Guest Reviews
- Erin (8/5): - House was clean and comfortable. Our aircon broke towards the end of the holiday but they sent someone to fix it within the hour- very hospitable.
- Nerusha (3/5): Not worth it - No water in one of the bathrooms, no hot weather in the others. Room doors are broken , windows all have gaps in them and do not close
Properly. Badly built and thereafter poorly maintained. Ok for a big big group looking for a “cheap” place to stay.
We were only 7 of us - but would have been better of one of places along the beach for this price! Poorly maintained,
- Gemma (8/5): Great space - The house was perfect for our needs. Great size and space. Easy to check in and Daniel looked after us
Beds were super comfy too. There could be some small touches like hooks for towels and mirrors in the bedrooms.
A side lamp or two.
Some of the showers flooded the bathrooms because the curtain was not sufficient.
The parties around us were a bit wild and kept us up but in the week it was much quieter.

- Nomvula (8/5): My overall stay was great, I really enjoyed my stay there. - The house is big, and with everything you need. It is a walking distance to the center which was great. The showers were flooding
- Jose (4/5): Go but confirm the cleanliness before - The property has a guard permanently in the facilities to keep the house safe, deliver the keys and open the gate. The house appears not to have been used for a long time. It was very dusty and the bedsheets had a strange smell.

- Charlene (3/5): Poor - Location Unfortunately our experience with Casa Cinza was not a very good one.
On arrival the this house showed such potential and we were very pleased with our choice of accommodation for our long weekend, however that feeling did not last for the entire stay.
One of the main reasons we booked the accommodation was for the WiFi, yes internet should not matter when one is on holiday but two members of our party had to continue to work remotely during their holiday, for that reason we specifically chose accommodation that included WiFi service. We are not unreasonable and do understand that the cyclone may have affected the installed internet connection and when we arrived they did give us a mobile modem to use in the interim and we were told someone would be coming in to fix the permanent connection on Saturday morning. Nobody came to fix it and the manager did not follow up with the company or with us to see if anyone had been. We were then left without WiFi for most of Saturday and Sunday and although they did load more data on the mobile modem it had stopped working again by Monday morning.
Cleanliness was non existent here. After the first night we awoke on Saturday morning to the kitchen swarming with cockroaches!
When we told the cleaning lady she seemed shocked and we showed her the cockroaches that remained. One would think they would then make a plan and possibly leave a tin of insecticide for us to try control the cockroaches during our stay. We were left with having to constantly look for places to store our groceries where the cockroaches could not reach them.
We ate out at the local restaurants for most of our meals but when we needed to use the facilities to cook our own meal on Saturday night, it became quite clear as to why the cockroach infestation was so bad. There were dirty greasy dishes in the cupboards that had not been cleaned after the previous guests had departed.
- Janice (9/5): Superb -
- Nurânia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Arlindo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shakoor (8/5): Very good - Spacious accommodation. Good value for money. Located in close proximity to all activities.
- Desiree (10/5): Exceptional - The staff took exceptionally good care of us. The house is spacious, the location is central (you can walk home after a couple of RnR's at Fernando's and we had everything we could possibly need. Absolutely recommend. Great value for money!
- Kgothatso (3/5): Not worth the trouble - On-premise security was exceptional. He was very helpful and kind
Location is within walking distance to market, restaurants and beach
WiFi was good Our car got stuck in the sand just outside the gate.
Two bedrooms had sandy sheets, which the cleaning ladies refused to change.
Gas stove was out of gas when we arrived. The guard helped us get a fresh can.
Two bedrooms didn't have hot water. The guard called someone to fix it.
One en suite shower head is pointed horizontally, so it was spraying water outside. It was a big struggle to take a shower.
One toilet was loose and shaky.
Some pillows had a strong smell
TV didn't work, so we couldn't watch rugby
- Mpendulo (5/5): Passable -
- Nina (9/5): In general the guest house was ok and the owner was very kind. It is a good place to be. - We were not offered breakfast since we were told its a self catering guest house and we were very fine with that The only thing that I didn't like is the fact that hot water does not come out in the showers in the bathrooms upstairs but only come out from the taps so we had to use buckets and basins for collecting hot water from the taps to bath.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Micaela (8/5): Very good - Loved the location! Very accommodating and was exactly what we expected Stove was a bit small for 9 people. One of the toilets tanks didn’t fill automatically
- Tiyani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Best time ever - Location
Friendly staff
We loved everything 💜 ❤️ ♥️
- Stewart (8/5): was just a night stop over. Great size and sleeps lots of people and plenty room behind the gates to park cars and trail - location and size Hot water only in one bathroom
- Riekert (8/5): Very good -
- Mami (9/5): Superb - Very helpful staff giving us information how to get to the hotel from Maputo with public transportation.
Very spacious and beautiful house. Beach is in a walking distance. There was no sign anywhere, so we had to ask a random person to call the place even though we were right in front of the house.
- Lindie (8/5): Enjoyable, will certainly book there again! I have been recommending the place to everyone! - We arrived later than anticipated, so the host had already been asleep, but we managed to get him up
He was very helpful! Jolito was a great help in everything!
- Sifiso (8/5): Very good. - No comment. No comment.
