Guest Reviews
- Clare (6/5): - Great location. Bed too small.
Very warm in the current climate. Fan in both living and bedrooms would have been better.
- Claire (10/5): Great place to stay in the New Forest - Great location, near the train line but the trains didn't disturb us. Lovely apartment, plenty of space all facilities very good.
The restaurant below was very good. Would recommend both apartment and restaurant.
- Ron (10/5): It was a excellent base and above a brilliant restaurant - Situated in a great position and spotlessly clean. Also very modernly equipped. Nothing
- Mohammed (9/5): -
- Robert (9/5): - Great location near pubs and restaurants. Accommodation very clean and bright. Will be back again.
- Anna (9/5): Nice apartment for short New forest stay - Great central location in Brockenhurst. Ideal for a short stay as you can walk out in to the trails easily. Great apartment if you like self catering. Able to cook eggs in the morning and a simple evening meal. Cosy living which made for nice evenings in watching TV. 10% off in the Italian downstairs which was great. Sloped ceilings which may be a problem for some people.
- Lisa (9/5): Great location to explore the New Forest - Great location. Lovely flat .. Very cosy, clean and nicely decorated. Easy access. Enjoyed 10% off at Albero as a guest at the flat!
- Ryno (8/5): -
- Russell (9/5): -
- Jack (10/5): -
- Paul (9/5): Had a very enjoyable time excellent location - Excellent all we needed A larger bed would of been nice
- Wilkinson (9/5): - Great location and flat. Everything you need in a small space - feels spacious. Friendly communicative hosts.
- Erika (9/5): -
- martin (10/5): - In excellent location . Very clean comfortable and well equipped . Nothing
- Jamie (10/5): Peaceful and comfortable, good location - The apartment was clean, comfortable and peaceful. There is some noise from the nearby railway line but I soon got used to this and it didn't bother me. Excellent location for visiting various parts of the new forest and the train station across the road was also useful. I enjoyed a meal at the restaurant below with a 10% discount I had slight difficulty working out how to use the hob on the oven. There was also no oven glove so I had to use a towel instead. These are only minor issues.
- Ronell (9/5): Excellent quality, well located and spacious. - Centrally located, private and bright. Well equipped with good quality fittings. One has to get used to the trains rushing by during the night.
- Gary (8/5): Very good flat, great for a short stay - free parking is available but difficult. - Parking was difficult when I arrived on both days around 5pm....cars from the restaurant were using all the spaces and I had to use the nearby pub car park.
- James (10/5): Great property and would definitely stay again - Great location and spacious Nothing
- Pernilla (10/5): Hachett is very pleasant with all amenities, a lovely bedroom, cozy living room and helpfull staff - Ate breakfast elsewhere Everything was perfect.
- Bernard (10/5): - Great location. Very clean and well laid out apartment. We would definitely use again. Nothing.
- Dawn (8/5): Excellent location for the New Forest, spotlessly clean cosy apartment. - Location, comfortable and very clean. Found we couldn’t get the bathroom window shut when it was really windy, but luckily it wasn’t cold enough to be a problem
- Mark Jones (9/5): - Perfect location for central forest visiting and exploring.
Very clean, comfortable and cozy.
Bonus having the Italian restaurant below. Trains more regular than originally thought but just a background noise so no issues there.... This could be a bonus for anyone travelling by train as the station is just around the corner.
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Joshua (8/5): - Very well equipped, clean and well located. Train and road noise is very loud with windows open.
- Diane (10/5): We had the perfect weeks holiday in Brockenhurst. The weather was also great - Great location and surprisingly quiet being next to the railway line the trains didn’t bother us at all. The apartment is really cosy and comfortable. We ate in the Italian restaurant below and the food was delicious and the staff were lovely and friendly. I would also recommend The Foresters Arms for food as well. Adam, the host is great at communicating and even phoned to ask if everything had been ok. Would definitely stay there again if holidaying in the area. 😊 There is nothing not to like. Everything was great.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional - Location was excellent easy to find and host was great with great communication. Accommodation was clean and very well equipped
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully decorated light spacious apartment throughout, very well stocked with locally sourced handmade toiletries & very comfortable. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. The flat is above a family Italian restaurant in centre of Brockenhurst so very convenient for bars, shops, restaurants & next to the railway both go quiet very early though.
- Nancy (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (9/5): Great stay in lovely apartment - Very nicely presented, extremely clean apartment with good facilities. Good location close to station, shops, pubs and restaurants. We made use of the discount offered to us in Albero restaurant and The Snakecatcher pub, both of which did excellent food, so that was very helpful.
Communications with Adam were excellent, in particular help given re storing our luggage prior to check in. Small points: where the bed is situated next to sloping ceiling means it’s easy to bang your head getting in and out of it. Not sure if consideration could be given to moving it against another wall.
