• Clare (10/5): We had the perfect we, lovely flat very comfortable would highly recommend staying here, but if hills and stairs aren’t - The accommodation was spacious, and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the city, it’s close to the shops, restaurants, things to do and the train station. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, but felt having someone manuals for the cooker and other equipment would have helped.
• Aubrey (7/5): Great location, but noisy - The actual location of this place was great. It was pretty central to most things we wanted to see in the city. The layout worked pretty well for our family of 4. It was nice to stay in and cook a few meals. The location was off of a very busy street. Every morning the same dog barks outside at 8am and people talk outside your back bedroom windows till after midnight. The windows are just there for looks, they do not block out any noise at all. This is an old building with old parts so just be aware of that when you book.

• Pauline (10/5): Perfect stay in a perfect location! - Great location! Marion was a very gracious and super helpful host and very responsive to all of our inquiries. Also, check-in was super easy. No elevator but we knew that beforehand.
• Marie (10/5): Perfect location, perfect host, definitely will be back again - The property was right on the royal mile and close to the sightseeing bus stop so perfect location for a weekend break. Apartment had everything we needed and very comfortable for 5 adults. We will be recommending to anyone who is going to Edinburgh It did take us a little time finding the apartment, maybe include a picture of cafe across the road to help with directions

• Andrew (9/5): Perfect, dog friendly location for enjoying the old town area of Edinburgh. - Location was fabulous right at the end of the Royal Mile. Numerous bars cafes & restaurants nearby. Property was clean & spacious, with good WiFi. Two bedrooms both made up a doubles with a travel cot available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Dog friendly also which was a necessity for us Although we knew about it, so cannot complain the staircase was a bit awkward for carrying cases & pan etc. Kitchen is a little tired but still functional & pleasant but overall we had an excellent stay.

• Sascha (9/5): Charmantes Wohnen an der Royal Mile - Die perfekte Lage direkt an der Royal Mile. Der unkomplizierte und freundliche Kontakt mit der Vermieterin. Auch die Zimmer waren genau richtig für unseren Aufenthalt. 100m zur Toolboth Tavern.Wir würden wieder kommen.

• Andrew (10/5): A perfect Edinburgh apartment for our needs! - The property was perfect for our stay!! Clean and well maintained. Living area / kitchen smallish and cosy but perfect for a city stay. Bedrooms large and comfortable beds! Location outstanding!! Could not be better located. Plus Marion the owner was so helpful, friendly, generous and accommodating. We had zero problems but I could imagine if an issue arose, she would have sorted it out immediately. Absolutely nothing!

• Katie (9/5): Worthy of booking if travelling to Edinburgh, very central - The apartment was nice, kitchen was a bit tired and could do with a bit of tlc but for a holiday let it was ok. The overall apartment was nice and had everything you need. We don’t mind but if you don’t like stairs this is not the apartment for you

• Judith (8/5): Brilliant apartment, awesome location and very clean and roomy. - The location being right on the Royal Mile and walking distance from the train station was brilliant. It was clean, well appointed and the bedrooms were amazing. Kitchen and living space is small but it covers all the needs. I really enjoyed it there. It is up several floors so 50 steps in all and my friend found that very difficult. I wrote to the host before I left australia and she missed my email. Then I wrote two other emails to her - while in the apartment (we stayed a week) and no response at all. I found that disappointing especially the final email as it was relevant for the next guests coming in.

• Oona (10/5): A confortable flat in town. - Très bien placé, au centre de la vieille ville, équipement au top, chambres à demi étage spacieuses et très claires, literie exceptionnelle. Du soleil le matin dans les chambres. La cuisine avec des équipements parfaits. Le coin salon avec 2 canapés un peu encombrants réduisant la partie repas cependant. La table de la cuisine est très étroite et petite pour un repas à 4. Il faut pousser le canapé pour s'asseoir. Si vous arrivez en voiture, il n'y a pas de place de stationnement en bas de l'immeuble, il faut faire très vite ! Avant de trouver un parking au loin'!

• anja marie (9/5): Flott og stor leilighet sentralt i Edinburgh! - Veldig sentral og fin leilighet i enden av Royal Mile. Slik at det er ikke mye støy. Soverommene er store og fine med behagelige senger. Likte leiligheten godt. Fint bad! Perfekt for to par eller 4 venner. Til prisen vi betalte kunne det vært shampoo og bodywash i dusjen. Og vi fikk kun kaffekapsler til en dag, og ikke to. Det er den eneste feedbacken, utenom det hadde vi et supert opphold.

