Guest Reviews
- Saadia (8/5): Nice place. - Lovely property but the description of the facilities was inaccurate - booked specifically as it said 2 bathrooms - actually the booking has 1 bathroom and a toilet/cloakroom downstairs. It doesn’t have 2 bathrooms.

- Carly (9/5): - Great location, we did a walk into York City Centre one day and it took around 15 minutes. The house was everything we could have asked for and more. We had a brilliant time celebrating my Dad's 50th birthday!
- May (7/5): Beautiful property. Enjoyed staying there, a bit disappointed about the bathroom situation - Clean fresh and spacious It was quoted as having two bathrooms.
I don’t consider a toilet and hand basin a bathroom. The toaster isn’t working correctly. The toilet seat downstairs is loose.

- Paul (10/5): Truly perfect home-away-from-home - The Birdie is a modern, beautifully located and wonderful home-away-from-home in York. I can highly recommend it. The house is in perfect shape, with great amenities: nice garden looking out over the golf course, a wonderful and light leaving room and dinner space, great kitchen with a lot of options. It is only a few minutes from the city center by car, but in a very quiet and residential neighborhood. The beds, bathroom are clean and modern and everything works well. The house is welcoming and perfect for a holiday or for a business stay. We had a wonderful stay here with a family of six and can highly recommend this house to anyone! There was nothing we did not like
- Debra (9/5): Highly recommend as a base for visiting York - Location was relatively easy to walk into town. Kitchen was superb. Beds were comfortable. Ideal for two families i.e. family with children and grandparents to stay together. Although the booking clearly stated 4 adults and 2 children the second child's bed was not made up and we had to hunt to find some bedding. No towels were left for them either butwe managed to use thespare hand towels for her.
- Valerie (9/5): Loved it - Perfect location, beautiful property Nothing It was perfect
- Lauren (5/5): Felt threatened from neighbour , we paid alot for this property and he ruined our break away . - The Birdie was absolutely beautiful, couldn't fault it such a beautiful property. Only thing would say is the sofa is not brilliant far to low for someone older I couldn't get up off it . So sat in the window chair . The garden is Beautiful too couldn't fault the property We really wanted to go back to this property but our break was ruined by the neighbour. 3 woman mum , daughter and friend came back to the property after being out all day at 6pm to have a knock at the door from the man at number 70 at 7pm to say can you keep the noise down he was very threatening we felt like packing up and leaving he was so rude this was a break with sisters , cousins I'm the mum abit deaf. We was actually only in the house for about 2 hours Friday night and till 11 am sat came back at 6pm . The Sunday morning he was standing threatening attitude in front of where is car was for about 30 minutes. For woman to be in this property this was so threatening. When he came to the door you can tell he was not happy with the property being used as air b& b . We wanted to take are grandchildren back but will not die to this neighbour. I was going to ring the police on him cause we was so upset we paid alot of money for this property to have this was awful .
- Hamoud (10/5): Exceptional - Every thing Nothing
- Davey (10/5): Exceptional - Location, the place was spotless and made us feel at home. The open lay out of the kitchen and living room and spacious and facilities as mentioned.
The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable.
- Emma (10/5): Would highly recommend this property ticks all the boxes. - The property was in a central location with off road parking. There was a secure garden and the whole house was just light and airy. It was all really positive.
- Martin (8/5): Enjoyable. - Space, garden, good range of utensils/glasses/kitchen equipment etc. and location. Beds too soft, ceiling blinds needed in kitchen/lounge area as morning sun blinding, noisy shower, uncomfortable settee and lack of coat/clothes hooks in bedrooms and bathrooms.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - The property was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. It was clean and in a great location. We loved our stay in York and loved the Birdie. We would stay there again.
- Pearl (7/5): Good - Nice location, plenty of buses into the city plus only a 20 minute walk The 2 bathrooms was slightly misleading as the downstairs one was just a toilet and sink
- Amanda (10/5): We wished we could live there forever - The house was just perfect! We even canceled our dinner reservation to cook and stay enjoying the place (the board games available were a plus). Everything brand new and beautifully decorated.
We also had a lovely fox visit in the backyard. No complains.
- Tracey (10/5): Lovely, quiet, exceptional stay - thanks - It was close to York city centre, very clean, had 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms - ideal for a girly weekend away. Had everything you needed including bedding, towels and even some sachets of tea/coffee. The details in the book and email wasn’t updated - eg we couldn’t get on the WiFi - we did notice on the day we left a small piece of paper with the new details on!
