- Wilhelm (10/5): Exceptional - First of all, the houses are a little bit up the road, not where Google Maps locates them. But we asked at a shop and with their house number, we could locate Yexalen. Shortly after us, Patricia arrived to give us the keys and to show us the apartment. It has a lot of space, wifi was working fine (and free of charge). It's in walking distance to a big supermarket (La Anônima) and you can do your own food in the well equipped kitchen. It's quite a walk from the main street of El Calafate, but with a car not really a problem.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - Good value-for-money accomodation with all necessities to cook and sleep. Large house able to sleep 4 persons without using the couch. Far enough from the street not to be disturbed by any noise. 20min walk from the city center, downhill towards the city. Supermarket in a 5min walk, which was convenient. Friendly host with flexibility towards check-in hour. Location was hard to find in the dark: plotting the address in Google Maps gets you to a wrong location way further on the road. When you search for the accomodation on Google Maps with the actual name (Yexalen) it's the correct location, but make sure to have offline maps downloaded of El Calafate or that won't help you out when you arrive without Chilean mobile reception.
