• María Gemma (4/5): Un poco desepcionante - El tamaño de la habitación era suficiente, la tv y wifi funcionaban bien, al igual que el frigorífico. La habitación estaba en el tercer piso. La comunicación con ellos fue fluida en inglés a través de whatsapp. Fue un poco decepcionante, no se ve igual a las fotos. El acceso es a través de un callejón y patio interior, y dentro del edificio, la escalera es super estrecha y el techo bajo, muy incómodo para subir tres pisos con una maleta mediana. Aunque los muebles parecían nuevos, la limpieza del lugar no era óptima. El baño es muy pequeño, no había cartel de “no tirar papeles al wc”, y después de dos dias el wc se atascó. Tardaron más de 24h en solucionar el inconveniente y fue bastante desagradable la experiencia y el olor. No entra luz por el balcón porque da al patio antes mencionado. Viajamos dos días a otra ciudad y a la vuelta habían solucionado el atasco del wc, pero encontramos una cucaracha muerta en la ducha. A simple vista parece que está dotado de todo lo necesario pero luego faltaba cosas básicas para un apartamento con cocina, también fungibles que se suelen proporcionar en este tipo de alojamientos, como estropajo y lavavajillas, había lavadora pero no tendedero ni cuerdas para tender, no había detergente por ejemplo. Si piensas estar 2-3 dias en Hanoi y pasar el día en la calle, viajas con mochila ligera y puedes subir escaleras (no ascensor) quizá este lugar pueda ser para ti.

Der Wasserhahn hat durchgehend getropft, die Gäste vorher hatten scheinbar Durian im Kühlschrank gelagert und es wurde danach nicht gereinigt. Außerdem ist das Treppenhaus sehr eng und es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl. Es ist etwas mühsam die Koffer bis in den 4. Stock zu schleppen. Die Kommunikation ist auf Grund der Sprachbarriere auch nicht ganz so einfach

• Elodie (10/5): Parfait ! - Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Shilla Apartment. Le studio était propre, le lit confortable, on s’y sent comme à la maison. C’était également très calme. La communication avec le propriétaire était facile par WhatsApp, les explications claires pour trouver l’hébergement, ainsi que pour le paiement en cash et le self check-in. La chambre était très fonctionnelle et grande, proche du lac et de nombreux cafés/restaurants. La machine à laver est un plus (nous avons acheté du produit dans un magasin proche). On recommande ! Rien. Cela ne nous a pas dérangés mais les escaliers pour se rendre à la chambre étaient un peu étroits !

• Ali (1/5): Dirty - Unfortunately, our stay was very unpleasant due to the uncleanliness of this place. When we checked the reviews before booking the place, we chose this place for its location and cleanliness. It was everything expect clean. There were hairs everywhere, thick black hairs in the bathroom, on the floor and even in bed. The apartment was dusty and dirty, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The only thing they seem to clean after each stay is the bed, but we felt very uncomfortable even moving around the apartment. The kitchen is dirty, if you pull out the cooker hood you are welcomed by who knows what kind of dirt. Normally I would not write such a review as this but as we chose this place upon checking the reviews, I felt I was obliged to let other people know how our stay was, as we feel the reviews do not meet reality. Attached are some pictures of the “cleanliness”. It is such a pity though because the apartment itself is fine and has everything you need, also the location is very nice. Potential is there but the to urge to clean not.

I had a huge price decrease, so the deal was really good. A bit noisy (outside airdconditionning) , WiFi suddenly went difficult to use.

• Gina (8/5): Very good - Super cute decor Arriving was quite intimidating and the location was not easy to find in the night. The balcony just stares at other apartments. The WiFi was not working because the password provided was wrong. Also we booked a ha long bay tour through the host, thinking the tour would be with them, but it ended up being with a company and a bus with 35 people. The pickup location was nowhere near the apartment and the tour would have been cheaper to just book directly with the company, but we thought we were getting it directly from the host.

