- Richard (4/5): - We stayed for 4 days and the pool was unusable for the duration. There was a disgusting film on top, sand and debris at the bottom and a greenish hue to the water. Not what you expect when booking a motel with a pool.

- Katelyn (8/5): Nice place- reduce the texts! - Nice place, clean, great location to walk to all local attractions. Enjoyed our quick get away EXCEPT for receiving too many texts with the same information. 4 texts informing me about pet fee and I did not have a pet. 3 texts beginning around 8:00 am that my checkout time was 11am and I had really hoped to sleep late. We are new parents and had 24 hours to rest without kids and the text messages constantly coming in was truly a nuisance. It interrupted my rest (I can’t turn off notifications when leaving 2 small children with grandparents) it kept me checking my phone when I just wanted to relax. Texts about pets, checking in, times, checking out, etc. multiple texts reminding me of quiet hours when I needed into be quiet. please- I can honestly say - I’m not sure I would stay again even though it’s a nice place. I really needed to not have 3-5 texts about the same thing for hours.

- Lindsey (2/5): - Staff were unpleasant over the phone and claimed we were there multiple nights already when we called, when we only had just checked in. The room as so small and full of furniture you couldn’t even walk past the dresser and bed, it was a horrible set up. Many unleashed dogs were at the property as well creating a huge issue for those with dogs leashed. We wanted to call, but didn’t due to the woman on the phone being so rude the first time. Hallway entry door has an interior lock on it, which was also concerning about possibly being locked out. Hallways smelled like weed as well. Parking was horrific at the motel specifically. I do not recommend this motel.
- Susan (6/5): - Standard room with queen bed. Small size. Would definitely not recommend the standard room. Room was clean. Parking is a problem. Our room has no assigned space. Came home from dinner and no parking was available. The motel rents their parking lot out to a Mexican restaurant which is unacceptable. Paid almost $500 for 2 bites and no parking available. Unacceptable. Good location but would not stay again.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - My only issue was the number of texts i got the day we left for our trip. It asked me to sign saying i read the rules of the motel. It also said we could not park until 4pm the day we arrived. These are things that should be disclosed and requested way before i leave for my trip. I found it very inconvenient to not be able to park until 4pm that day. The texts also said you had to pay a pet fee. none of that was disclosed on the hotels.com.website. luckily my dad was able to keep our dogs at his house.

Did see a few small cockroaches in bathroom but none otherwise. Bed was very soft and comfortable. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Board-walk a few steps away. Dog friendly.

- Verified traveler (8/5): great location, but a few concerns. - We were in room #1. Love the location, but parking was really tight. Unfortunately, there was no way to adjust the direction of the air flow from the the split A/C unit, so the air blew directly on our heads. The tenants above us made a lot of noise and often sounded like they were moving furniture. I wish we had brought a fan to drown out the noise.
- angela (4/5): it was okay but… - We arrived a little early and decided to go ahead and park in our spot while we waited for our room to be ready. We were in spot 12 and were confused with how to fit because to the left was parking but horizontally, while we were supposed to park vertically, so we ended up parking at an angle because there was little to no space for us to even fit going vertically. Then another guest arrived and was confused on how to park next to us because we had to park at an angle, so he goes to get the lady who was working i believe her name is Julie, comes to our window and knocks on it and first goes “HOLA…. HELLO?”in a rude tone and first of all, i find that to be a little racist because although my friend looks hispanic, she is not. Then she asks us to move our car, we explain to her we don’t know how to because we can’t park the car straight because the other car right next to us, that is parked horizontally, does NOT allow us to park straight because it is too far out. So we fix our parking and she continues to say it’s wrong, so we ask how we should park and she responds “umm i don’t know maybe park better?” and we were all shocked with how we were being treated as guests. we eventually fixed the parking but the whole time she was just throwing a fit and yelling and being rude, i guess she was having a rough time but still, to start our trip off like that was not good. She eventually apologized but i only feel like she did that to save herself. Also the pull out couch had mold.

The location was great with many good restaurants, a local grocery store and the beach all within a couple minute walk from our room. We absolutely will be coming back to stay here again.

Had fridge microwave and single Kurig with k cups and supplies. Bed was very good, clean meals seen bathroom. Cute balcony seating for watching the lights of the rides. Quiet. Families. Will go back!

- Keith (2/5): Unacceptable we won’t be back! - Room was very tight could barely walk around the bed,microwave and coffee maker wasn’t plugged up. Had to sit them in the floor next to an outlet to be able to use. Shower curtain was too short so if you tried to take a shower, the water came out on the floor of the bathroom, we were scared it might mess up the floor and we be charged for the damage, it was so small you couldn’t turn around Inside of it so we didn’t use Had to wash up out of the sink !Was not the room I saw looking at the pictures Just a very, very small room.
- Richard (10/5): - Very nice people! If you’re in need of space don’t rent the economy room, it’s very small!! Had a hard time getting around with suitcases! But for as much time as we spent in the room it wasn’t really a problem! My only complaint was that the pool was very cloudy and no net around it to remove bugs, as the pump wasn’t working properly! It was close to everything that we wanted to do and very clean room.

