• Britt-Marie (8/5): - Nice apartment, clean, quiet and peaceful at night. Good location to train and buses. Could not get some facilities to work; TV In livingroom and washing machine, no instructions available. Entrance area by the front door unpleasant with lots of litter laying around. Steep stair to the entrance may be a problem if you have big luggage.

The fact we drove 150 miles to find a place that had not been cleaned, needed decorating badly, having to park a mile away...then due to the state of it we had to return home the same day. And booking.com will not acknowledge any messages left for a refund. this should be taken off your website. Awful experience. **edit**.....Owners response below is just utter lies, He seems to be nothing but a con artist, refuses to aknowledge any messages from myself or booking.com. I see that the property is no longer on here but would urge anyone thinking of booking here, not too and go somewhere else. I now have to go through claims court to get a refund. Disgusting behaviour
• Marko (9/5): - Sehr nett eingerichtetes Appartement mit Außenbereich. Gute Lage im Zentrum, nah am Meer. Einige Einrichtungen, Küchenutensilien und der Außenbereich könnten etwas Zuwendung vertragen. Eine Überdachung auf der Terrasse wäre bei schlechtem Wetter Gold wert.

• Martyn (9/5): Really nice appartment, super convenient for the railway station and town - A really nice flat in excellent condition equipped with nearly everything you could want for a short or long stay. Wifi worked well. It was very quiet despite being on a road and near the railway. Is super convenient for the railway station. The town is a short walk away, the old town a bit further but all entirely walkable. Communication with the owners was good. Would very happily return. The only possible negative are the steep steps down to this basement property.

• Stanworth (9/5): Portsmouth weekend - the accommodation was clean and comfortable, beautiful and spacious and facilities were in place, cleaning chemicals left, wash pods for dish washer and washing machine also left the sofa was a bit hard to sit on and sleep on

• Mirela (8/5): Lovely stay - Spacious, lots of LED lights/spot lights everywhere, modern, everything you need including coffee pods for the coffee machine, lots of storage space, nice little garden area, great ceiling shower. Sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable to slip on as it was very hard. Other than that, everything else was great.

Lots of attractions for tourists (Castle, go-karts, mini golf, etc.) The floor in the apartment was broken, but even that didn't spoil our good mood. I wish everyone a weekend as great as we had in Hastings.

Kitchen faucet was leaking big time and the hot water tank stopped working a day and a half before leaving. Emailed landlord, no reply on the tap and a reply the day I left.

Missing a few touches to be perfect but great all the same. - Beautifully decorated apartment with a nice central location, nice and quiet despite many reviews saying otherwise. Nice touch with shower gel, shampoo etc available in the bathrooms. A few missing bits around the property that would have made it a top notch stay. The mattress as previously stated in some reviews was like sleeping on a wooden board. A lot of the bowls, pans etc were not very clean and had to be washed before use.

They put up a little Christmas tree as we stayed over Christmas and gave us chocolates and a card, we loved this thank you !! The mattress is firm which my partner liked but I prefer a softer mattress, a topper would be great The floors are a little cracked and uneven
• Sarahandchris2008 (9/5): Pre-Christmas getaway. - The apartment was well equipped with extras such as a coffee machine and Amazon fire TVs in both living room and bedroom. It was very nicely decorated and comfortable, in easy reach of the town centre. It is a basement apartment so might not suit someone with mobility difficulties. There are rails both sides of the steps.

