterile and I'll doom scroll for days and not go outside. At Lu's it really was like staying at a friend's place with clean, tidy, respectful kids and a FANTASTIC breakfast. I REALLY enjoyed staying there and it made me determined to stay in more hostels to meet now petite and stop being a mushroom. Thank you for sharing your home Lu! I'll definitely be back! I forgot to get my washing done 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

• Katarzyna (10/5): Thank you Lu, I will be back!!! - EVERYTHING! Someone here said the good reviews are fake - I can assure I am a real person who had a lovely experience with Lu. She is an amazing, hardworking woman who assures her guests are comfortable and happy. Every morning she cooks breakfast for everyone and creates home-like atmosphere. It's a great property if you want to meet other travelers (all ages!) and feel truly welcome. The property is very big and has everything that you might need from yoga mats to bikes and scooters. You can use the kitchen which is well equipped - for me it was very important. There is space to work with a laptop. The area is perfect if you want to escape from busy, noisy tourist places. The neighborhood is beautiful and very green. Very easy to get a motorbike taxi within 3 minutes if you want to explore the city. For me it was perfect and I will be back :) Thank you Lu!!!!! Honestly everything was great, I didn't have any problems with anything.

Et la veille de notre arrivée on nous dis que finalement la chambre n’ai pas disponible… soit on trouve ailleurs soit on paye une autre chambre plus chère forcément. Nous avons donc prix la 2e option et payer le triple de notre chambre de base… étant back packeuse au budget restreint nous avons pas trop apprécié :/

Tuvimos que pagar por dejar nuestras mochilas una noche cuando al dia siguiente volviamos a quedarnos en el alojamiento a dormir. A veces el caracter de la propietaria no resultaba muy acogedor, parecia que dependía un poco segun lo que pagabas.

Awful lobby with mess everywhere The host is an absolutely dreadful and abusive woman. Do not trust the good reviews this evil woman left me (a disabled solo traveller) stranded on the streets at midnight. She refused to take my money even for a night, I assume she double booked or something, clearly in it for the money. She was so rude to me, an appalling woman who, DO NOT BOOK HERE SHE CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

• FUKA (10/5): 最高のステイ！！ - オーナーのMs.Luがとても親切な方でした。 お部屋は必要なものが全て揃っていて、綺麗で大満足でした。 ホットシャワーも最高に気持ちが良かったです。 滞在期間中、Ms.Luに色々なことをお聞きしたのですが、いつもすぐに答えてくれて対応をしてくれました。 ベトナム旅行の最後の滞在となったのですが、どこかホッとする滞在先で安心感がありました。 スーパーもすぐ近くにあり、住宅街は🐕も少なく夜も子供の声がするくらいで治安もいいと思います。 特にないです。
• Spies (7/5): - An besten hat mir Lu gefallen die wirklich sehr lieb und hilfsbereit ist, ich kam abends sehr spät an und sie hat auf mich gewartet, sie hat mir Tips gegeben wo ich günstig essen kann und mir eine Tour organisiert die günstiger war als alles was ich online gesehen habe. Die letzte Nacht hatte ich dann auch ein sehr gutes neues und sehr sauberes Zimmer. Die Dachterrasse ist auch ganz schön Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist dreckig, das Bad unten auch und man muss den Duschkopf halten da es keine Halterung gibt. Das Zimmer unten ist recht feucht und riecht sehr unangenehm. Die Lage ist weit weg von der Stadt aber dafür sehr nah am Flughafen!

• Jamie (10/5): A calm, relaxing and homely house in the heart of Da Nang - I've stayed here for about 3 weeks now, I likely another 3 weeks more - and there's nothing about this place not to reccomend. The atmosphere is lovely and there seems to be nice stream of really calm and lovely people coming and going. The area is lovely and quiet, being in the centre of the city everything is just a short bike trip away. Lu, the owner, is a lovely kind and welcoming person that made me feel at home and comfortable from day 1. I would not reccomend this place to stay more and there's not a downside I can come up with - the highlights though are: the relaxing all hours living room, the food in the area and the tranquility. 5 Stars and when I come to Da Nang again this will be the first place I call in to :)
• Telaan (8/5): I would reccomend it for people who need a place to do a sabbatical, just realise it’s VERY peaceful - ✅ it’s not far from the airport. I think I left 2 hours before my flight and still had time to spare. ✅ she provides a list of eateries/cafes within walking distance. She’s friendly, when I was standing to wait for my grab to the airport, she gave me two packets of wrapped Vietnamese breakfast meal things. So I could eat. Which was nice. ✅ FREE COLD WATER FILTER unfortunately this is not the case everywhere I go so I like this!! ✅ Very calm, area to sit downstairs, fridge and kitchen are there… it’s a house. ✅ because of the “peace”, the crowd is respectful, I had no issues with being disturbed. ✅ I was worried about the proximity to the airport, but I managed to sleep fine! ❌ I don’t know if I spoke to Lu when I arrived, or if it was one of her staff. But, she was very quiet. The whole building is very quiet, almost too quiet. I didn’t quite understand the explanation and in the end I didn’t hear that towels cost extra money, for example. Because it’s so quiet, I feel like many people were here on a longer term trip, and weren’t so keen on going out together. But maybe that’s just the time I was there! ❌ I saw all the photos of eating together, doing things together, expecting to maybe get a cultural experience or gain new knowledge. While I was there (albeit only three nights), nothing was organised. This was the main reason I chose this place above a commercial hostel by the beach. Although I heard the week before I came, that she was doing it back to back. So maybe setting a schedule could help? ❌ although she recommends places to go and eat, I felt super lost for options having come from Saigon. There is a supermarket, but they only have one fridge, so they don’t offer the variety that a 7/11 or circle k would offer in the city. No grab and go food. I went to a cafe she recommended me, and maybe it was a translation error, but she kicked me out to close right after I got there. Other cafes and places on Google are closed even when they say they’re open. Obviously not the fault of the hostel, but just to give you an idea that opening hours are loose and to find another place, if you can’t speak Vietnamese, is not always easy. I ended up using grab food a lot. Which is more expensive. I would have happily paid her to opt into a meal plan. ❌ it’s a bit far from the downtown sights. I booked a tour to Hoi an and they refused to pick me up here. A grab bike, especially the saver option, was sometimes only 28 thousand dong, and only 18 thousand to the beach north of the hostel. But, it’s just an extra step and can feel a bit like a hassle, because you have to factor in that travel time. ❌ the beds are a bit rickety. This caused...
