• miranda (10/5): Wonderful stay removed from the buzz of the city - Incredible location. Wonderful staff. Great restaurant on site and another next door It could use some updates but still lovely overall.
• Mikko (10/5): A father and a son cykling on the islands of Croatia - The room with a sea view balcony was really nice. The breakfast was amazing. We ride bicycles so we need lots of energy. And it was delicious too. The restaurant downstairs was enjoyable. There is a paved path following the coast line. A walk on a path is relaxing.

• Heiko van Delden (10/5): - Yes, I strongly recommend for relaxing. It is very calm place directly to the water. Good for swimming. Close to the House is a good typical restaurant from the same family with very good food. No luxury but very comfortable and super clean. The staff are friendly and helpful..

• Silvio (10/5): Perfecte ligging direct aan de zee (met smalle straatjes er naar toe) - De locatie direct aan de zee boven het restaurant Zaca. Echt geweldig De weg van Surcuraj naar Zavala over het eiland Hvar. De eerste 35 km zijn best smal maar vooral de directe afgrond naast de weg (soms wel enkele meters diep) zonder vangrail. Je moet hopen dat je geen bus tegenkomt in de bochten want dan kan je achteruit.

• Admir (10/5): Savršen odmor - Predivni ljudi, veoma prijatni i usluzni. Odlična lokacija odmah prvi red do mora i plaze, pogled sa balkona fantastičan. Soba veoma uredna i čista. Zavala je pedivno mjesto, tiho i savršeno za odmor. Ispunilo sva naša očekivanja i više od toga.

• Selma (10/5): Exceptional - Zavala is a hidden gem in Hvar. We stayed 2 nights in Zavala and 3 in Jelsa, and I regret not booking this property months earlier! Unlike Jelsa, Hvar and Old Town this place is not crowded and there are not many tourists. The host is pleasant, we arrived a lot earlier, at 9 AM and they already cleaned our room so we were able to come in at 9:30! That was awesome because we were very tired from all the driving during the night. The room was huge, and the view from the balcony was worth even more than the value we paid. The place itself is very small, but not crowded, there is a lot of shade just minutes from the accommodation, there is no music, quiet place to relax and spend your vacation. For those seeking to party, this is not a place to visit, but if you are looking for crystal water, peace, and relaxation I recommend it 100%. Also, all of the staff is great, they gave us ice from the restaurant and Vine opener which we did not have. Great service :) We never managed to have dinner in the restaurant of the Villa, since this was a small place it was always full :( Also, the tunnel that we needed to pass to come to Zavala was very scary, it is not for those who are scared of small dark spaces. Streets are very narrow and you should be an experienced driver when you decide to come here.

• Dragana_marković (10/5): Exceptional - With great pleasure we give the best rating to this facility and the hosts. People (Mr. Frane and his mother Sanja) obviously know how to do their job. The restaurant is on the ground floor in very nice and quiet ambience, next to the sea. The seaview from the apartment is particularly beautiful. Nice people and environment, there was no "feel like tourists". Excellent experience, all recommendations!

• Sylvia (8/5): A great place to relax. - Breakfast was great! No complaints. The bar downstairs have limited options of cocktails. They served only burgers and pizza. The hours vary. Our first day they said they weren't serving food but they brought burgers for the other guests. Maybe it was a misunderstanding because of the limited English and vice versa.

• Sile (10/5): idyllic - one of the highlights of our 3 week Croatian road trip. - Spacious, v comfortable bed, more a little apartment than just a room, mini kitchen with cooker, fridge etc, two balconies with different sea aspects, right on the sea - idyllic! Delicious breakfast, anything we wanted - Sanja encouraged us to make a sandwich with our leftovers when we were leaving. She and her son v warm and welcoming. fabulous restaurant, Stella Mare, nearby. We’d highly recommend it and definitely like to return. Driving to Zavala was a little bit scary (for us who are only getting used to mountain roads) but very doable. nothing

• Christopher (10/5): Wow, wow, wow!!! - What an amazing place! Spacious room and balcony with fantastic beach and sea views. Fabulous breakfast: eggs how you like, fresh fruit, savoury selection, local honey etc etc... The owners and staff are lovely. I had reserved a free parking place, which was vital if you have a car. We were on a road trip and our landlady so kindly did our washing, even hanging it out and folding it - so appreciated. This place is such value for money and we would come back just to stay here - for longer next time. The beach is a lovely cove with fabulous snorkelling too. We felt so at home here...

Sanya and Franco are perfect hosts, very warm and accommodating, always ready to attend to the needs of the guests and of course, this serene place. Wow! If you want a peaceful retreat, this place is highly recommended. There is also a good restaurant in the house. It’s 30 minutes away from Stari Grad ferry port in Hvar. And by the way, they serve a sumptuous breakfast! Will definitely come back! None that I can’t think of.
