Guest Reviews
- Pam (9/5): Full of history - Historical building, info provided via email (but maybe put link to pdf nearer top of email, missed until second day) Unclear how to open washing machine door if no 'on' light
- Paul (9/5): - Location
- Ian (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): - The Cellar was absolutely beautiful, had everything we needed for the stay, it was lovely to stay in a little bit of history that has been given some love and care. Thank you!
- Chih-hao (7/5): Good -
- Katrina (9/5): Superb - Lovely little apartment with gorgeous old flag stone floors done up beautifully with a modern bathroom.
Good location with short walk up a long hill from Salamanca with pubs and small grocery shop nearby.
- Angele (7/5): Simplicity with function. Explore a servants space in comfort compared to their days. - Great to have some sense of the history of the location. It's a really cool place to stay. The worn steps, original stone floor and use of lighting on the walls rather than overhead was great. Bed was comfortable, with extra blankets if needed. It would be good to change the writing desk out for a small table for eating at, as sitting in the chairs to eat is not always comfortable. The lights outside the bedroom and bathroom window at night are super bright and even with the blockout blinds drawn the light coming through at the top and bottom was pretty intense. It'd be good to drop those down to a lower wattage globe. There was no dish rack or tea towel to dry dishes for the handwashing of the small amount we used. The pillows were fairly all the same, and a variety of types for firmness would be good to consider. Some info on local facilities like food options would be helpful and a recycle bin not just a rubbish bin. We also used the coffee plunger and didn't have anywhere to dispose of the grounds. Some extra bits and pieces in the kitchen would be useful for the self catering guest.
- Lea (10/5): Unique, capturing the history of Hobart, comfortable and roomy and great location. - Such a unique place. Love how it’s been decorated to reflect the old and the new with lots of history. Roomy and comfy and close to city life. It was perfect
- Julie-anne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Beattie (8/5): Very good - Beautiful converted servants quarters with lots of amenities, great bed, shower kitchen etc Design was very dated for how amazing the building was. Location was okay but on a busy road so quite noisy + the upstairs guests can be heard
