Guest Reviews
- Precious Tsholofelo (7/5): Great weekend away for a birthday celebration - I loved that the house had ample rooms to cater to our group and the beds were comfortable The bathroom/toilet requires some renovations as they are outdated. The toilet seat was yellow.
- Rodgers (10/5): Family groups, this is the place for you if you love doing things together. - Exceptional for large group occasions like it was for us as we were attending a wedding for my son at Craddle Moon Nothing of note
- Nadia (10/5): -
- De Witt (8/5): Friendliest staff - The staff is so very friendly and extremely helpful. From online support to the grounds man opening the gate, they are just so nice. Only downfall was lack of electricity due to a storm, but they did their best to accommodate us with generators even though we only arrived very very late.
- Mariam Ndyle (8/5): - The location was good.
We got there in the evening and the drive alone captivated us, the bedroom were lovely and the bed 10/10 comfortable. We love the extra towels and kitchen items provided. A rat got into house and ate out food, and a lot of lizards and bugs especially in the master bedroom but that could be due to the veld at the back of the property.
- Dolly (10/5): The place was a 10/10 my team and I really enjoyed our stay. - Perfect location 😁 the pool was spotless and well maintained. Not applicable.
- Mhlanga (10/5): Best lodge I’ve stayed at - The space, location and the facilities Nothing at all

- Ofentse (8/5): Beautiful place for large group events - The house is big and has enough rooms, it was clean and has everything you need in the kitchen.the staff is always there to assist with anything and they are very friendly. I will definitely be coming back There was no electricity in the morning till we left ,the generators where there, but they do not power the gyser so we couldn't use the beautiful showers and bath tubs. Other then that it was a beautiful experience
- Phokoane (7/5): - The caretakers were excellent 👌🏾
The surrounding was clean The fridge was too small, again we wish there was a TV.
The WiFi connection was not there in the upper rooms
There is a need for signage to show the area, we got lost several times because of the lack of signage
- Ramosoeu (10/5): It was amazing - The house is big, private and had everything we needed! I loved everything about it!!
The caretakers were also amazing and friendly! Loved everything

- Faith (10/5): Our stay was wonderful. The place was outstanding and the staff was excellent and helpful. - We loved everything. I don’t have any complaints at all.
- Brandon (9/5): -
- Pretorius (8/5): We made use of somebody else's home and beautiful gardens, and in general, we were quite happy. - There were plenty of crockery and cutlery. There were also additional blankets / duvet inners available. There was only a few teaspoons. I would love to have a few more dishes and a casserole to dish up food. The refrigerator is too small for the number of guests that can stay over. I would also like to have a dishwasher, that the guests can keep the kitchen tidy without losing to much time spent on washing the dishes. The maintenance of the building should get attention.
- du Plessis (8/5): A lovely venue with plenty of bedrooms — perfect for our annual reunion. - The beds were very comfortable, with lovely linen, soft towels and plenty of warm blankets — much appreciated during our stay over the coldest day in Johannesburg. The gardens and pool area are absolutely beautiful, so a return visit in summer is a must! The kitchen is very spacious, so we had to open quite a few cupboards to locate plates and glasses — some clearer labelling or organisation would help. A few outdoor cushions would make the outside furniture more comfortable. There’s no TV or Wi-Fi, which we didn’t need, but it might be a drawback for families with children.
- Goitsimang (10/5): - The place was exceptional.I would like to come with my family as well.So cause it was cold and the gas heater for back up was not working. The air come will do magic for winter cause we freezed. Rather than that we are supper have. Geyser water was not enough for us.The others had to bad when they god homeand thank u very much for the speaker. Nothing at all
- Phelelani (10/5): The property needs TV - Everything was perfect The property needs TV
- April (10/5): Excellent stay,my friends and I enjoyed the facility we had the best time celebrating my birthday. Staff very friendly - Facilities is quite good it is everything we wanted, braai area, music, kitchen utensils, pool, the facility is perfect Nothing
- Teneal (10/5): Best location for an intimate celebratory getaway! - The host was amazing! Innocent and Dumisani are the caregivers on the property and did everything to make sure our stay was comfortable.
We were on a girls trip and for ladies alone, having Dumisani and Innocent there to assist really made us feel safe and relaxed.
The house was absolutely beautiful, with a stunning private location allowing us to have a lot of fun and capture the most amazing memories!
110% recommend this place! I have no complaints, there was no wifi however we didn't need it at all.
The pool was beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing, phones were no where to be seen!
- Nicky (3/5): A gem that is in serious disrepair. - The staff were very helpful. They tried to make it as nice a stay as possible. Friendly and cooperative. They communicated well and always answered their phones. The outside area - garden and pool were good and enjoyable. The house is in disrepair. Firstly it was very dirty. All areas including the rooms and bathrooms were not clean. The headboard in the room I shared has a layer of dust on it and the carpet was terribly dirty. There were pencil shavings from a previous visit on my nightstand. All taps in the house are loose and you had to hold them to turn on. The thatch on the house needs to be repaired. The pool has a huge hole where the rhinolite is broken deep enough to see the concrete below. The house is not disability friendly - this should be stated as my Mom could not access the patio at all. Two doors in the dining area were bolted shut and their were huge cracks in the plaster revealing the concrete and brick. The main braai on the patio area was broken. The alarm activation was in the garage but the staff had to come into the house at night to arm it, which made no sense, as when it tripped at 2am in the morning we had to let them come in and reset it.
