• Ülkü Demir (10/5): Çok güzeldi, tavsiye ediyorum. - Evde herşey düşünülmüş, kahvemize kadar. Tertemizdi, eve girildiği anda temizlik kokuları geliyordu. Isınması çok iyiydi. Ev sahibi çok ilgiliydi, her mesajımıza anında cevap verdi. Girişimiz sorunsuzdu, çok iyi yönlendirildik. Kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum. Eve girişte biraz merdivenlere maruz kalınıyor.
• Alan (9/5): - The flat is really nice and the renters have thought of pretty much everything you could possibly need. The location is brilliant, close to the castle and nearby restaurants and pubs. A walk over the hill and down the other side and you reach Princes Street, great for shops and restaurants. We think that what let the property down was the communal stairs to the flat, a bit shabby and could do with the areas of mould filling and a coat of paint all the way up. This would make the building much more welcoming. We think this needs all the property owners to get together to sorting out.
• Adriana (10/5): Cozy and comfortable- great stay! - La ubicación es excelente, y hasta hace olvidar las muchas, muchas escaleras que hay que subir desde el Grassmarket o bajar desde el Castillo (las del Grassmarket se me hacen más suaves).... El apartamento tiene todo, la cama comodísima, la cocina 100/10, la sala super cozy, la ducha deliciosa. Lavadora y tendedero, calefacción, todo perfecto. La pasé muy bien! Lo único que no funcionó bien para mí fue el televisor, que se activaba únicamente con AppleTV... y yo tengo un Android. Pero bueno, no estaba en Escocia para ver TV! El otro tema fueron las muchas escaleras, pero ya no es culpa del apartamento.
• Enrique (9/5): Bello Edimburgo. - Apartamento ideal en, ahora que ya conocemos Edimburgo, una de las zonas con más encanto de la ciudad, Grassmarket, con vistas desde el salón al Castillo, en pleno centro, muy cerca de casi todos los monumentos y museos de Edimburgo. EL apartamento muy completo con todo, tostadora, lavadora e incluso lavavajillas, que no suele ser habitual. Muy limpio y acogedor. Los dueños, muy atentos a ofrecernos ayuda en lo que necesitásemos. Sin duda repetiremos en el mismo apartamento en próximos viajes. Edimburgo nos ha encantado. Nada.

• Janette (8/5): Great short stay. Would definitely recommend the property - Central location. The property was well stocked with toiletries. Kitchen was well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Initially trying to get heating to work. Did eventually manage it with help of messaging in the booking.com. They were very helpful. Couldn’t work the tv but didn’t ask how to work it. We had brought an iPad so watched it. Bathroom could do with some tlc. It had wooden flooring and it had warped a little.

• Cosetta (9/5): Che splendida posizione ... ma attenti alle scale - Appartamento accogliente e ben attrezzato proprio sotto il castello! Essendo stati li' durante i Military Tatoo questo ci ha anche permesso la sera di sentire le musiche delle bande protagoniste dello spettacolo e di vedere le proiezioni sulle mura del castello. In più a 2 minuti a piedi dalla casa sfilavano ,in modalità parata, le bande in uscita dal Tatoo. Per ultima quella scozzese con le splendide e coinvolgenti cornamuse. Una splendida atmosfera. Unica direi Il letto matrimoniale è piu una piazza e mezza che un vero matrimoniale. Puo' nn essere un problema ma è giusto saperlo Una nota potenzialmente utile ai prossimi ospiti: l'accesso all'appartamento puo essere difficoltoso se si hanno bagagli pesanti a causa della presenza di scale piuttosto ripide. È qualcosa di molto tipico e caratterizzante l'Edimburgo vecchia ma va gestito. Quindi se avete valige pesanti passate assolutamente dalla strada sotto (non passate dalla Royal Mile perché dovere fare tante scale, anche ripide. Può essere divertente ma anche pesante). Qualcosa al riguardo era indicato nelle istruzioni ma nn ricordo quanto fosse messo in evidenza e cmq nn mi sembra fosse presente nella descrizione dell'appartamento. Un suggerimento per i proprietari: rendete in qualche modo facilmente identificabile la cassetta contenente le chiavi dell'appartamento perché ci sono molte cassette simili e bisogna fare una vera ricerca per trovare quella giusta (la foto con le indicazioni non era aggiornata)

• Dannisen (8/5): Short but sweet - Central Lack of description (photo included) to get to the place for the first time. The front door of the building is always dirty. The tv was always a struggle as the remote is not even charged properly maybe. Room for improvement: The tv is not a smart one, including other services such as Netflix
• Christa (6/5): For the price I paid and the pictures on Booking.com I would not return. - It was well situated as far as access to the old town goes. Kitchen is great and bed comfortable. Arrival and departure were great. Host replied promptly to emails. Rather tired especially flooring and areas in the bathroom.Dinning room chairs badly stained. The ceiling in the sitting room has an ugly water mark. The entrance to the building is very run down and dirty.

