Guest Reviews
- Paul (5/5): Great views. - Great views from tents and lots of space on a field in front of the tents Cold showers at times. Not super comfortable beds.
- Louise (3/5): - Stains on the wall by the table, Pringles lid and straw cover from a drinks carton left in pod, staff later answers poor regarding WIFI,told us no WIFI available but try the free one ??
We paid for WIFI.
Strange answers to questions asked.
Swimming pool couldn’t be booked until we arrived but was full during our stay apart from 1 slot.
Fridge should be prioritised rather than heater in pod.

- talia (9/5): Really good, family friendly and can’t wait to come again soon! - Perfect location, great park and loved the bonus of having a swimming pool. Lovely little country pub 20 minute walk throughly enjoyed. The plastic on the mattresses was torn so pulled the sheets off when we slept as they weren’t fitted bottom sheets.
- Katie (10/5): Loved it - Beautiful location, pods are lovely! If anything the bathroom was a little cold but the water was super warm!
- Billiejean (8/5): Was a pleasant day surprised because I hate camping - Was very clean and plenty of heat and lovely and comfortable beds Nothing it was good
- Demi (10/5): Myself and my family loved our stay with you. Everything was spotless, the pods were so cosy & we had so much fun th - Immaculate all over the campsite! There was nothing to dislike. Beautiful stay thank you
- Timothy (4/5): Rude staff, uncomfortable bed and bad smell of sewage. - Location was good. Smell of sewage. Room had rubbish in from last guests. Uncomfortable bed.
- Alison (10/5): Relaxed and clean - The whole site was clean and staff were really friendly. The porter loos by the bell tents - they were really smelly.
- Catherine (10/5): Fantastic location and spotless site - we will be back ! - Fantastic pod! We even had our own mini bathroom just behind it!! Perfect!
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Stone Court House (8/5): Basic stay - Nice location Only one plug socket in room with no tea or coffee facilities or TV
- Jarek (10/5): -
- Ewa (10/5): Lovely time! 10/10 - The pod was amazing. Cosy, warm, clean and exactly what we were looking for this time of the year. Enough sockets to charge all electricts, cute bedside lamps for each bed and comfortable beds. HOT shower which is always amazing after long day :).
Excellent for time with kids!! Swimming pool and great playground.
Plenty of nature kids friendly walks nearby (dovedale stepping stones) and close to regular shops (10 minutes drive).
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND WE WILL BE COMING BACK 100%
- Jane (10/5): Great location within a lovely part of Derbyshire. Accommodation was more than comfortable with great facilities. The sw - Comfortable glamping pod which was warm. Parking on the grass wasn’t ideal as the car was beginning to tear it.

- Rachel (10/5): - Loved the lodge, perfect for what we needed. The toilet and shower were great, so warm. Wished the pool was available a little later in the day after being out.
- Charlene (10/5): - Lovely holiday park, great location, can enjoy just staying within the park if just wanting a relaxing break or plenty of walking trails and towns/villages/farms close by to explore (may require driving for 10 minutes or a long hour walk to some nearby towns). Staff and other campers very friendly. There is a variety of accommodation choices for different price ranges from pitching up your own tent or renting a holiday home static caravan.
The have an onsite play park (play time 8am til dusk) and an indoor swimming pool (booking required at reception, hourly slots between 10am - 4pm) at no extra costs, a washing area containing sinks for washing up, washing machine, microwave and freezer - all shared. And a little convenience shop if you need to top up on essentials We stayed in a pod which was lovely in itself and would definitely stay in one again, my only slight downside (more because im a squeamish person) the cobwebs containing dead crane flies and such in the outside around the door cove could have been brushed or hoovered away, and some cobwebs inside (this hardly at all, but spotted few bits on ceiling area).
One small thing (too due to being squeamish) i think the bush around the bathroom/toilet door is unnecessary and probably adding to the likelihood of spiders getting in (more so in the evening i found) and with the way the door opens too you feel you're stepping into the bush to get in. As I said very small personal issues, they definitely wouldn't put me off staying again
- Karen (10/5): Fantastic. - Cosy little pod. No kettle
- Brittany (3/5): Nice complex and location but the beds and mattresses were very poor and need changing - The complex itself had a lovely park for the kids and a good walking trail for dogs. Location to everything was good. We stayed in the new bell tents and the bed frames and mattresses were so thin we all had a bad sleep. Even the kids complained ! Reported this to reception, they was grumpy and not very helpful. They could only bring another 2 thin mattresses out of 4 and even doubled up it was still awful to lie on which made us leave a night earlier.
- Roksana (8/5): -
- Lucie (7/5): Great experience, all in all. Just a few blips - The location was fantastic, the bell tent was spacious and clean, staff were fantastic, great food on site too. The bell tent was on a slope and the bed was really uncomfortable, we did ask for an extra mattress that was immediately brought down to our tent, but it was still very uncomfortable
Also we had porta loos by our tents, and in 3 days, they weren’t emptied, it was very busy and very hot, and as a consequence very smelly.
