- Joanna (10/5): Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality! The hotel, the views, and the exceptional kindness - n/a
- Niklas (10/5): - Beautiful setting and strategically located close to the trail head of choquequirao. The owners don Bito and doña Cristina received us exceptionally with such warmth. They went above and beyond to make our stay nice, and provided valuable information for the upcoming trek. They basically helped us organize he upcoming days. We were very thankful for that. Also doña Cristina is an exceptional cook. Dinner was 5 star and breakfast was also amazing. Best way to start a 4 day trekking adventure to choque.
- Noah (5/5): It was okay - Cool spot in the village Food wasn’t that great and was very over priced
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional - Very welcoming and chilling atmosphere. The host is super helpful and a passionate cook. The food is awesome for good price.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - The food included was the best I’ve eaten in South America. The staff went above and beyond to cater to all our needs. And the location was truly stunning. Having to leave
- Laura (10/5): pretty hostel with nice vibes and yummy food - great place to stay before the choquequirao trek. had dinner and breakfast there and the food was delicious—homemade jam and avocado for breakfast!
- Jimena (9/5): Miguel is a great host preparing us dinner and a delicious breakfast! Highly recommend! -
- Peter (10/5): Best option in Cachora - The hotel has comfortable and warm beds, a nice deck with a view to relax on, a garden and a rustic design that suites the mountains. The wifi worked well and the hotel was clean.
The caretaker Miguel was very friendly and happy to share information about the area and trekking options. He is also a great chef and prepares all the meals, using plenty of local ingredients. Tour and transport options are provided by the hotel. .
- Carina (6/5): Pleasant - The breakfast was nice with homemade bread. They drove us to Capuliyoc for 80 Soles. We arrived around 9 pm and the booked room had not been prepared for us. At first we had no towels or bed sheets. After we asked for it, bedsheets and towels were provided.
- Stefani (1/5): Rip off - Nothing really, the only good thing is their position which is ok for the Choquequirao trek. As soon as ve arrived, we realized that there is no power in the whole town. So no charging devices and no warm water for a last hot shower before a 8 days trek to Machu Picchu. Obviously it's not the hotels fault but when we asked for a discount, since we couldn't or didn't use any of the facilities, they said no. I know, that they can't make a discount on the amount that we declared to pay via booking, but they wouldn't even give us a discount on the taxi to the start of the trek. The beds are like laying on pure rocks, to be honest we slept better on our 8 days trek in our tent. The breakfast was very bad too, we got one slice of bread each and half an avocado. The woman working there was really unfriendly, you would not see one smile on her face. This was by far the most expensive hotel in 6 weeks of Peru-travels and totally not worth the price.
- Ocafrain (5/5): No great. - The add said 2.6m from Saywite, the site I wanted to visite. However, it was half an hour away by car. It cost me an extra 30 soles taxi.
The shower was cold and the room was cold.