The parking is a bit congested, but we ended up not having a problem. We'd book again if in the area because it was a very reasonable price for being so close to the beach and boardwalk!

- Jeffrey (2/5): - We arrived at about 3pm and was told the room would not be available until 4pm. We went to get a bite to eat and came back. The room was hot and the AC was npt working. I put a call into regarding their msg service and was told the AC tech wasn't a available but someone would come and check it. The temp in the room was 80 degrees, because the blower on the AC unit wasn't blowing at all. We decided to tey the pool while waiting. The pool was murky and and need of repair. When the hotel representative finally showed up we were given the option to either stay with no AC or vacate the room. No other choices. It took us nearly an hour to find another place to stay, and the entire time I being bombarded with texts wanting to know if we're out. The pics for the rooms are staged and filtered the rooms in person are dirty and worn. The patio furniture in the photos is non existent. What staff you will see are rude and completely unhelpful. Lesson learned.

- Christine (8/5): Cute motel - Very cute motel located a short walk from the beach. Upon arrival noticed hair in shower but house keeping were there and quickly remedied the situation. The young lady was kind and professional and let us know about other services available, such as extra towels or bedding. It would be nice to have more than one trash can available as there was only one in the bathroom and at the coffee bar, nowhere to put your trash. Great balcony area which was very much used even with tropical storm rolling in.

- Rebecca (2/5): - If you are looking for relaxing, don't stay here. The room next to us had 12 tenants and kept us up all night until after 2:00 am. We could smell weed in our room as well. The worst part was I called the front desk""" and she said ma'm its Caroline Beach in the summer. Pitiful comment since we spent over $250.00 to stay! No resolve either just deal with it kind of attitude. When I woke up for work I made sure the neighbors that kept us up all night were up and ready to start their day as well!

- Brittany (8/5): - Loved the private porch we had off our room. Room was cute & recently renovated. Easy to park, quick walk to many stores and restaurants. Only things I'd change is to have a chain on the door (love the keypad, though but had a kiddo with us and was just worried about him being able to easily leave the room), and having a 2nd trash can or a bigger one would be nice; otherwise, we enjoyed our stay! We had plenty of towels and liked being able to text if we needed anything or had questions. Was also nice to be able to stay parked for a bit after checkout! Thanks for making my husband's birthday an enjoyable and relaxing one!

- Michelle (2/5): Not a fan but the location is convenient - The motel is conveniently located near a ton of restaurants, walking distance to the boardwalk and the beach if you don’t want to bring more than a towel and sunscreen. However, though the room was clean, it was small. The bathroom was even smaller so your knees touched the wall while you use the toilet. Unfortunately, we felt so unsafe, we left first thing in the morning to find another hotel, even though we paid for 2 nights. It looked as though someone was living in one of the rooms on the first floor and the people in the room right next to us were up all night smoking weed and cigarettes on our shared balcony as well as it was very noisy all around us. Last, the parking is pretty tight if you’re in the building with rooms 1-7.

- Misty (10/5): - Love seeing these old places getting remodeled. This place is super cute. Beds are comfy and water pressure is great. The only issue we had was parking. Each room should have a numbered parking spot. The 1 vehicle rule should be enforced. There were several families with 2 or more vehicles.
- Stephanie (2/5): - I feel that this place is only concerned with the money they make and not the customer experience like other places in the area. Communication was via text only and response time was slow and even nonexistent. My issues were ignored and left unaddressed. Very disappointing. Some people should just avoid the hospitality business if they don’t want to be bothered.
- Joy (2/5): - The air conditioner didn't work neither did the microwave. Because it doesn't have a front desk I just dealt with it since I was tired and it was late in the day when I arrived. This pretty much ruined by night as I brought food to eat that needed to be heated. In the morning, 15 minutes before leaving I get a knock asking if I needed anything. Come on. She was there making sure I left by check out at 11. I told her about the ac and the microwave. I also complained to expedia and to the motel through their text goodbye. I got a response saying if I had said something they would have moved me. and that the microwave wasn't plugged in. That is some classic gaslighting. Instead of apologizing and asking what could make it right they blame it on me? They didn't respond when I asked who was I supposed to ask about moving since there is no front desk. Yeah the customer service is all about them not the guest.