A few more hangers would be useful.
Neither thing majorly impacted on our enjoyment of the apartment.
- Andrew (8/5): Good alternative to hotels and central location makes accessible without car - - Central location Bed was too small - 5ft is the min this was less
- Siobhan (9/5): Perfect car free, mini break easy access from London - Exactly like photos, super clean and very convenient location for walking, train station and all the cute cafes in Brockenhurst. Would recommend. It was great. What’s not to like?!
- Laura (10/5): A wonderful stay in Brockenhurst - A lovely apartment in the centre of Brockenhurst with easy access to explore the New Forest. The apartment had everything we needed and great communication from the host.
- Caroline (10/5): Great stay - Everything you could ask for , a good central position , it was easy to find , plenty of parking, we were also given discount code for a couple of restaurants
Lots of communication from the host
- Phillip (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (9/5): A sunny few days in Brockenhurst. - Adam was always quick to respond to any question.
Great location in the centre of Brockenhurst.
Plenty of pubs near by to walk too & a lovely few restaurants (Italian) right on your doorstep. Nothing we didnt like.
Already let Adam know a clock would be nice in the apartment & some t-towels too.
- Katie (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (8/5): Great apartment and very comfortable, recommended - Very lovely apartment kitted out with everything you could need. It was lovely and warm at all times and modern interior. The bed was very comfortable and the shower really good. Nice touch with the Christmas tree inside and you get discount from the restaurant below. Its top floor (3rd) so no noise from the restaurant, the train line runs close and is busy but surprisingly it didn't bother me. Good parking area off road and at the rear of the property. Good owner with good communication. Would stay again. The kitchen sink plug didn't hold water but spoke to the owner and they are going to get a new one.
- Manish (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the stay, clean and tidy place with essential amenities. Conveniently close to New Forest National Park.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Weekend away - Great location, lovely and clean everything you need for a short stay in Brockenhurst
- Molly (9/5): Lovely apartment in a great location - Lovely clean apartment, well designed with a great modern kitchen and shower room. Free parking onsite. 3 pubs and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Owner arranged discount at Albero Restaurant and Snakecatcher Pub a bonus.. Train station across the road (trains quiet so did not disturb) giving easy access to coast in 12 minutes. Cycle hire across the road. Responsive owner. Sofa bed - used as a sofa was a little uncomfortable for long periods, Bit of noise from people accessing other apartments but only similar to what you would get staying in a hotel.
- Anonymous (8/5): Great little flat - The location is excellent, right at the heart of the New Forest.
The flat was clean and very beautiful.
Adam was really attentive and helpful, very fast to reply and accommodate anything we asked.
Local shops are nearby, the train station also very close.
Overall agreed experience, thank you Adam, we will be coming back! Proximity to the train tracks made it loud when the occasional fast train passed.
Kitchen facilities quite basic, but otherwise clean. Hard to cook a meal.
Sofa quite uncomfortable.
Also, ceilings were quite low at places (useful for tall people to know!)
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - A very well equipped apartment in a great location. we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay within the apartment and everything in Brockenhurst is within a few minutes walk. It is great having both Albero Italian Restaurant and the Snakecatcher pub so close - we had really good meals in both and would recommend.
- Catherine (8/5): A lovely little apartment, great location! - Fantastic location right in the centre of the New Forest. Lovely little apartment. Fantastic communication prior to arrival & we felt really welcome.
- Training (9/5): All in all it was a lovely apartment and a beautiful area to stay in. There are plenty if places to. - The apartment was very clean and spacious. Everything you could need was in the apartment. The apartment is close to lots of attractions, tea shops. New forest wildlife life park, deer sanctuary and many more. A member of staff and myself were supporting a lady to have a break away and we found out on the day of arrival the apartment was on the 3rd floor. The lady we supported did managed the stairs but someone less able might struggle.
I also asked for bedding for the sofa bed, which we didn't get, but I took over midweek and took my own.
- Zoe (10/5): Perfect trip - Had a lovely stay here, Adam was extremely helpful and the location was great! Really nice, tidy and spacious The noise from the station nearby but it wasn’t too bad
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): Very good apartment in a great location - The location to the local amenities in Brockenhurst was excellent.
The apartment was spacious and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Bed, shower, and kitchen were all good
Parking was available outside the building The settee was a bit uncomfortable and there is some minor noise from the early morning trains on the adjacent railway
- Aileen (10/5): Amazing location and cosy apartment - Perfect location to shops, restaurants and of course new forest. Apartment was perfect for our little family.
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Hollie (7/5): Lovely apartment in a great location - Location
Clean
Good size
Modern decor Opportunity for more cooking utensils. It was difficult to cook a family meal with one baking tray.