• Karen (5/5): Disappointing. Appalling. Waste of time and money!!! - The location to the sites was excellent but to get there was HOrRIBLE. NO mention in the description of no taxi access due to pedestrian area sand the FIfTY steps straight up to get to the apartment and then another 3 floors up-another 25 steps WITH LUGGAGE! Too may didn’t for one area! ! Everything else!!! No extra linens or pillows available. Was given one towel each for 4 days!!! I am allergic to down and they had no replacements for pillows or comforter! I had no idea how to turn the heat on and FROZE the first night all night! They do not answer messages for 11 or so hours. The hot water did not work for 2 days!!! In freezing Scotland!!! And to top it off it was almost 1,000 pounds over 1000.00 for 4 Nights!!! Horrible. Poor poor value for the money. We lost two days because we stayed there.

• Barbara (9/5): Excellent location, lovely view, well equipped. - This flat is in a perfect location as long as you can manage steps and stairs. Access was strightforward and the flat had everything you might need - although I did not find the drawer of Kitchen equipment that is below th oven until my final morning! THere is some noise from people using the street outside but no major problem. The WiFi went off on my first evening and was off for about 24hours, which made some of the work I was committed to carrying out a bit of a challenge. However the team from the owners were supportive and did what they could to restore connection - the issue was with the provider undertaking an update rather than the in house equipment, so no fault with the property. I will certainly stay here again.

• India (10/5): Excellent place to stay in Edinburgh - Honestly the location was amazing, the bed was comfortable, the apartment was warm and had good insulation. It has everything you could need such as cooking utensils etc I highly recommend staying here. It can get a little noisy at times but we only noticed it once and for short period of time.

• Arthur (8/5): Mostly super - I'd come back - Super wee house! I would book again. Some suggestions... Television difficult to use. Suggest accessing Freeview. Laminate floor coverings showing their age - letting the super wee house down just a bit. Toilet seat cracked. Not a good look
• Rosalyn (8/5): Great spot near the Castle and walking distance to most things - The property is the perfect spot for a base to explore Edinburgh, right near the castle and grass market area and all its boutique shops. Loads of drawers in the bedroom and a comfy bed, nice dining space overlooking the gardens and castle The property was lacking some basics such as trays for the oven and cutlery. The airer was missing when we were there which was an issue, the description states that there are streaming platforms such as Netflix but this isn’t the case, unless you have your own subscription to log into. There was no advice on the best way to get to the property from the main bus/train/tram stops and in fact there is a very easy route that is mostly flat or a very steep route full of steps, guess which one we used the first night! Some basic supplies would be beneficial as there was tea but no milk or milk substitute, no other ‘treats’ left either which is unusual.

• Sarah (8/5): Very good - This is a beautiful apartment, more spacious than I expected. The view of the castle on one side and lovely stone walls and greenery on the other make it bright and pleasant to be in.

Local coffee shops and pubs are fantastic. we are not local to the area. a little extra info on how many stairs there was would have been helpful. we didn't think to ask ahead of time (slight mobility issue). Couldn't get TV controller to work but that's ok we weren't visiting to watch TV.

Full kitchen with laundry Bed was kinda small for 2 people. Street noise was pretty minimal but I wonder what it’s like on a weekend. Not handicap accessible

The number on the door to the flat on the second floor must be included. We did not know that we had to go into the building. Please look at the description as to how to enter the property, then the staircase, and the number on the door to enter

• Blaise (8/5): Last couple of days in Edinburgh with a view of the Castle what more could you want. - Centrally located and spacious. Had the best shower of my whole stay in Scotland. Was comfortable and well stocked with everything to make a good stay. Staff were very helpful, reactive and accommodating. The alley it is on can be a bit noisy and needs a bit of a clean.
• Holly (9/5): I splurged to rent an apartment in Edinburgh and in the end felt it was definitely worth it. - Excellent location making all of prime tourist attractions in Edinburgh within easy wlking distance. The apartment was quiet and contained all amenities needed for a great stay. From the outside things looked sketchy with trash on the stairway up to the apartment and graffiti on some walls - but certainly not the fault of the property or its owner! Once inside, peace and cleanliness ruled. As noted in the listing, it is important that guests know they will have stairs to negotiate with their suitcase. We traveled with carry-on size, so were fine.

• Laurel (8/5): Great stay in central Edinburgh - Amazing location with a view of the castle and near tons of restaurants and shops. Nice and spacious and the living room was very comfortable! Everything is contactless which makes things easy, however it does mean there's no office or lobby where you can store bags before or after the stay. Not a huge problem as there's bag storage at the train station.

You have to be prepared to take some steep steps to access the apartment, no matter which street you choose to access it from. But such is Edinburgh. Maybe not that suitable for someone with leg problems
