• Shelley (10/5): Beautiful apartment in the gorgeous Castel Gandolfo - Gorgeous property, modern with everything you need and spotlessly clean. Quiet on an evening and the bed and pillows were a 10/10 for me! Sergio was there to help with any queries we had. Castel Gandolfo is beautiful and such a peaceful place to stay if you’re exploring Rome which is only 35 mins on the train. The walk from the train station is hilly but we loved it, the views of the lake are stunning. Didn’t want to come home, will definitely return. Nothing to dislike

• Olga (10/5): - Bydleli jsme v historickém centru s krásnou atmosférou. Asi 20 minut od vlakového nádraží, takže jsme měli možnost podívat se do Říma (cca 45 minut, lístek není drahý). Ubytování bylo útulné, čisté, dobře vybavené. Komunikace s majitelem super. Děkujeme!

• Xavier (10/5): Exceptionnel - Tout était parfait : appartement chaleureux, spacieux, bien équipé . Vue sur le dôme de l'église d'un côté, et petite vue sur le Lac d'un autre. La place du village est à 3 minutes à pied, avec petits bars très agréables. La montée depuis la gare avec des valises est un peu violente, mais ça vaut le coup (précision : il n'y avait aucun bus pendant notre séjour) ! Une plage libre tout en bas de la route (à pied : 20 minutes à l'aller, 30 minutes au retour). En un seul mot : Exceptionnel ! Rien

• Donha (10/5): Well kept apartment in the beautiful streets of Castel Gandolfo - The apartment looks better in real life than on the pictures. The location is amazing, it's located in the historical centre, round the corner from the Papal Residence. Visitors should be careful re. time of arrival - we arrived on Saturday 6pm (there's no links from the train station to the centre at the time (the minivan link is on week days around 5 times a day). The walk is supposed to be "15 minutes", however it's uphill stairs and therefore all luggage has to be carried (just keep it in mind). Since we visited in January, there was no tourism at all and most restaurants were closed even during the day however especially in the evening. A taxi from the lake to the apartment was €30 for a few minutes ride due to this (the taxi was also very difficult to find as all Freenow drivers were declining our request). Castelgandolfo is surely worth to visit however I would choose Spring/ Summer. Casa Matta is recommended :)

• Inga (10/5): Exceptional - Apartments located in the very center of the city. Clean and tidy. There is heating, but the floors are cold in November, so we recommend bringing indoor footwear. However, during warmer months, this could be an advantage. There’s a café below the windows, so you might hear people chatting. Sergio was attentive and responded quickly to any requests. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay!
• Neil (10/5): Wonderful stay in Castel Gandolfo - The apartment has an excellent location with little shops, restaurants and the main square all within less than a 5 min walk. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

• Efstathios (10/5): A perfect stay in the centre of Castel Gandolfo. - The location could not have been better. Right next to the square full of restaurants and bars. The apartment was very spacious and more than enough for two people. All amenities provided (iron, hairdryer, coffee machine, ironing board, safe, board games, ac in both rooms). Host was great providing so much information about the town and places around. Nothing to be honest. Everything was perfect.

• Fiona (10/5): A beautiful place to stay, so close to Rome, but a world away. - The location is perfect-restaurants and bars on every corner, a lovely grocer if you want fresh produce, close to the papal palace if you want to visit. The apartment is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The lakeside area is beautiful and you can easily walk down for the day (and back up) if you are reasonably fit. I should have done my homework about getting up to the town from the station. The link bus is spasmodic at best. It is an easy uphill walk but luggage makes it a little trickier.

• Becky (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect, close to the water, in a pleasant alleyway with the alley way next door being very popular with many food options, 1 minute walk.. no balcony but the windows opened up large and wide surrounding the apartment, had a washed and did laundry, clothes line available out of the window, bed comfy all good.. didn't meet host was all done online but communication was extremely fast, we did get a little lost at first but he redirected us easily No direct parking on site but host gave many options nearby for free parking, short walk, car lot felt safe no issues with that We couldn't find a wine opener, they had literally everything else so I believe someone may have taken theirs because with how well it was equipped it didn't make sense we couldn't find one - all nearby wine stores will just open your wine for you anyway

• Grof (10/5): a m a z i n g - Rome is fantastic city, I visited many times, but Castel Gandolfo is really excellent place to stay. Real Italy. Apartment is full equipped and very comfortable. We traveled with 3 old kid, it was great, heating, all equipment, even Ikea glasses for children. Location, stunning. I like the center, delicious food from the restaurants and of course Italian moving. wine corkscrew was not in the apartment :) and when you are in Italy, you drink their wine. But I take it from the restaurant. It is really excellent place to stay. I will stay again.
• Elza (10/5): Perfect place if you want relax with no crowds! - Apartment is clean, beautiful and spacious! Location is amazing! So many great places where to eat around the apartment! 40min with train to Roma termini! We enjoyed staying in Castel Gandolfo - away from the crowds!