TV was slow to operate
- Adrian (8/5): Very good -
- Charlotte (6/5): Location good but not good in a heatwave - Location was excellent. The place was clean. Provision of toiletries and cleaning products was good.communication with landlord was good. Offer of discounts on a couple of local venues was excellent. The apartment is an attic conversion and when we stayed there was a heatwave which made the apartment very unpleasant to be in. There was one fan with a very short flex that could only fit into some sockets and not others. No air conditioning only heating. Open windows helped but the apartment is right next to the train line so you could not leave windows open at night.
Parking was hit and miss. Often we returned to find no spaces and had to park on the street. A dedicated bay would have helped!
- Caroline (4/5): The property did not live up to the reviews on your site and we would not return to this property. - The location was in the centre of the village near to a property I own that we are renovating We were told on arrival to move our car albeit on your site it advised parking was available. The restaurant below the accommodation wanted the available spaces for diners. There was no where to safely store our bikes. The facilities stated on your site were not in the property - no dining table, no desk, no tumble dryer. The host did provide an old dirty table and two chairs when asked. The sofa was worn out and the cushioning had collapsed. The TV did not work. We looked at the remote and the batteries had been leaking for a very long time. The kitchen equipment was very poor. We had two old pans and neither had a lid. The cork screw was broken. I had to go and ask the restaurant below for a new one. The shower head was leaking and malfunctioning. The temperature on the oven was not functioning correctly.
- John (7/5): Albero apartment - Overall apartment was good Bed to soft, room awkward, too hot all night, much too close to railway, didn't have hot water, one morning in the bathroom.
3setsof stairs to get into. Not told about this in information on booking. Com . Not very good for people with breathing problems.
- Fiona (9/5): Very enjoyable stay 😀 - Great apartment, clean, well equipped and great location for the forest and train station.
- Jackson (9/5): The quality of the apartment contributed to making this an extremely enjoyable stay - Beautifully finished and equipped apartment. Excellent pub and Italian restraint very close. TV needed fussy registration made even worse with a pathetically slow remote control
- Valerie (10/5): Comfortable flat in excellent location. - The flat is ideally located in the heart of Brockenhurst, with many restaurants/pubs , walking routes on your door step. Excellent and friendly communication with the host. The property is very easy to find and has a dedicated car park at the back, which is very convenient.
We really enjoyed our stay, the flat is comfortable; we highly recommend it.
- Rich (9/5): Superb - Great location, spotlessly clean, great communication from host. Loved the 15% discount at the amazing Italian restaurant below the apartment. 3 great pubs all within 2mins walk. Highly recommended. Everything was perfect!
- Victoria (9/5): Great location, host and apartment - Very clean, bright, well equipped apartment. Adam (host) was very responsive with questions. Great location, easy access to trails Nothing not to like.
- Suzanne (9/5): Great for a long weekend - Nice modern apartment, very central location in Brokcenhurst with everything you need to a long weekend. Adam was very helpful and attentive if you needed any assistance. I’d recommend it!
- Sally (10/5): Fabulous flat in Brockenhurst, ideal location to all essentials - The flat is in an ideal location in Brockenhurst. Trails, station and lovely restaurants within close proximity.
The flat is fabulous, spacious, cute, nicely decorated and had all we needed, as a family of 3. Exceptionally clean on arrival and the host, Adam, was attentive and friendly. No complaints at all. Highly recommend. The weather 🤣
- Alan (9/5): Superb - Very pretty apartment near to station. We only needed two nights. But has all the facilities for a two week stay. Nothing
- Elizabeth (8/5): A great stay - We had a great stay at this apartment in Brockenhurst, it is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is great with pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops and the station within easy reach. We loved the Italian restaurant underneath the apartment, really enjoyed the food. We hope to stay again, it suited us perfectly. We have no complaints about our stay - there seemed to be a problem with the television reception but it looked as if that was being dealt with as we left and it didn't really bother us.
- Ursula (10/5): Perfect weekend away, great communication from host, will definitely book again. - Clean, tidy and well equipped, perfectly located Really can’t think of anything 😊
- Mandy (10/5): Weekend break - The appartment was spotlessly clean and well decorated. The rooms were bright and comfortable and had everything you could possibly need.
The chocolates, teabags and coffee were a lovely touch and much appreciated. We dined next door at the Snakecatcher where the food and service was excellant. We will be back!
- Bonnie (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was very clean. Lots of windows, every room had natural light .
Very close to the train station, grocery store and many restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.
Any questions or concerns I had, these were answered quickly. Thank you Adam
- Julia (7/5): Good - Beautiful apartment, clean. Good location close to shops, pubs etc Blinds at the windows in the living area would have made our stay more comfortable. Car parking is a bit tight if you have a big car and not always space available for people staying on holiday
- Wayne (9/5): Brilliant 2 day stay, perfect location for bikes and straight into the New Forest. - Central location, walking distance to restaurants and pubs and bike hire which is based in the train station car park. Apartment was exceptionally clean and well presented and was perfect for a small family. The sofa bed in the lounge was comfortable for our daughter to sleep on. There were no blinds or curtains on the windows in the lounge/kitchen room. This meant it got very bright early for our daughter who was sleeping in there. Couldn’t also work out how to get the plugs to work in the kitchen and bathroom sinks!
