• Renate (9/5): - Von außen nicht zu erkennen, verbirgt sich eine tolle Einrichtung hinter der Wohnungstausch.. modern und ansprechend. Alles sehr sauber. Das Frühstück einfach, aber ausreichend. Unser Bad und die Toilette waren außerhalb des Zimmers und nur über ein paar Stufen nach unten erreichbar Dieses war , besonders nachts, nicht sehr angenehm .

I would definately recommend the property to anyone and we hope some day we will be lucky enough to return. So more than a hotel.. more of an experience. And David was such an amazing guy to talk to. So friendly and armed with a pipeline of astonishing stories to tell. There is simply nothing not to like about this hotel. Even the location is amazing. Could not be a better option if staying in Preston.

The property was spotless, with meticulous attention to every detail. From the thoughtfully chosen furniture to the always-fresh orange juice, everything stood out. Comfort was never in question; it genuinely felt like a home away from home.. There was nothing not to like.

David welcomed us with tea, showed us around and took a genuine interest in us and our reasons for being in Preston. Luxurious accomodation, a simple and delicious breakfast and just the right level of chat made this the perfect place to stay for our exploration of the Textile Biennale. Preston is a great hub for transport, and has plenty to offer by way of art, buildings and places to eat and drink. Hopefully, we'll be back for the next Biennale in 2027. It is really quiet considering you are only a 7 minute walk from the train station and centre of Preston, making it a fabulous option if you don't wish to drive. It was absolutely spotless and so comfortable. David was a great host and looked after us! It is a fabulous base to explore the area and we would definitely love to return Thanks for everything! • Iain (8/5): - A lovely host and a room with a balcony. A continental breakfast which was lovely and David supplied a takeaway lunch. Although no coffee making in room you could have made yourself one in the kitchen but I used bottled water from the fridge for the four days I stayed. Only 5 minutes from the side entrance of the train station and given perfect instructions from David who also gave directions to the several parks nearby. No en-suite but private bathroom a few steps downstairs and was supplied with a gown.Was here for 4 nights but still plan to come back possibly for two nights.

• Judith (9/5): Great place for a short stay in Preston - David is a fabulous host. We couldn't have asked for a better welcome. The room was lovely and comfortable, and being able to open the doors onto the balcony was very welcome in the hot weather. The breakfast was delicious and light, which was exactly what we needed. David was good enough to allow us to leave our bags after check out, which was really appreciated. Lastly, the walk from the station is only 5-10 minutes, so the location is great. We would have liked the bathroom to be ensuite, but realise the layout of the building doesn't really allow this. I was a bit concerned about needing the loo in the middle of the night (the perils of a middle-aged woman) but it wasn't too bad because the stairs are lit. There and back in a couple of minutes.

Die Lage in Preston ist sehr gut - große Parkanlage nebenan und Bereich mit vielen Restaurants in der Nähe. Trotzdem liegt die Unterkunft in einer sehr ruhigen Straße. Das zum Zimmer gehörige Bad war nur über den Flur erreichbar.

The lady looking after us during our stay was friendly and couldn't do enough to try ensure comfort and right any issues that arose. There was an issue with the TV in our room and with attempts to fix the TV being fruitless we were given access to the main lounge TV for the evening (very much appreciated). Our room was very comfortable and the balcony was beautiful. I'm glad the weather allowed for us to spend a little time out there on the second night. There was nothing not to like, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you too both David and Julie for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable.

• Noel (10/5): Lovely bed and breakfast in Preston - My wife and I only had one night's stay in Preston. However we were fortunate to have booked to stay at East Cliff, and we had a very nice visit. East Cliff was different from the other 28 accommodation places we have stayed in on our current trip around Europe and the UK. It is more of a traditional bed and breakfast in a beautifully renovated home. David, the host, was very helpful in terms of communication and directions. He allowed us to check in early to fit in with our arrival by train. David lives in the home and he welcomes just a few guests at a time. In our case, one other guest, who had stayed previously. It was good to be able to interact with this guest, and our host. We were delighted with the excellent accommodation, which included a filling breakfast in the morning. To top it off David even cooked and packed us some extra pastries to take with us on our onward journey. He is a genuinely caring and helpful host. David shared suggestions on places to visit during our short stay. East Cliff is handy to the Preston railway station, as well the town centre, restaurants, shops, parks, etc. We definitely recommend East Cliff if you plan to visit Preston.
• Susan (10/5): Brilliant. A fantastic start to our trip to Scotland. - The property was absolutely beautiful and unique. David our host was so friendly and hospitable and did so much to make us comfortable. Hot drinks on arrival and anytime we wanted them. I happened to mention I liked a hot water bottle for my back and a hot one was delivered to our room when we went to bed. Breakfast was delicious and he even gave us freshly baked pastries for our onward journey. The Italian restaurant he recommended for excellent. Thank you. We will be back. Everything was fine.

The room is beautiful, very clean with its own terrace which is a delight to sit out on. The location is perfect for Preston. Near the town centre and train station but far enough away to not be disturbed by either Absolutely nothing to dislike. Will definitely stay again while in Preston.

The room ( deluxe double ) was so well presented and comfortable with a lovely balcony as a bonus. The location is brilliant, central , but still a nice quiet area, with good on site parking. The main selling point though is the host, David. You will leave feeling like old friends. Fantastic.
• Julia (9/5): Beautiful accommodation in the perfect location - East Cliff is fantastically located, a short walk from the train station and right next to a stunning riverside park. The accommodation is beautifully laid out and I particularly enjoyed the lush balcony at sunset. David was a wonderfully welcoming host and I really enjoyed the continental breakfast. The room I was in has a private bathroom, but it was separate from the bedroom itself. However, a gown was provided and I was on my own level separate from the other rooms so I felt comfortable and this wasn't a big drawback.

David made me feel so safe and welcome from the moment I arrived. His place is stunning—beautifully decorated with so much character. The bed was insanely comfortable, probably one of the best I’ve ever slept in! I also really appreciated the coffee and continental breakfast—such a nice touch. David goes out of his way to make sure you’re taken care of, even sending me home with a pecan pastry because he remembered I loved it! Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a cosy, welcoming spot.
• Helen (10/5): Fantastic host, fantastic property! - It’s a beautiful, immaculate property, a short walk to Preston railway station, the shops and restaurants. David was a brilliant host, so friendly and helpful, he made us feel at home from the minute we walked through the door. Breakfast was lovely - fruit and yoghurt, fresh baked pastries and croissants and a fab cup of tea! There wasn’t anything not to like as far as we are concerned - we will definitely look to stay here again. It may be worth noting that the rooms (or at least the one we stayed in) are not en-suite. However, your room has exclusive use of a lovely fully equipped bathroom just across the hall so I suggest perhaps just bringing a light robe for bathroom trips if you think it’s needed.
• John (10/5): Exceptional - The decor is beautiful, the bed was comfortable. The furniture and fittings are comfortable and in perfect condition. The whole place is spotlessly clean. The heated floors and automatic low level lighting are good The art collection is a treat to explore, and the host, David, will explain any of it on request. The host is a big part of the charm here, very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was great. It's very handy for the city centre (5mln) if that's what you want but behind the house is Avenham Park, which is beautiful. I'd have to think hard about that. I'd quite happily live here.
