Guest Reviews
- Linda (7/5): Gorgeous place pity the fridge stopped working on day 4. - Streetlight comes through I don't bedroom it would be an easy fix to have a covering on front door or bedroom entrance. That has been a complaint of many guests so you should address it. Don't let aesthetics trump practicalities.
- Katy (9/5): Cute cottage - well equipped for a short stay for a couple - Different style - nice street appeal
Kitchen well equipped
Nice fitout
Cafe over the road was great for Brekky
Self check-in Street Parking is difficult (time limit)
No door on main bedroom
No privacy in kitchen with supermarket carpark next door
Important to know there’s Extremely steep stairs to loft upstairs for single bed /second room so definitely not suitable for young children
Supermarket next door was a little noisy in mornings as is the main road where main bedroom faces but good to grab basic supplies (photo included)
- Imelda (9/5): Would rebook. Great location - The house was in a great location right next to a great supermarket and across the road from a delicious café. The beds were really comfortable.
The kitchen appliances and cookware were really great quality. The oven especially was great.
They’ll leave you with enough pods for the coffee machine to last a day or so (it’s a nespresso)The towels were thick enough a good quality plus they give you a washcloth which some places don’t.
It’s about a nine minute drive or $10 in a taxi from Franklin wharf and similar to the CBD.
I would definitely rebook this property
I stayed with three of my girlfriends and it’s rare to make everybody happy, but nobody had any complaints about this property. I only had two small suggestions to make the stay more comfortable. I mentioned these to the team and they have action them already so it’s actually a positive.
They’re too insignificant to mention
- Rodney (9/5): Amazing stay - The location and amenities. Winnie was also extremely helpful and friendly. The steps are a little steep, there isnt a tv and parking could be a slight issue.
- Liam (7/5): Very nice. Light sleeper beware - Very neat. Newly renovated Bedroom is too bright at night. Curtains are sheer and there is a bright street lamp out front. No bedroom door and more light coming through the main entrance

- Tim (7/5): Amazing cottage in a great location - location and style - we wanted something looked and felt like Hobart rather than going to a hotel. Really nicely done up and an easy walk into the city The main bedroom needs better blinds, its far too light in there due to the street light out front- I had to sleep upstairs.
IGA is great to have next door, but deliveries start at 6am.
Would have like tom have had some firewood when we arrived.
- Claire (8/5): Cosy and quaint cottage but noisy and too light. - Cosy and quaint. Warm. The kitchen and bathroom were beautifully done. The fireplace was lovely. Very noisy location on a busy road and right next to a supermarket. The bedroom was at the front of the property and being on a busy road it was very noisy. There were no block out window coverings or a door on the bedroom so light flooded the room as there was a street light right outside the window. People who are light and noise sensitive, this place is not for you. The kitchen was overlooked by the supermarket car park - suggest create more privacy. Some firewood would have been a nice touch considering the cost. A Tv would be good also.
- keely (7/5): Lovely stay - Such a cute little cottage. With a very warm & inviting feel. Loved how eco + low toxin the cleaning supplies etc were also. Great value for money & so clean. No TV. It would have been absolutely perfect if there was a small tv somewhere in the house. The main bedroom on the ground floor is also very bright during the night due to a street light & no bedroom door, so maybe some thicker curtains would have been helpful (or pack a sleeping mask!!)
- Mary (8/5): Cute cottage - good location - Very cute - loved the ceramics
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Gabrielle (10/5): A thoughtfully designed space in a central location. So nice to come home to each day :) -
- Marissa (7/5): Good -
- Jacob (9/5): Superb -
- Lindsay (10/5): Elegant and stylish. - Wonderfully architectural, homely, comfortable and really well situated. We absolutely loved “our little house” and were sad to leave it.
- Susan (9/5): A pretty and very clean little spot handy for the supermarket and historical sights. - The cottage was attractive and scrupulously clean, with a sparkling bathroom and lovely bedlinen and towels. The kitchen had some handmade pottery mugs and dishes. The location was near the Cascade Females Factory which was interesting for history buffs. My travelling companion appreciated the books about the area. The supermarket right next door was extremely convenient to pop into and had quality food and wine. We enjoyed sitting out in the little garden under the tree as it was a very hot couple of nights. It was a particularly hot couple of nights and I was in the upstairs loft which felt a little airless even with the windows open. A fan might be helpful. I (nudging 60) was ok with the stairs but I think some people might struggle with how steep they are.
- Leith (10/5): This was an exceptional stay. I loved this house; beautiful interiors and craftsmanship, thank you. - Loved the location - near cafes and easy drive to town. Some road noise but still slept well.
- Sandeepa (10/5): Exceptional - the aesthetic - cozy.
customer service nothing much. having no microwave was slightly inconvenient other than that I can't think of anything else
- Wei (9/5): Superb -
- Heidi (10/5): Exceptional - It has a lovely feel, loved all of the nice pottery and artwork.
Beautiful light in the kitchen area and it had lovely garden. It was convenient to have the grocer next door.
The beds were comfy and pillows were great. There was a great PDF describing everything There was no door on the bedroom therefore very bright with the light shining in from the front door.
It was a little noisy
There was no iron, that was a bit annoying.
- Lucas (10/5): A real architectural gem next to the city that is sure to satisfy every sense. - This is a beautiful property, immaculate in every way. It is easy to see how much love has gone into the building. Every junction is precise, detailing and materials are exact. Its got everything you need, very comfortable and in a great location.