- Vanessa (9/5): Superb - The apartment was bright and welcoming. Nicely decorated. Good communication from hosts about how to collect the keys, parking etc. The kitchen was well equipped. Hosts had left some tea/coffee and salt/pepper/oil for cooking, which was a nice touch. There were also local products in the bathroom such as hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner and an all-important toilet roll! There is ample parking at the rear of the building. We didn't dine at the restaurant in the building or at the local pub, but the 10% off food offer would have been great if we had time to use it. We didn't mind the train station being close and didn't hear any trains overnight. The area is quiet and close to places we needed to visit. There is a corner shop across the road for emergency supplies (it is quite expensive so if doing a bigger shop I would advise visiting a supermarket) Bed was comfortable and there was an option of the sofa bed if required. We had the top apartment, which was up a couple of sets of stairs, and there is no lift, so if you have any access difficulties, it might be better to check which apartment you will be staying in. Overall, it is a comfortable, affordable place to stay. We would re-book if we needed to visit the area again. The only recommendation I could make is that a blind could be fitted onto the skylight in the lounge and something to cover the kitchen window, the person sleeping on the sofa bed didn't really mind the light coming through in the early morning but someone else might find themselves being woken early which isn't always what you want when on holiday! The room isn't overlooked, so privacy wasn't an issue.
- Joshua (7/5): Good -
- Paul (10/5): Really nice apartment in a great location both locally and in the New Forest. - Lovely, centrally located apartment but still pleasantly quiet. Off street parking was a bonus but also only a minutes walk from the station. Nothing
- Jacqueline (10/5): I was on a walking holiday and this venue was perfect. Local shops to buy wine, food and snacks. - The location was amazing, right next to the Station in Brockenhurst and attached to an Italian Restaurant.
Good parking and it was a modern and well equipped flat, lots of persoanl touches for staying guests.
Hightly recommend and would certainly stay again.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, clean and comfortable, just above a great restaurant and next door to a good pub too. Short walk to the high street and right next to the station.
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional - Everything and more you could possibly need. Such a great location, great safe and cosy space. Felt like a home away from home. Will definitely be staying again!
- Aleshaday (10/5): Lovely apartment - Beautiful, modern and clean apartment just minutes from the station. Our host Adam was very kind and helpful during our stay, he even offered us a 15% discount for 2 nearby restaurants which was amazing. Child friendly flat and location - motor museum and longdown activity farm is less than 15 minutes away. A great weekend spent in the new forest.
- Odysseas (9/5): Lovely apartment very easy to explore the area and visit New Forest. - Lovely decoration and comfortable facilities in the flat. Everything was easy to find and the bedroom was the cutest area. There could have been more cleaning products to use as we cooked in the house both days. The cleaning kit provided is a very clever idea, but nothing was available for cleaning the surfaces or the toilet.
- Vicki (10/5): Had a fab few days away. The communication with the host was second to none, such quick replies to any questions I had. - It was really clean, ideal for a few days (or more) away, good size for two of us. I love brockenhurst anyway! Close to walk to restaurants to eat in the evening. Can’t think of anything
- Robert (9/5): A comfortable stay in Brockenhurst. - Property very nice and easy to get to. Good location for seeing other parts of the New Forest and using all facilities in Brockenhurst. Nicely decorated comfortable. Nothing to dislike.
- Michelle (10/5): A little tucked away luxury getaway - An absolute little gem tucked up and away above a quiet little Italian restaurant. The most tidiest, clean and well equipped self contained flat I've seen in a long time,
Adam has thought of everything, a large fan in the bedroom, hangers in warbdrobe,a proper hairdryer and iron, loads of plug sockets everywhere, coat hooks, tea towel, extra toilet rolls, a little cleaning pack with dishwasher tabs, washing pod, a cloth, a liquid, bin bag etc.
Plenty of tea, coffee and sugar sachets in the canisters to have a nice drink on arrival.
Bed was super comfy and quality m&s bedding and Egyptian towels just added a touch of luxury.
Amazing shower , free toiletries, which was fab as I forgot my conditioner!
Lovely walk around the village, there's a tesco, a coop and a premier and a cute little coffee pod across the road to grab a coffee to hold whilst you walk up and look at the Ford and horses.
Adam was super quick with getting back to me everytime I messaged him and was so helpful.
Train station across the road and would make a idea place to stay if needing to get train somewhere.
Trains going passed never bothered us , we quite liked it. There's nothing to say here!