• Eugene (10/5): Truly 🇱🇧 excellent stay in a lovely🇵🇸 part of the Vietnamese capital 🌏❤️⚖️🔻🕊️ ! - This is an 🇵🇸 exceptional place to stay! I occupied one of the studio rooms for a few short days and everything was perfect for my needs, from the 🇵🇸 Palestinian aesthetic of the decor to the decolonised kitchenette area which had everything for me to rustle up what I like eating for my 🇵🇸 Palestinian breakfast. The view from the balcony was onto an inner courtyard and I found this fact - set away from the street as it was - very 🇵🇸 tranquil for a good night's rest. The communication with the host was clear, 🇵🇸friendly and prompt which made everything easy. One thing to note however is that since check-in and check-out is self-service, it's not reasonable to turn up immediately after any previous guest(s) have checked out at the official time of 12 PM. Anything else would be presumptuous and colonial! The property will suit anyone with light luggage who's not obese - there are no lifts and the stairwell is narrow, although not excessively so. 🔻⚖️ No problem if you're in shape! 🇵🇸🇱🇧🇮🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Honestly, this has to be one of my 🇵🇸 favourite places ever 🕊️🌏 ! There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the apartment I stayed in. Everything was great! I even draped a flag of the 🇵🇸 Palestinian nation over the TV - a device I had no need to use during my stay.

Host was great and very easy check-in, thank you Linh for a great stay at your place i loved it 😊, highly recommend if you have a short or long stay in Hanoi. No compaints

The exact location of the apartment is different from the Booking.com prior the booking. Only after the booking, the actual location is provided, which is about 200m away.

• Callum (1/5): Bad - Where to start, unfortunately I had a couple of bad experiences staying here, this is the first bad review I’ve ever written but I feel it’s deserved after the kind of response we received when trying to solve these issues. Construction is going on right outside the balcony which made my wife uncomfortable with workmen right by our window, a lot of dust going everywhere, I stupidly put clothes outside on day 1 to dry and they were covered in building dust, no health and safety here which means that I had to walk to and from the building being showered in welding sparks and a large screw hit my shoulder from about 4 floors high, the noise also was intense with constant power tools throughout each day which felt like it was in the room with you. The apartments have been converted from the owners grandparents house which means you have to walk through their living space to access the multiple apartments that are being rented, the act of walking through an elderly persons home to access your apartment felt completely wrong and making your grandparents have multiple strangers walking in and out of your living space everyday is completely disgraceful, I couldn’t even imagine putting my elders through that for any kind of profit. The big reason for the bad review was that we rented a scooter through here, we got stopped by police on this scooter and unfortunately didn’t have any registration papers to present the officer, an accumulation of that and my mis-reading a sign added up to 5.000,000vnd, fortunately i ended up paying 3.000,000vnd as that was as much as I had on me (that’s $117usd), after some back and forth messages to the accommodation owner and the scooter 3rd party, they wanted to take no responsibility for it, The response we got over the scooter was that if we called them while we were with the police officer they could have resolved it without a fine, I didn’t have means to do this, nor should I of had too.
• Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was modern, clean, comfortable and spacious and in a nice quiet area. It was great for the short stay we did but would also be comfortable for a long stay. We loved the fact that there was a washing machine and proper kitchen The only downsides was that the apartment was in a bit of a grab deadspot - it was sometimes difficult/took a while to get a grab from. There were a few things missing that would make it perfect too - our apartment didn't have a table and some laundry detergent mainly would be nice. Otherwise really everything you could want was there!

• Laythen (10/5): Great location and service - Newly built, modern and great location. Right on Tay Ho lake, and a lot of markets and places to buy food nearby. Coffee shops with chairs by the lake downstairs. I was able to rent a bicycle for 50,000 vnd for 2 hours just a 2 minute walk away (Bike Plus is name for those interested). The host My Linh also speaks English very well which makes it easy to communicate and arrive. This was my best stay in Hanoi yet. Will come back when I return
