• Andreas (10/5): Start your sigiriya hike from here. - The house is very spacious and located super close to both of the rocks. The host family is very welcoming and friendly and exciting to have some talks about the country with. I would recommend doing the sunset hike.

• Janina (10/5): - Amazing place with a beautiful garden in the perfect location for early morning hikes to sigiriya and pidurangala. Breakfast is delicious and the host absolutely amazing. Super friendly and accommodating and helps you organise everything! Highly recommended for everyone who likes to stay in a beautiful and quiet place!
• Jiří (10/5): Krásné ubytování v milými hostiteli - Velmi milí hostitelé, výborná večeře i snídaně, prostorná koupelna, měli jsme vše, co jsme potřebovali na 1 noc. Dům v krásné zahradě. Moc jsme si pobyt užili. Hostitel nám také pomohl s dopravou.

• Adam (10/5): Urocze miejsce z bardzo gościnną rodziną właścicieli - To był jeden z najmilszych noclegów w jakim byliśmy. Mieszka się w dużym domu, po środku wielkiego ogrodu. Właściciel jest przemiłym człowiekiem, z wizją, gotowością do opowieści o zwyczajach, problemach czy ciekawostkach. Pomagał nam z dojazdami w przeróżne miejsca, proponował atrakcje. Bardzo sympatyczny człowiek, z gościnną rodziną. Na miejscu można było zjeść bardzo dobry obiad i śniadanie. Pokoje są zgodne ze zdjęciami - wszystko, czego potrzeba, bez szczególnych luksusów, czysto. Dom jest położony w odległości spaceru od wejścia na Pinguralę (polecamy), ale dość daleko od sklepów itp. - właściciel zawsze pomagał z dojazdami - ale to miejsce dla osób chcących spokojnego noclegu. Gorąco polecamy! Wszystko było dobrze

• Rainer (10/5): - Besonders außergewöhnliche nette kleine Unterkunft mit vier Zimmern. Sehr familiär. Der Gastgeber hat eine super nette Frau und einen kleinen Sohn. Die Lage ist besonders gut, da der Pidurangala Rock in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar ist. Die Tour haben wir zum Sonnenuntergang gemacht. Der Besitzer war sehr nett und hat uns mit dem Tuk Tuk nachts abgeholt und wieder in die Unterkunft gebracht. Das Anwesen verfügt über einen schönen und sehr interessanten Garten mit einigen Affen und Vögel- sehr idyllisch und vor allem interessant für Pflanzenliebhaber. Wer sich für Geschichte interessiert kann einiges vom Besitzer lernen. Angeboten werden lokale singlesische Speisen. Die Frau des Besitzers war super nett und hat uns einige Zubereitungsarten in der Küche gezeigt, super interessant und sehr nett. Gerne wieder, sehr zu Empfehlen wenn man etwas über Land und Leute erfahren will.

• Harriet (10/5): - Wonderful peaceful location, great for getting a bit of a reset in nature. Hosts were so warm and could not have done more for us including getting up at 5 to take us to the foot of Pidurangala. Breakfast and dinners were delicious! Didn’t bother us but Wi-Fi was a bit patchy

• Yuka (10/5): Exceptional - Location was between Shigiriya and Pidurangala Rock. We could walk nicely both location. The home own is beautiful garden surrounded and such a peaceful place to stay. The owner was very kind to support our stay.
• Jodi (8/5): The people make the stay. - The kindness is amazing. And so much great information. I really enjoyed our chats and the delicious food. Amazing garden and perfect location. Easy to get to any of Sigiriyas attractions and if you want to go before sunrise, the owner was offering rides too. Very friendly and informative. Cute kiddo. Large room, extra large bathroom - both were very spacious. There is no night stand or mosquito net - but there is a potential pole for a net. Lots of mosquitos out here and I was basically a buffet for them. Would have been nice to have. Lots of room for a small vanity in the bathroom or a shelf for placing toiletry bags, extra toilet rolls etc. I would recommend adding. Walls are very thin, and doors do not close easily so you hear every time someone comes or goes or opens the bathrooms etc. I didn’t realize when I booked that I had a room with no windows. A little disappointing but I wasn’t in the room much, so that was ok for a couple nights.
• Ian (10/5): Friendly homestay - 500m walk from Pidrangala rock, and Kalum kindly guided us up for sunrise walk. Lovely place and great food.
• Caroline (9/5): Great budget choice. - Great location for climbing Sigiriya Rock (Lions Rock) and / or Pidurangala Rock. Both are within walking distance. Kalum kindly dropped us off for the sunrise ascent / picked us up after a sunset climb as it’s dangerous to walk along the tracks in the dark due to wild elephants/ other animals. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced ($6); breakfast (also $6) not such good value. Lovely garden and peaceful setting. Access was a challenge as rain in the preceding few days had caused the dirt road to become almost impassable with our tuk tuk.
• Jhtr (10/5): Exceptional - For a few days we were part of the family of Kalum and Kumari and their three sons. We stayed in one of their spatious (XXL) rooms and enjoyed the tasty Sri Lanka. {5 star) local meals cooked by Kumari, one of them in the context of a cooking class. Location with view of the famous rock and quality of the accommodation are just perfect. Nothing
• Julia (10/5): Exceptional - We're living between two main mountains!! It takes us 5 min by bike to get to Pidurangala entrance!!! It's a lovely place in the homestay of a lovely couple! When we booked, I didn't know that it's possible to get the room with a/c. When we came, we changed it without a problem. The owner is really kind and friendly and it's a great pleasure to talk to him in the evening during the tastiest dinner his wife has cooked! Nothing
• Shakarian (10/5): Absolutely worth it! - Everything! The family was so nice and welcoming. The wife welcome us with fresh mango juice and open heart. The husband took us to Sigiriya rock at 4:30 am so he woke up early for us. Thanks a lot to this amazing person! So close to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks (30mins walking distance to Lion’s rock and 10 mins away from Pidurangala rock). Everything was more than perfect! Thank you sweet family!