• Rebekah (8/5): Really nice flat and well situated, but the heating made it very uncomfortable. - Easy to walk into town. Good facilities. Clean. Helpful owner. Found parking at the train station easy, but quite pricy. Sofa bed was very hard. No parking and hard to unload luggage. Apartment was unbearably hot. Turning the thermostat down didn’t work. Plus bathroom towel rack (which I presume is on a different heating circuit and was permanently on) was dangerously hot. A couple of us accidentally touched it whilst getting out of the shower and scalded ourselves.
• Janet (10/5): From the beginning to talking to the owners , I new we were onto a winner, excellent customer service , everything you c - Location , the apartment was spacious, clean, very modern with high spec facilities such as bathrooms , kitchen. Everything about the apartment was high class, fabulous to say the least There was nothing to dislike, an amazing homely one bedroom apartment.
• Casey (7/5): Lovely little apartment. Would recommend for a little weekend getaway! - Lovely little apartment in a great location! The owner of the accommodation was very helpful and had great communication during our stay. All furniture is hard, heating isn’t able to be turned completely off so constantly had to have doors and windows open to cool it down. The towel rails were scorching hot, to the extent when accidentally touched getting out of the shower we burnt ourselves a fair few times - was okay in the end had to google how to turn them off. Upon arrival we found quite a lot of un cleaned kitchen items like: cutlery, grill tray, mugs & glasses.
• Natalie (7/5): Decent but not perfect. - It was very spacious and well equipped. We had everything we needed for 2 nights stay. It was (mostly) quiet too. Location wise, it’s literally 2 mins from the station and probably about 10mins to the sea. It was walkable to Hastings Old Town which is where everything interesting is. It was good for what we needed. The area it’s located in was for me a little dodgy (and I grew up on an estate in south London). We often walked past groups of what seemed to be drug addicts hanging around close by which made me feel uneasy and like i said, I’m from inner city London. It’s also a basement flat which wasn’t really clear. We had a pram and small suitcase with us and knowing this would have been good. We had mildly warm water in the shower but this was fixed promptly the next day. Lastly, the floor was pretty uneven in parts, maybe the flooring didn’t have a good foundation under it. The bed was really hard, as was the sofa and as it backs out onto a Royal Mail sorting Office it got pretty noisy around 5am.

• Julija (2/5): Terrible - Good location. The worst thing about this apartment is the bedroom. The bed linen was not fresh, the bed smelled of dirty socks and the sheets smelled of urine. We slept all nights in the living room. the first night was generally the most terrible without pillows and without bed linen, since we washed the pillowcases and sheets that we found in the closet (they were also used). Also cushion pillows on the couch should be washed it’s black from dirtiness. This apartment needs a thorough cleaning. I can't recommend this place. The most important thing that should be provided is clean bed and linen. Even the cheapest hostels provide this.
• Rebecca (8/5): Large, quiet apartment close to station, shops and seaside - lovely large apartment that, although a basement flat, was bright and airy with the added bonus of a private garden. Location was perfect , close to train station, town and sea front. As others had mentioned there was a distinct doggy smell so had to open all the windows and buy an air freshener. However, we later discovered that the culprit was indeed a smelly Hetty vacuum cleaner kicking out a right stink!

• James (8/5): Great for a short stay - The property was very high standard, had washing machine and everything a family would need. Love the separate toilet and shower. Lovely decor too. Neighbours! Very rough houses around, located near the homelessness centre and seemingly derelict buildings. There's no parking, so you will have to pay £10 a day to park the car. There were building works and scaffolding next door, so they were sweeping the roof in our breakfast. Bedding hasn't been washed from previous occupants, so we had to wash everything,as we woke up itching after the first night.

Kitchen was fully equipped. Had a great time here and would use again for sure The garden could be tidied. The mattress was hard, my partner liked this but I struggled a bit.

• Suzy (7/5): Good Dog Friendly Place. - Lovely modern refurb, dog friendly, spacious. Great rain shower! Good location. Although very clean, there was a strong wet dog smell in the lounge when we arrived, having the heating off when empty (understandably) doesn't help. Upon making up the sofa bed, someone had clearly let their dog onto the bedding. It wad covered in hair and stank to be honest. I don't think this is the fault of the hosts at all, they have no dogs on furniture rules and the bedding could easily have been used and placed back inside the sofa bed without anyone knowning. Maybe the cleaning company need to make sure it's checked everytime someone leaves even if they think it hasn't been "used"