- Jeremiah (9/5): Superb -
- Muzi (8/5): Very good -
- Renschia (5/5): If maintenance were done, then this would be a good place to stay over. - Comfortable beds, clean linen and towels. We enjoyed the braai area. The place doesn't look the same as the photos. There is no name board or sign and it was difficult to locate. It is really run down and need some serious maintenance. We had some cockroaches in the kitchen. The top floor doesn't have walls up to the roof. Even the bathroom, which is not so nice if you want some privacy. The downstairs bedrooms didn't smell very fresh. There are no fans or aircons. Some of the rooms doesn't have mirrors. The plugs are difficult to reach if you want to charge your phone.
- Sindile (9/5): Superb - Massive beautiful villa. Mosquitoes 🦟 🦟 🦟 🦟
- Neethling (7/5): We had a lovely stay. The place has so mush potential but must be maintained. - The house is spacious and the braai and swimming pool area is lovely. The garden is very pretty as well as the small dams and waterfalls. Beds were neat and linen were fresh. Swimming pool was clean. Kids had a blast. Owner is very accommodating and friendly. Everything was clean and ready to use. The place is not being maintained. Mirrors are broken, upper bathroom does not have a plug, stove does not work properly, kitchen cabinets are falling apart, faucet in kitchen is broken, braai is falling apart, braai area's roof is falling apart, swimming pool shell is coming loose, jungle gym is falling apart and unsafe. Bridge to the one waterfall is falling apart and unsafe. There are no fans in the rooms accept in one of the bottom rooms (which is not working properly).
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff
Well equipped kitchen Fans and mosquito nets in the bedrooms would be great
- Saville (8/5): The place is perfect for a group getaway to relax and reconnect. - The accommodation needs aircons or fans.
- Motsos (10/5): Value for money - Everything about this house is absolutely the best. We enjoyed our stay with all friendly host. I liked that there is no botherin neighbours bcos the hiuse is secluded nicely The board from the main road to show the place
- Kagiso (4/5): The accommodation requires some attention. It has great potential but it feels neglected. For the amount of money we pai - It’s spacious, enough rooms. The host was kind enough to let us check in early. The lights in the upstairs bathroom weren’t working. It was too dark on the stairway. The rest of the bathrooms did not have their own water stopper plugs. The rugs in the kitchen were falling apart. Dust was evident on some of the furniture. There’s no iron/ironing board on the property.
- Tasmin (9/5): Superb -
- Thabang (10/5): Home away from home feel - The rooms were spacious and clean. It felt like home away from home No wifi
- Princess (10/5): AMAZING!!! - The place was amazing. The yard is huge and has a very nice and clean pool. I would definitely recommend it. Perfect for hosting a large group of friends or family and it is safe. None. Place was perfect!
- Cc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sebele (10/5): Great location and perfect for group outings - The property is clean and far from any neighbours, so it was good for a girls' noisy party. Uncle Innocent is amazing and very helpful. The property met and exceeded our expectations. The garden and pool are well maintained. Some areas were a bit dusty, the cleaner could do more by going to all the hidden corners and on top of furniture. With cutlery, please add ice cube trays. Improve pressure in upstairs showers. Otherwise, everything was great, just work on modernising the lodge bit by bit.
- Franciska (4/5): Would rather drive back to Pretoria to sleep - The firendliness of Innocent. The place was clean and the bedding of good standard There was not a single fan in each room to keep mosquitoes away while trying to sleep. It was 37 degrees late the evening. The ponds next to the house is a festering mess for mozzies to breed There was not even a cup of coffee or a bottle of clean water
- Pakiso (10/5): Exceptional - The house was clean and friendly. Staff had warm water The swimming pool was not ready when we arrived with kids.
- Tour (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thandi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Devina (8/5): Very good -
- Nthabeleng (7/5): Good - Location
The caretaker (Ntate Innocent) was absolutely exceptional. He helped us greatly.
Extra blankets available were greatly appreciated. Hot water was very limited and having a group of ten girls to shower/bathe was a problem
WiFi would be great to have
Place is pretty open - a fireplace in a common area or alternative heating system to be looked into
- Lusanda (10/5): Excellent - We serve ours The fact that the is no board showing the place, we get lost on our way there
- Katleho (6/5): great location. great for groups and families. wish the generator was operational - beautiful piece of property, feels safe and secure generator was not working for the entirety of our stay. which meant no lights during evening load shedding
- Manitshana (8/5): Very good -
- Bronwyn (5/5): Passable - The bedding was clean and comfortable. 3 out of 6 rooms are comfortable. 3 rooms are not private. Not enough comfortable seating, furnishing was sparce and needs refurbishment, No water pressure in upstairs bathrooms, upstairs bedrooms are not private. This facility is overpriced for the lack of comfort and could do with refurbishment.
- Gregory (5/5): Our stay was okay. The house is very spacious. - Location was good. Caretaker was friendly and helpful when needed. Linen was clean and there were a lot of extra blankets. Gate was manually operated and locked at 7pm. We barely slept on the first day because of Mosquitoes, next day we bought sprays and repellent. Caretaker just came and took the gas stove and tank, and we couldn't make breakfast. No privacy, as people walk in and out of the yard. The house floors were dirty. Lawn from entrance down was not cut, we almost thought we were lost as the entrance looked nothing like the pictures on advert.
