Guest Reviews
- Sylvia (8/5): - 2 bedrooms with double beds . Fridge was useful lots of big windows to open . Comfortable beds No fan. Could have done with more pillows, there was only 1 extra 1. took us a while to locate towels.
- Sara (8/5): - Convenient for the train into Cardiff.
Clean, compact, but well done.
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Hamraa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (4/5): Genuine review. Would not recommend. - The location and bed were comfy. The flat was clean in itself and it had a terrace. Very basic facilities. No bottle opener. The terrace had no seats or anything so we could stand out there in the sun but that was it. The worst thing about the flat was the smell of raw sewage coming from the drains/toilet it was absolutely horrendous and made us feel physically sick. The bathroom was right off the bedroom too so it was not a nice sleep because any time we opened the bathroom door the smell came into the flat. Due to that I definitely would not recommend or stay again and for the price it was definitely not worth it.
- Rebecca (8/5): Great place! - Lovely little location, convenient for Penarth and Cardiff. Host was lovely when spoken to on the phone. Only 2 towels for 3 people though and rose petals behind bed but otherwise clean and would stay again.
- Paul (2/5): Very poor -
- Scott (4/5): Ok location not good flat - Location We booked for 3 people only 1 bed and the sofa bed had no bedding so had to go buy some.
The decking is very slippery and full rubbish and old cigarette ends.
The bathroom was tiny couldn't get proper shower and the sink was a joke couldn't even rinse face in it so small and under a massive cupboard
- Rafa (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (3/5): Kitchen not a suitable bedroom - Okay stay for one or a couple. But not suitable for three. - The location is convenient for Sports Village / Ice Hockey.
And Cogan station. Front door had no lock which was a concerning start. And there was way too much noise and loud music from guests upstairs.
Subsequently it did not feel suitable to leave child sleeping in kitchen next to a noisy corridor. So I took the Futon in the kitchen which also only had hard cold floor (no mat as in picture). The futon is not suitable to sleep an adult. It tipped over during the night. I had a terrible night's sleep with noise from fridge, traffic and upstairs.
My partner and child had a good nights sleep in the bedroom although there was a slight damp smell from toilet / bathroom. And the bedside lamp didn't work.
- Dawn (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (4/5): Disappointing - Location and convenience. Sink and shower backs up. Plumbing needs to be sorted, shower hanging off wall. Biscuit on floor. Smell wasnt great.
- Charlotte (7/5): Short but sweet! - Only stayed for one night but was So cozy and nice lovely kitchen and the bed was so comfy we liked how the telly had a few apps to have a nice relaxing watch!
Smelt lovely and was very clean! Everything was good apart from the shower we turned it on and the little shower head sprayed at us getting us soaked.. and the top shower was hanging out of the wall!
When we had a shower the tray was filling with water very quickly therefore leaving a foot pool but overall wasn’t to bad
- Chris (8/5): Windsor rd penarth - Liked the fact it was located close to Penarth pier and Llandough hospital was literally 5 mins away which was handy for my partner as she had appointment the nxt morning .
- Marilyn (9/5): Superb -
- Gudjon (8/5): Very good -
- Roheet (7/5): Could be better - Beds are quite uncomfortable, specially the sofa cum bad is very poor quality.
- Georgia (8/5): Nice cosy apartment - It was comfortable and cosy. Everything was great. The other apartment kept their front door open the majority of the stay which meant we could hear them quite often and also the smell of cannabis radiated from their apartment.
- Aisha (9/5): Cosy, cute stay, great host - Nice clean and cosy, very responsive host
- Mohamad (6/5): Pleasant - Space Bed not comfortable and the sofa bed not good at all for a child or adults to sleep
- Tyrese (8/5): Very good -
- James (7/5): Good -
- Faye (3/5): Only the desperate would book this place. - Not very much, grotty area. Sofa bed was as hard as a board. We were expecting to get a good night's sleep pre marathon.
Oven was dirty and when used, the uncleaned bottom of the oven smoked and set off smoke alarm in communal hallway, the one in the premises didn't go off!
Fridge and freezer didn't work.
Wash basin is so small with a cabinet above it that you cannot use it to wash.
No bathmat. Towels very thin.
We had to hunt for extra bedding, although we had booked for three people.
Not enough plates or cutlery.
On a main and busy road.
This is not at all good value for the cost.
- Rhys (7/5): Overall I enjoyed my stay - Very spacious property with everything you need for a couple of days away. All cooking utensils needed, and nice kitchen if cooking. WiFi and TV. Large balcony area. Near Cardiff bay The fridge/freezer didn't seem to be working. Bathroom a bit small. No sea views as per pictures, quite deceiving
- Anna (8/5): Good accommodation, if you don't mind the location and parking problem - Groundfloor flat, nicely set out with all conveniences for self-catering. Double glazing cuts out the front street noise. Tesco supermarket a 10min walk away (Walk; don't risk losing your parking place!). On very busy street in Cogan. Parking was a problem; front street has restricted or no parking, and too trafficky; you have to prowl the 3-4 streets behind to find a space. On arrival we couldn't find a space; rang host, who wasn't polite when I said the listing on Booking.com was misleading as it implied that there was parking associated with the flat. (Note: 'free parking' means take-a-chance-with-street-parking-a-few-streets-away.)
- Daniel (3/5): Very bad - I did not like the property The bed was tiny could not fit me and my partner on also the toilet was siting wonky and also the balcony you could not access and also the people staying above were making lots of noise the whole night so did not end up sleeping was not happy with the apartment and had I known i would not have stayed and requested a refund
- Qiang (10/5): Accessible communication. It's great. - Very clean and tidy There's a yellow line. You can park on the next street.
- Nikolaos (9/5): Superb -
- Ashleigh (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (8/5): Good value for money ☺️ - It’s a super clean warm & comfortable space. One of the best beds we’ve experienced despite being only a double ☺️Surprisingly quiet considering it was a busy street. The bus stop was a very short walk. Check in super easy. Tesco a short walk. Parking is a first in best dressed & tested my reverse parking skills (#expert) the location is ok, very close to the waterfront which was nice.
- Jonathan (10/5): Great value for money would definitely stay here again! - Great location and the host Krsytyna was so helpful and easy to deal with The en-suite being the only bathroom can be tricky if you have a third person in the lounge but other than that would highly recommend