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Anna (8/5): Great camping pod stay with two kids and would definitely stay again - Wonderful camping pod and facilities, except for to the chemical levels in the pool needing sorting we couldn’t swim when we stayed but this may have been a one off. Playground and pork palm/chip van were great Nothing and would stay again
- wasim (8/5): 2 days stay - Easy check in and out,it satisfied out stay Just the mattress on double bed was noisy on turning while sleeping
- Ant (10/5): Fabulous facilities and atmosphere - We recently booked a spontaneous getaway to Ashbourne and chose Ashbourne Heights holiday park as our home base. We opted for a charming Bell Tent for a two-night stay, and were blown away by the site's perfection! The Bell tent was an absolute delight, and the park's atmosphere was incredibly welcoming.
The staff were warm, friendly, and eager to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location is simply stunning, providing a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing weekend or longer retreat. Luckily, the weather cooperated, allowing us to unwind and recharge.
The park's facilities are top-notch, including spotless and reliable shower facilities, an indoor swimming pool, and a convenient on-site shop. The shop's selection of snacks and beverages is impressive, although we'd love to see extended opening hours. A small burger service is also available, perfect for late-afternoon arrivals.
Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we can't wait to return! Ashbourne Heights holiday park has won us over with its unique blend of natural beauty, warm hospitality, and excellent amenities.
- Lisa (8/5): - Liked almost everything. Would stop again. Double bed in pod wasn't very comfy.
- Nichola (10/5): -
- Hsiaoshan (10/5): -
- Denise (8/5): Very good - We really enjoyed it and the swimmer was a bonus first time camping and we booked a pod which was quite spacious for myself and my 3 kids The clean stuff really needs to make sure that they keep on top of the cleaning 🧹 like cleaning out the bins under the bin liners.. hoovering up all the cobwebs and the only reason I am mentioning it as my daughter doesn't like them as she is afraid of spiders 😯
fans in the bathroom needs to be cleaned out too
Also fitted sheets would be ideal as the flat sheets keep fallen off the bed
- Nikki (10/5): Exceeded expectations. - Beautiful location, exceptionally helpful staff. We stayed due to proximity to Alton Towers but loved exploring the surrounding area. The onsite shop was convenient and not over priced. Already looking forward to a repeat visit. Nothing.
- Katie (9/5): Great value for money on a very pleasant site - Very clean, laid back, good value for money. Brilliant location. Had a lot more facilities than I thought we would have! Very child friendly with the park central. Not really got any complaints! Nothing really stands out that I remember. Maybe a little kettle would have been great.
- Erin (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff, well maintained site, great yet simple facilities. Easy check in and out and a beautiful location.
- Tully (10/5): Exceptional - Pod had their own toilet Nothing
- Donna (10/5): Great accommodation! Really fun for the family -
- Leanne (6/5): Pleasant - Surrounding areas absolutely beautiful Not much to do at the actual site bit if entertainment or a bar or cafe would of been perfect if they had it
- Joanne (4/5): Disappointing - Great location, I booked via booking.com. I found the information to be very limited on what I had booked. Disappointed to arrive to find there was no kettle available or anything other than beds, covered in plastic, chairs that were past their use and a boiler fit for 2 people when the pod slept 4.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - This is our second trip here, and it certainly doesn't disappoint, smooth check in, friendly staff, stunning views and peace.
- Jessica (9/5): Absolutely loved it. Great value. Site is beautifully kept and was quiet when we went. We will definitely be returning!! - It was very clean and cute. Ideal little wooden “tent” saves the set up of your own. Beds weren’t very comfy, couldn’t do more than a couple of nights on them. And i think they need fly mesh up at doors.
- Ken (9/5): Superb -
- Kayleigh (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely pods, good location, staff friendly Good location for Alton towers
- Nicola (9/5): Fantastic - Fantastic stay! Exceeded my expectations. Staff were so helpful we will be back. N/A
- Kamal (10/5): Nice 2 day stay with the dog will definitely be coming back - Lovely location lovely staff very friendly N/a
- Carl (10/5): Perfectly located value for money stay near dovedale stepping stones - A quiet clean perfect location for walkers, value for money, on a safe site with all facilities you could ask for.
Even and inside swimming pool, laundry room, a small shop, and plenty of parking
we will be back
P.s visit the coach and horses pub/restaurant which is half a mile from the site. A fantastic bar and restaurant where the chef must have previously worked for Gordon Ramsay!! Couldn't fault it
- Gill (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lenik72 (8/5): Very good - There is plenty of green space for children to play, plus a good park. The coins look lovely. It wasn't clear about whether there were any cooking facilities, and i had messaged the site to ask if a kettle and microwave were available. I did not receive a reply, but luckily, we did take our own kettle.