It says that someone was meeting us but no one was there & no means of contacting except sending thru booking.com w/c was not time efficient. It was a blessing that the Ms. Audrey (owner of the flat upstairs) came home or we would be stucked on the alley like the previous renter/occupants of the apartment.Ms. Audrey texted & called the owner 2x before getting the access 🥲

Very close to royal mile attractions, but just far enough not to be noisy Had a few issues and host was very responsive and corrected everything she could Beds were hard. January trip, so outside temperatures hovered at freezing. Older single pane windows that leaked. The heating couldn't keep up and never got above 64F/18C. Very cold in the apartment. Probably fine when it isn't freezing outside

Checkout was 1030 but we got disturbed just before 10am with a random man dropping things off for the cleaner. The owner of the property kindly sorted this out for us and assured it won’t happen again.

• Sophie (10/5): Huge apartment right on the Royal Mile. - Obsessed. Myself and 4 friends stayed here for a night in Edinburgh and we were blown away. Huge and massively spacious apartment, right on the Royal Mile in the centre of everything. Big bedrooms, seriously comfy beds and pillows, massive bathroom with big shower and great pressure. Spotless and clean. Easy check in. With 5 of us it was extremely good value for money for Edinburgh. We literally cannot fault this place.

• Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - The location was fantastic! Right on the Royal Mile. The apartment was comfortable for a family of 4 adults. It was across the street from a cafe and a half block away from a grocery store. We really enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. It was minor but carrying luggage up two flights of stairs was not ideal. Noise level from people late at night in the courtyard and street traffic from trucks early in the morning was a bit annoying. However, I would say not unusual for a stay in the heart of a tourist city.

• Amanda (7/5): We enjoyed our short stay in Edinburgh and Royal Mile apartment was a lovely retreat from the busy - Spacious and comfortable apartment in a great location. Quiet, yet close to station and city centre. Well equipped Kitchen and characterful period property. The host couldn’t meet us on arrival, as arranged, so we used the key box. Not suitable for elderly or guests with mobility problems-three sets of stone steps to apartment. The shower didn’t drain properly, and filled with water. Not easy to operate the oven. An instruction manual would be helpful, as would a welcome pack with recommendations for places to eat, etc.

Marion was very helpful and prompt at replying to any queries I had and check in details were quick and easy. fully equipped kitchen and having a fire stick for the TV was an added bonus. • Tom (9/5): Great stay right on The Royal Mile - Great location! Really clean and well cared for. Easy to access. Laundry on site, as well as fridge and full kitchen with dishes. We really liked everything about this place. It was a little tricky to find at first. The small gate entry way is easy to miss if you're caught up in a crowd on the sidewalk.
• Xiaohe (8/5): Good location. - The location is pretty great just down the street of the Mile End, near from the train station and many restaurants nearby. The building is old and traditional, I like it. The host is very nice and responds to messages very promptly. If these could be improved I'm happy to stay here again: 1. The mattress was not very comfortable and had some collapse. 2. Towels have some stains so we didn't use them. 3. Also the bathroom shower drain was faulty and clogged easily and the shower made a lot of noise when showering. It could be originating from the water heater. 4. The kitchen table legs were unstable.

• Elisabeth (8/5): Lovely apartment on the royal mile within walking distance to most of the attractions in edinburgh. - The keys weren't left in the lockbox as described. so we had to wait for the cleaner to come and let us in. Made us rushed for going to see the show we came to edinburgh for but it was resolved after a short time. Was a genuine mistake so no harm done really. Nothing, apartment was a decent size and was clean.

• Brie (9/5): Superb - Great stay here - perfect location to walk and explore Edinburgh. Right on the doorstep of Royal mile which was perfect. Apartment had everything by we needed for our stay and accommodated our group of five very easily.
• Ana (10/5): Top choice! - The apartment was excellent! We were nicely surprised! Top location, spacious rooms, really comfortable beds, lovely victorian style windows, large bathroom, nice decorations and kind host! Wardrobe drawers should be checked for cleaning.

• Nadine (8/5): Very good - All fantastic! Very tasteful, rooms lovely and big. Host very accommodating. The stair ways leading up to the apartment are steep and a few floors and look quite tired. Apart from that all great.
• Anna (8/5): All in all a good place to stay -would stay again. - Great location and apartment did the job. Only small thing was that the walls were all scuffed and we really struggled to shut the curtains. Nothing a wee paint job and new curtains wouldn’t fix.

A blind in the bathroom would have been nice, and a new toilet brush wouldn’t go amiss as there was evidence of a previous person’s toilet visit on the one in the bathroom.
