We absolutely fell in love with the villa — it was beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy such a special time together. The private pool quickly became one of our favourite parts of the stay, especially in the heat, and the air conditioning was an absolute lifesaver. We were also incredibly fortunate that during occasional power outages, the electricity would usually return within 5 minutes, which made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. What truly made the experience unforgettable, however, was the exceptional staff. Everyone was absolutely remarkable and so incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Emmanuel, in particular, went above and beyond for us. From recommending wonderful places to visit, to assisting us with tuk tuk driver contacts and helping us navigate the area with ease, his kindness and attentiveness never went unnoticed. There were even days where we felt far too relaxed to leave the villa, and Emmanuel was always more than willing to assist us by arranging grocery runs without hesitation. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel so looked after. We are deeply grateful for the hospitality we received and will cherish the memories from this stay for a very long time.

• Okpara (5/5): I won’t be returning thanks - The property is nicely equipped The manager or staff called Emmanuel kept reminding us he is doing us a favour,, I advise there should be an house keeper that can run errands for guest not the manager running errands because he kept on reminding me especially he was doing me a favour!!!

• DuliB (10/5): Our trip to Zanzibar was unforgettable, and staying here made it even more special. - The location was excellent! Just a short walk to Mapacha Food Court, Bento Food Court, and the beautiful Paje Beach. The staff, especially the property manager Emmanuel, was friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any queries during our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely book this property again for my next trip to Zanzibar. Highly recommended to friends and fellow travellers!

And looks exactly like the pictures if not more stunning in person. The staff were so nice and helpful and we truly felt comfortable and taken care of here. The villa is also located in a gated community with security at the door and it is located walking distance to the famous Spa called Maalum with natural pools and wonderful massages. The area is a bit slippery so you need to be careful. We didn't have an iron even though we found an ironing board

• Volkan (10/5): A safe, clean and beautiful stay! - Our stay was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We arrived late at night, and the key was safely secured in a lockbox with a code sent to us in advance — which made check-in completely stress-free. When we entered the accommodation, it was spotless and even more spacious than we expected. The pool was always clean and well maintained, and housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay. A special thank you to Lesley, who went above and beyond to help us when our first flight got cancelled. She arranged everything in the background, allowing us to enjoy a truly stress-free stay. A thoughtful detail we really appreciated was the luggage scale — very useful after buying many gifts for family and friends. We also received great assistance with arranging local transport such as tuk-tuks and taxis, thanks to Lesley and Emmanuel’s helpful advice. The compound is well secured, which gave us extra peace of mind. Overall, this was one of the best accommodations we have ever stayed in. If I travel to Zanzibar again — which I definitely will — I won’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the privacy, the beautiful open design, and the overall peaceful atmosphere of the villa. The private plunge pool was a highlight—perfect for relaxing at any time of day while feeling completely immersed in the natural surroundings. The villa was a true sanctuary: quiet, spacious, and thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with Zanzibar’s beauty. Everything about the setting encourages you to slow down and unwind, making it the ideal escape from everyday life.

Complexe sécurisé avec un agent à l’entrée qui filtre chaque entrée (très gentil également) Un grand merci à Lesley pour son accueil et sa disponibilité, elle était toujours joignable si nous avions des questions sur la villa ou les alentours. Juste le nettoyage de la piscine, il faut penser à demander ce n’est pas fait systématiquement.

• michel (8/5): Lieu moderne et chaleureux - Les maisons ont beaucoup de charme et sont très bien équipées. La proposition d'un repas livré ou la venue d'un chef à domicile sont un vrai plus. On peut se rendre à pied à la plage en 15mn. Gardiennage efficace et rassurant. Les maisons sont vraiment proches les unes des autres et les bruits des voisins passent par dessus les murs. Un problème technique n'a pas su être résolu dans la soirée.

• Tyesha (10/5): Great! - I had such a fantastic experience staying at Paje Emerald Escapes! The villas are absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-designed, and a true slice of paradise. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Leslie, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. From arranging airport transfers to organizing tuk-tuk shuttles, she was constantly helpful, professional, and incredibly sweet. Her kindness really made me feel at home. I’d also love to give a special shoutout to Salim for helping me out when a few geckos made their way into the villa. He came over right away, was extremely helpful, and so kind throughout. I would absolutely stay here again—not just for the stunning villas, but because the people here genuinely care. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Paje! One suggestion for the owners: if you're planning to offer in-house dining or chef services in the future, I’d love to see Tanzanian cuisine featured front and center. While many places offer European or French-inspired food, part of the magic of being in Zanzibar is experiencing the local culture—including the food. Having a local chef would really complete the experience and give guests a deeper connection to the island.

• Santhanam (8/5): Comfortable but lacking some basic amenities. - Spacious ground floor with swimming pool. Had to pay 35000 TSH (about $13 USD) to have staff go and buy us laundry detergent (24k for the detergent and 10k for the staff to go buy it, 1k for lack of change). Did not realize that staff would go buy Costco size giant detergent (5 lbs) for our 3 night stay and expense it to us. I was expecting they would be resourceful and get me a couple of pods or powder for a couple of washes and not really charge us for this advertised benefit (washer). Note that there’s no dryer and we had our line dried clothes get wet because of the rains during the day and had to bring clothes inside and spread them all over the place to get them dry before our flight. They did not have any games and couldn’t get us any despite our request. Nungwi beach is about 1 hr 45 mins away so location wasn’t very convenient and there’s not much to do around Paje.

The private pool was a major highlight — crystal clear and perfect for relaxing under the sun. Whether we were chilling by the poolside or enjoying drinks on the patio, every corner of the place felt like a dream. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Plus, the location was ideal — close to a lot of things around Paje. The villa is beautiful and is aesthetically pleasing however comfort was key for us.. the couch is hard, you can’t sit and watch TV, you had to go to the one room where the bed was softer ( the other room’s bed was so hard).. lovely place but comfort for us is key. Water was cold on some mornings. We weren’t told when the pool guy would be coming, sometimes he would just come.