- Danielle (7/5): Good -
- Katrina (8/5): Very good -
- Eden (10/5): friendly staff, gorgeous location and great value for money -
- Jazmin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Fab time making memories with the kids in the Peak District - Such a fab location for dovedale and the tissington trail. Not applicable
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Debra (9/5): A little bit of luxury glamping! - The glamping pod was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and have an (outdoor) en-suite toilet and shower was real luxury. The pod was spacious and heated plus we also had the outdoor space too. We didn’t have time to use the pool but the playground and laundry facilities were great. Perfect location.
- Gillian (8/5): Weekend walkers - We enjoyed the pod format and the location of the site, near the Tissington trail with access to lots of walks. Having a swimming pool on site was good to make use of too.
Old dog pub nearby was excellent. It was warm in the pod at night, especially with plastic covered mattresses. A kettle and fridge could have been a bit more useful.
The light sensor in the bathroom could have been set for longer in the bathroom.
- Emma (10/5): Lovely comfortable and beautiful location - Lovely location and what we needed for a two day trip to Alton towers No cooking facilities
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely weekend in our cosy pod. We loved the toilet was private and close to the pod. The shower was so hot it was lovely 😍 Maybe a tv just to pass the time in the evening
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Tinckham (8/5): A lovely spot to rest after long days in Alton Towers, very reasonable. - We had a great stay at Ashbourne Heights, we were in a pod. 2 bunk beds and a double bed, basic but really clean. Take fitted sheets with you as the flat sheets slide straight off the mattress. About 25 minutes to Alton Towers. The staff stayed late to book us in and were really helpful with where to get food and how much time to leave for the theme park.
A lovely big new playground was a great hit with the kids. Plenty of USB sockets in the pod. Fitted sheets on the beds would be the only thing I would change. It was all clean and well kept.
- Helena (8/5): Lovely Location & Great Facilities - Lovely location and great facilities. We loved our short stay and will definitely come back.
The pod would benefit a small fridge as it's difficult to keep anything cool as the pods get very warm in the sun. The mattress was also really uncomfortable and plastic topped.
- Hedi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (10/5): Great company great location great food. Happy dog happy dog parents! - Fabulous staff, very dog friendly. Fabulous food. Great location. Lovely to see a pub so full these days. N/a
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debbie (7/5): Enjoyed but Very Disappointed with the cleanliness - Senery Filthy under beds , broken bed leg I reported but didn’t repair , we both got dust allergies
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cherrelle&ben (10/5): Brief but super pleasant base! - Clean, quiet and private en-suite just outside which was also clean.
Excellent value for money! Nothing!
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marium (8/5): Very good -
- Debbie (7/5): Good -
- Eilish (9/5): Lovely little glamping get away. - The facilities were good really warm pool and playground for children. Need more lights when driving into the property at night. Quite dangerous and easy to miss.
- Anna (10/5): Great family place to stay - Facilities, play area, swimming pool, toilets and accommodation Can’t say anything bad
- Ninette (9/5): Brilliant half term stay - Location brilliant pod brilliant would be better if there was a kettle we went and asked for 1 so grateful thanks bed a bit creeky everytime you turn over but can't fault it thank you to tge amazing staff
- Wilson (8/5): Peak district adventure - Location was superb. Very scenic & quiet.
Pod was comfortable & our boys loved it.
Park was good & we also used the swimming pool (pre-booking required) Our boiler wasn't working, so couldn't use the shower, but there was a shower block close by.
Light flickered off all the time in the toilet.
- Eva (8/5): Very good -
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julita (10/5): Exceptional - we were 2 adults 2 children and two Golden retriever dogs. the small house really worked for us. We only had to buy a kettle because there was no kettle in the house but we had information that there is no kitchen in the small houses. we liked it very much we will definitely come back
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (9/5): We had a really lovely time away together. - It was fun, comfy, clean and ideal for one night. N/A
- Lorna (8/5): Ashbourne Heights - The site was well maintained, good play area, great to have a swimming pool and a shop with basic supplies, but acceptable. The location was great for what we wanted to do/visit. I didn't like not having hot water to the ensuite shower or outside tap as we should have. Luckily, the communal showers were close by and we used hot water from the neighbouring pod to wash our dishes.
- Danny (8/5): Very good -
- Chlebowska (9/5): Superb -
- Andy (3/5): Lovely pace but terrible beds. - Location was lovely and the staff were really nice and friendly. The whole place looks extremely clean. The pod we were in was nice and we couldn't have asked for more. It was just somewhere to stay for a night or two so we weren't looking for anything huge. The problem was the beds and pillows. Pillows were so thin it made them pointless. I had to put a hoodie under it just to get a bit of leverage. And the mattresses in the doubles bed and both bunk beds still had a plastic coating over them. Add that to the non fitted sheet, it meant that everytime you moved the sheets moved with you. Out of the 4 of us in the room, not one person had a good night's sleep. I would even say that it was one of the worst nights sleep that I have ever had. Such a shame as everything else in the place looked outstanding.
