• Ryan (10/5): Wonderful stay and location. Great deal. If I come back to D.C. I will most certainly consider staying here again. - Conveniently located. Close to downtown D.C. but far enough away to avoid the craziness. Grocery shopping near by and a charming area of the city. Well kept and cleaned property, comfortable as well. Large king sized bed in the bedroom and a small bed in the living room area. There’s nothing the owners can do about this but the ceilings are low. I’m 6’1 and I had to watch my head.

• Diana (9/5): Comfortable, convenient location, and good amenities. - Convenient location, easy access, good size. The shower space is quite small and the shower head should be replaced to allow for better water flow

• Heather (7/5): - No frills stay which was ok for 1 night. I liked the neighbourhood. The bed was very comfortable. Steve responded immediately when I couldn't work the coffee maker! Low ceilings with a tall person!. Slight musty smell not good for asthma sufferers. The entrance was not very inviting, but that was more the neighbourers rubble under their stairs. Light for dining area not found until Steve showed me next morning.

Podría tener alguna canilla aparte de la del baño, y también vez le falta algún implemento más para cocinar pero lo bueno supera ampliamente estos detalles

• CHI (3/5): Cantina per le biciclette - Casa esterna e lo staff gentile e solerte La struttura è uno scantinato privo di adeguata ariazione adibito ad abitazione con attenzione ai particolari ma non ha un’altezza del soffitto adeguata per definirlo abitabile. Dove ci sono i travi l’altezza sarà di un metro e 80 centimetri. Decisamente basso per una persona di alta statura. Vi è solo una finestra nella camera che affaccia sul garage dell’abitazione principale.

• Chad (10/5): A smooth and thoughtful stay hosted by someone who genuinely cares. - The host was truly thoughtful and went out of his way to make my stay more comfortable. He handled everything with professionalism and kindness, and I really appreciated the extra consideration he showed me. Nothing stood out — everything went smoothly, and the space had what I needed.

• Joyce (7/5): It fulfilled our needs for our sightseeing trip to WA D.C. - Property was in a safe area. When I requested 2 items, the landlord gave me the items. Beds comfortable. Bathroom door didn’t lock easily, you had to use a key.
• Olga (4/5): The owner should mention that the rooms are located in basement. - The price is fair for the room and location. The bed was comfy. The photos are not real - the rooms are located in the basement, but on the photos, there was a door from another apartment - it was the owner's door. I am tall, so it was uncomfortable - the ceiling is very low. I would not rent it if I knew it is a basement. Also, the bathroom is so small - I barely fit in, but I am 150lb.

• Anoushka (9/5): Superb - The host was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. There's a bus stop right next to the property, but fewer buses pass through. But otherwise everything is very nice. Loved the stay.

• Titzi (9/5): Nice place to stay in D.C., good value for the price. - Everything. This place is just great if you travel on a budget. It will take you approx. 45 min to get to the city center. The bus leaves just outside the building, so you don't have to walk to the subway, which was mentioned in other reviews. The owner was super nice & helpful. Overall a really good price-value ratio 👍 The heating in the living room was a bit weird. Sometimes the heater didn't do anything, then suddenly it turned on and it got really warm inside the room.,

Had indoor parking, which was an added advantage. The host was really kind and the place was warm and had extra beds. Couldn’t ask for more for an affordable price.

• Kelly (8/5): Very good - If staying in Washington is outside your budget this place is a good option. They provided an extra bed and there’s free laundry also. Netflix WiFi etc all good. Owner really friendly. Nice neighbourhood. It’s quite far out, over a mile walk to the nearest metro without a car. It’s in the basement with one closed window. Bathroom is a squeeze. Limited kitchen stuff but sufficient for bits and bobs in fridge and microwave.

• Lisa (10/5): Private spot - The apartment was cozy and one of the beds was king sized and very comfortable. The bathroom has a relaxing yellow light. That you can turn on if you like. Not getting the code to check in until 45 min before check in. Made me nervous but everything worked out okay!

I thought it would’ve been appropriate to actually see who I was renting from.I had to knock on the door a second time,days after my arrival,to finally see an adult(owner).Also had few roaches show up.

• Reham (10/5): The location is amazing, the bus stop is 1 minute away, the location is central it has Safeway around, cvs & down do - I like the location most The host is very supportive, helpful & generous, I once asked for 2 bottles of water & I was surprised when his daughter got me 4 We didn’t meet or see each other but he was regularly checking on me if I need anything The toilet is very small
• Shira (8/5): Very good - Comfortably equipped, nice host. Water bottles were a great addition. We were 3 people and they opened an extra bed near the sofa. It is a basement apartment so we could here steps and talks from upstairs and the ceiling is low.

• B. (8/5): It was fine, but not convenient. The location would work better for someone with a car. - The apartment is nicely self-contained and the owner was very responsive. Bed was comfortable. I appreciated the bottles of water in the fridge. Entry and exit were easy. I appreciated the owner's graciousness and quick responses to my requests. It would have been nice to have a night light in the bathroom, a box of tea bags, and a hair dryer - these are usually available in other Booking sites I have stayed in. It would be nice to have a printed overview in the room describing public transportation options and restaurants, grocery shopping and operation of the A/C. The difficult part of the stay was the location - it was very far from shopping, restaurants, the Metro station. I did find that the bus to the Metro was OK, but would have liked to have that information at hand (on a printed overview or an info sheet sent ahead of time).

• Veronica (9/5): Okay for 1 night - Clean room. Good location. In the basement of a home. Clean shower. Coffee machine. TV, wifi. Small bed in living room, large bed in bedroom. People starting walking above us at 427am (yes I looked at my clock and that was the time). Couldn't sleep afterwards. Sounds like the bedroom is possibly beneath a dining room because the sound of a chair moving back and forth was similar to a chair from a dining room.
• Ciera (4/5): it was okay - I liked the beds and the Keurig was nice. I didn't like the loud noises in the morning. I did not like that I only got three bottles of water. I did not like that their were not paper plates or cups to use.