- William (2/5): Think smaller than a postage stamp ... - If you choose this hotel pick your room carefully and park early not much room. Speaking of the room even if it was pretty new fixtures it was by far the worst room we have ever stayed. It was in an alley way. Our small window looked on the beautiful site of two large propane tanks! We had to crab walk around the bed and climb over it to avoid the other person. Our dog couldnt find a place to lay down so went into the bathroom to sleep. Speaking of the bathroom... if you would like to take a shower in something that is as big as a coffin. This place is for you. If i hadnt paid so much to stay there it might have been laughable. We have stayed in small hotel rooms in europe but this beat anything you can imagine.also be careful of the cement la nding. It has no guard rails. Someone will get hurt
- Collin (8/5): - Carolina beach motel was very clean and well renovated. The location to the boardwalk was awesome. We did a single queen room and the room was very small. About a foot of space around each side of the bed and that was it. The shower was also very small. I’m 6’1 240 pounds and it was very difficult to shower at my size, but it did get me he job done. Overall it was a very clean room, comfortable bed, in a great location at a great price. We would probably stay here again.

- Jacob (8/5): - Great location, able to walk to the beach & a lot of dining options! Clean room, all good. Pity the pool looked great but still locked / closed. Bathroom @ room 13 had an issue with a way too short shower curtain that left the floor flooded every time.

- Loshaneque (10/5): - I like the cozy and homey feel that we felt inside our room. Also, the property was very clean inside and out. It was nice and quiet, especially in the evenings, when you would normally expect to hear more commotion. The property is in the middle of all of the excitement as well. I also truly appreciate that the property's staff was in regular communication with me and they promptly answered any questions that I had during my stay. Will stay here again.
- Kathleen (6/5): It was ok! - It was amazing trip. The only part that was bad was the shower. The shower wasn’t clean. Otherwise it was good. I let the manager know and I hope it will be clean for the next guest. I will not be back. Maybe some will see it as not important, but every guest should have a clean bathroom when they check in. That’s just good customer service. I’ve been in customer service for five years and I think that having a bathroom that’s not when I arrive is not good.
- Scott (6/5): - Very convenient to the beach. Parking area is very limited and tight. Noises can easily be heard from other units, bring a white noise machine to help have a good night's sleep. If on the first floor you will hear the occupants above walking around.

- Jenny (2/5): NOT SAFE NOT CLEAN NOT NOT FOR FAMILY !!!! - NOT FOR FAMILY STAY IS TERRIBLE WITH LITTLE CHILDRENS. Our deaf toddler got sick the first night , very thing walls we could hear All conversations, bathroom super tiny and we found poop on the toilet when we arrived . and due to the fact that our toddler got sick and was crying that made the guests bangs the walls and say shut up to us , we notified management of the problem and instead of them taking care of it they allow the guests to call the police on us because they heard our kid crying . Yes our toddler was in pain sick and we were trying to leave the motel that night we didn’t feel safe with those angry guests , no manager on sight you are on your own . We tried to ask for refund since we only spent 1 night out of 4 nights , management said they were sticking to their policy and not refund us or care to make us feel welcome or care for . We felt discriminated and unsafe . EVEN THE POLICE APOLOGIZED TO US FOR THE EVENT . This motel is TERRIBLE . NEVER AGAIN !!

- Kristin (10/5): Hidden gem - The room was very clean and comfortable and located close to the Carolina Beach boardwalk. The heat in my room was not working and I texted the motel manager. They were very responsive and had someone out within the hour to fix the heat. When they couldn't fix it, they moved me to another room that was nicer than my original booking. I would stay here again.
- Mark (4/5): - The property was fine, small but quaint. However, there was a lot of floral scent in all the linens, towels, and generally all over the place and it was causing us allergic reactions, or at leasr nasal irritations. Also, The worst part was the hot water was not working. We ended up leaving and driving home at 2: a.m. I called the office in the morning to inform them, but there response was that I should have called, and they could have sent maontenance out in the morning-a useless gesture. They didn't seem to care.
- Suzanne (10/5): - The room was clean. The bathroom was rather small and there was only one small trashcan in the bathroom. It would be helpful to have another trashcan. The location was great! Each room had chairs and a table outside of it, which would be nice in warmer weather. The keypad light also did not work, which made it difficult to see the numbers to get in the door. Overall, a good deal.
- Kathryn (10/5): Wonderful Respite - We loved our time at Carolina Beach Motel- We only spent 1 night but they were so accommodating when we had car trouble and trip was delayed a day. Staff was helpful with check in and we loved being able to walk to Mexican restaurant for dinner! Also walking distance to beach and shops. We will definitely be back- space is small but wonderfully thought out and includes a microwave, adorable fridge and coffee maker. It was immaculately clean and plenty of towels which is a huge bonus!
